    You can also strip the cloth jacket from parachute cord, slip over regular insulated wire, and get the look of cloth covered wire.

    Sweet! Maybe in the future an intake/carb change would be cool (if you’re like most guys you’re always tinkering) . You could make a manifold and run some crazy carb combo on such a big motor.

    Correction. Trunk lid has 114 louvres in it. I counted 'em.

    I wonder how it compares in weight to the monster American LaFrance lump. Like this one, it's a flathead V-12 - but with a weird sideways version of the flathead layout, halfway between L-head and OHV. It's a 527 rather than a 460, and is said to weigh some 1,000 pounds.

    This is what hot rodding was REALLY about from its start. Guys using thier individual ingenuity and imagination to make their rod their way. And in doing so cause, either directly or by the stimulus they exert on car makers or specialty equipment manufacturers, a long line of innovative advances which, in time, have benefited all car owners in on many levels of new car designs.
