Remember to take pictures of the damage, so they can't charge you when you move out. And you could also try and ask your landlord if there's anything you can get rid of i.e. things the last tenant left behind. So you don't have to use all of your wardrobe space on hiding furniture😅💛

@@RohitKumar-zv9ns lol no one is hating. Its just the majority of the population and the people who watch her videos are those who cant afford to live expensive lifestyles. In London England -- the housing is expensive. So her apartment is probably the most realistic. I am a viewer of hers and I appreciate her for being honest and real. She shows the bad sides and before version of her apartment, instead of only showing the good. Todays world the media portrays everyones life to be picture perfect but in reality that is not the case. And she has been open about her life multiple times on her channel.

I’m so confused, are tenants not required to clear and clean places before you rent them in the UK? In Australia you have to have the place professionally cleaned and unless its landlords furniture you aren’t allowed to leave anything behind.

It’s so interesting how furniture is included with the apartment. In America, you get a bare bones apartment and in LA, you usually don’t even get a refrigerator 🤷🏽♀️

I don't know where you live but in the UK, a lot of flats are already furnished by the owner of flat. So these are things you cannot get rid off.

The "meet the landlord" part is actually a little unusual. Not sure why they did that, maybe just because they had a number of applicants. The agent should have let you know that you didn't get it! Unprofessional. For the one you got in the end, didn't you have to do any referencing? In the video you went right to the tenancy agreement...

@@iviefirestarter It's unusual to have a "meet the landlord" session, like an interview. You might meet the landlord by chance, for example if they are doing viewings themselves. But you don't usually see people having to meet the landlord as an exercise to help the landlord choose which tenant to take. It's very unusual, at least in my experience - and I've moved about 10 times in the last 10 years.

I’m loving that flat! However personally I think that the red on the sofas looks well nice. In my opinion, without the covers, it’s more you and would brighten up the room a lot more.
I started watching Taz a long time ago, when she only posted spoken word poems, and she was a big reason why I started writing and sharing them on TH-cam as well. To see her grow so much, especially over the last year, makes me so proud of her and happy. Because she genuinely seems happy, even with some more difficult moments, we can get to happiness, if we put in some effort and I think Taz shows that in such a relatable way 😊

Thank you for showing the one you didn't get but loved and your reaction to it. Six months ago my fiance and I were looking for somewhere to move cause our last place was too small and not great and we had a couple of disappoinments trying to find the one we finally got. We love our current place, we made it ours and it helped so much with our mental health (crazy how environment takes a part on it!) I'm so happy for you!

You need some accessories for that home! Some nice art/rugs/throws/cushions/lighting and house plants to take advantage of all that natural light! Something to add some personality - the space has so much potential but it looks so stark, dated and basic right now! Look forward to seeing an update!

I don’t know anyone that would want to live in London. I live in Yorkshire and house and flat prices here are unreal, I live in a 2 bedroom house in a nice area for £600 a month. The most you would pay for a house is £180,000 and that’s for a huge house

Zippy Cohen for a whole house that makes sense but for a flat it’s just insane, mines a houseshare but it’s a double room in a big house with a spare room and garden in a nice area, if I had that amount of excess money I’d be saving for a deposit for sure because the mortgage p/m will be at least half of the rent of a studio apartment and you’re actually paying it off to own!

Slum landlords in London make me so mad. The quality of the flats is terrible for the money you pay. I lived in London for 9 years and had 0 savings but had the best years of my life. But now I’m renting a gorgeous 2 bed modern flat outside of London with my partner and I commute in for TH-cam meetings & auditions. I wish you the best lovely, you’re such a joy to watch xx

hahaha man THAT is actually the reality of flats in London!! I love that you always keep it real! A lot of people expect to find refurbished and spotless apartments at an affordable price in the city but GUESS WHAT it doesn't work like that 😂 when I moved to my flat in zone 3 I spent 3 weeks non stop cleaning and throwing stuff from the previous tenants away 🥲 guys, don't set your expectations based on a bunch of "apartment tours" which in my opinion are rather unrealistic and unaffordable for regular people like us and the 90% of this world 😅

Hey Taz! Just to let you know, you can ask the landlord to remove items that you do not want in the house. Usually they are more than happy to remove them or to dispose of them completely. Congrats on the new house!

Something I learned the hard way is that you should always make people remove all their stuff before you move in (unless you want it of course :)
I spent soooo much money getting rid of 10 years worth of other people’s junk when I moved out of my rental and ended the lease.

You can ask your landlord to replace the mattress! Also if on your inventory there were items left behind by the previous tenant ask for them to be removed.
Congrats, taz!!! You should look up how to redo caulking near the sink, it should be pretty easy and give things a nice "refresh"!
