Hiii this is the first video i watched of yours really enjoyed it. Just wanted to let you know you can put the ginger in fridge. It doesn’t go bad, stays fresh n you can use it for longer period of time
I store my onions 🧅 in the bottom of the pantry in a bag now bc I saw where putting them in the fridge causes them to put off a gas that causes other veggies to go bad 🤷🏽♀️ Also, potatoes 🥔 on the shelf!! This is the 1st video I have seen of yours and I am so grateful!! 🥹
I decant but it's not really for aesthetics I see box I think full even when it's not so I always forget to restock, or I see box and my brain doesn't think "oh I should make pasta" it just thinks "man I have a lot of boxes but nothing to eat WHAT EAT?!". Its especially bad in the fridge I have to have clear Tupperware or jars because I see box...I see box and whatevers in container inevitably goes bad
Hey when storing that many pastas I would be careful with wevels because they get into things like rice and pasta ect. So I would recommend buying them in bags or put bay leaves to repel them! That’s honestly the only reason why I would switch the packaging❤
I use my canning jars for open pasta, rice etc as most of the brands I buy are bags which are not easily stored once open but I don't decant just for the sake of it.
In India 🇮🇳, we do keep onions, potatoes and garlics separately in shelves or containers outside the refrigerator, but gingers are kept mostly in the refrigerator.
I like that fact that you’re not a snob with certain brands and you buy a lot of Great Value items from Walmart. They are great products with literally great value! Because of this I’ll be a new subscriber 🥰. Most people are snobs and pretentious, I like that you’re realistic and you really seem like a nice person. For a while now, I’ve been thinking and trying to come up with a solution to organize my small panty. I live in an apartment and I have the deep cabinets and I’m petite so it’s challenging at times to get things out even when all my stuff is organized and stacked neat without any bins, containers, and dividers. I’ve thought about installing the pull out drawer but I’m not sure if Im willing to do all that extra work and that’s why I’m gonna have to rely on bins and layering. If you have suggestions for organizing deep cabinets, please help!
This is so interesting for you to notice! Honestly I’m so not a brand snob 😅 like pasta js PASTA! Haha In terms of your deep pantry I’d suggest any type of pull out bins kinda like the one I put under the kitchen sink! We used to have a super small narrow fridge and I put pull out acrylic containers which helped sooo much in storing all the way to the back of the fridge but still having easy access to it 🤗
I think everyone will agree that this is the kitchen of their dreams, it is definitely the kitchen of my dreams!! so satisfying to see everything organized!!! 🥹 organization queens 👑❣
I love organizing, you just feel so much better after organizing and feel weight lifted off your shoulders. You did such a wonderful job organizing you drawers, pantry, ect. We store our onions in the fridge, and the potatoes in the pantry. Organization Queens!
This video calmed me so much! I absolutely love watching people organize! You did such an amazing job! Can't wait to see the rest of the house come together!
hi haley! the reason why you’re supposed to store onions and potatoes separately is bc the onions give off a chemical that causes potatoes to spoil faster. i’ve stored them together in my cupboard and haven’t had much a problem, but putting them on different shelves would probably stop the chemical
So many good ideas! And girl nobody is going to judge the snack cabinet. We all have our guilty pleasures and it's YOUR life do you. Thanks for the inspo
YES to not decanting everything under the sun! Call me a lazy organizer, but when that box of whatever is empty, I’m happy to toss it & replace it with a new one! Yes, some things are easier decanted, but not everything! I basically organize like a grocery store, with like items together, neatly arranged on my pantry shelves. Your cupboards seem to have some extra vertical space, with the pegs to adjust height. I wonder if you could purchase additional pullouts? I LOVE pullouts, too! I’m short, so they make everything so much more accessible, especially the backs of deep shelves! 😊❤
My advice, when moving/unpacking, organize as you unpack. I know that's easier said then done. I was active duty AF for 10 years, we moved NINE times in those 10 years. I learned so many tricks from each move. Some of those moves I was able to purge as I packed. If you know anything about military moves, you don't always have the time to go through stuff before packing but if you can I highly recommend it. Love how you tackled one space at a time. Looks great!
Organization Queens. After watching your Organization videos I have started taking some of your ideas and using them at home which has made it so much nicer.
I love that you kept mostly everything in its original packaging. Who has time to decant everything?! Then whatever doesn’t fit in the jar you have to store elsewhere.
Beautiful kitchen, in have 4 kids and a really small home, so organizing everything the way I want is impossible, so watching you make my life feel sad, but I am happy for you. Best wishes.
I'm from Portugal and here we use to put the onions, potatoes, garlic, ginger and other stuff in a dry place, with little light... When are small quantities, I do like you did!😊❤ But when my father (he've a little farm and produce his vegetables and fruits) put everything in a dry and dark garage... Even to prevent the potatoes from continuing to produce sprouts (photosynthesis!)😊 Kisses and of course, I LOOOOVE your channel ❤❤❤
We think so much alike when it comes to the containers!! I totally get you 😂 any who by far one of my fave videos so therapeutic!! Have an amazing finishing of week ladies ❤
I’m in the middle of moving into a new apartment and this gave me the right amount of calmness in the chaos. This was so practical and enjoyable to watch 🫶🥲
Im from Malaysia. for working mom mostly they peel the onion/garlic, put in storage box with kitchen towel or tissue inside and store in fridge. second way, they peel the onion/garlic/ginger and blend with some cooking oil and put in storage jar with label (onion/garlic/ginger). just scoop the onion if you want to cook.
Hi! Your video is great it looks so lovely! Just a quick thought about the dishwasher tablets being easily accessible for your children, ik sometimes kids think they are sweets so maybe something to consider :))
8:04 i use these plastic containers too! i mostly keep like flour, rice, sugar and salt but sometimes when there is leftover pasta that wasn’t cooked we put it there too
Organization queens!! I’m from Malawi( Africa) and I grew up up storing potatoes, onions, garlic & ginger together I’m a basket under low light or dark as you’ve mentioned
oh my gosh your kids are adorable! That little "Thank you" melted my heart! It is just the two of us so we put our potatoes & onions in the fridge as they last longer. If we leave them out, they go bad really quick here in the warmer months. (Canada)
I am from the UK and i store onions and potatoes separate in a dry dark cupboard. I am lazy with garlic and ginger, I buy the ready made tubes that I store in the fridge 😊
I keep my potatoes in a gallon glass jar with a lid in my pantry, which when the doors are closed , is a cool, dry dark place… the onions I will keep in a separate bin, but usually when I get the onions, I dice up the whole bag and put them in a gallon ziplock bag in my freezer… then just take out a couple handfuls when I’m cooking!
I only decant things (mainly rice and some other grains) once they are open bc I've had little bugs in there before. So I keep a couple of those airtight containers to store opened items until they get used out. Good job with the organization. I have also been organizing my kitchen this week.
Hello Haley! I found ur channel and honestly felt refreshing to see someone organise in a way that felt realistic and reliable to give inspiration for my own kitchen haha! On how onions and potatoes are stored the way I was taught was to place them into storage boxes! Preferably ones with holes on the bottom sides. The ones I own have the names of the produce already onto the box which is made on metal. I hope this makes sense 😅 Enjoy your new organised kitchen lovely!
YES to keeping the pasta in their boxes!!! They do have different cook times! Also, I do the same for my rice, directions on the container 💓 Love all of your organization!!!! 🩷
It looks so great!! One thing that concerned me a little bit is all the chemicals under the sink, as that is a spot that is easily reachable by children and often they don''t know the difference between a brightly coloured drink and brightly coloured chemicals! I would recommend either putting them up in a higher cabinet or getting some sort of latch so that its less easily accessed!
In Australia I have a wooden drawer set. Potatoes not in plastic bags but loose on paper towel in the bottom onions and garlic loose on paper towels in middle and special diet snacks in top compartment. It’s on wheels and keeps things cool and dark. If these things get moisture they go bad quickly.
Organization, queens! We are going through a remodel right now and installing all new flooring, so I’m having to basically move out of my house and then move back in. This video has been very helpful for my kitchen aspect of it. I look forward to more videos of yours in the future,❤ from a new viewer in Spokane, WA.
Organization Queens! 💕 I definitely recommend getting a lazy Susan for syrups , it would make it so much easier to use and be very functional. There’s also some really cute wood ones that would fit with your home aesthetic🥰
Hi Haley!! I'm Italian in Boston and I've always stored onions by themselves in the fridge. this is because they go in the fridge anyways after being cut, so i just keep them in there all the time lol. My mom also taught me that they absorb the smells of other foods, like the ginger. so separating them is just what I've stuck with I guess hahaha. potatoes I keep in the pantry in a dark corner! Love your beautiful kitchen. You are so blessed with this and a gorgeous family. Thank you for sharing!!
I use a lazy susan beside my coffee pot to hold my coffee flavorings. I put them in pump bottles of the same size with plain labels. My kitchen is tiny, so my coffee is in a large see-through glass container with an airtight seal on the same carousel, along with sugar and sugar substitutes for guests. Organization Queensland. We refrigerate our onions and potatoes in the refrigerator. Ginger too. We have to with the humidity we have the majority of the year here. Great job on organizing Haley!!!! It’s so calming to see everything organized. ❤

Im from a german-spanish household and we put the potatoes in a separate container but the onions, garlic and ginger are together. But we do pit them outside the fridge
You ARE a organizing queen, Haley!!! I went through something similar to this with my closet not too long ago while I was decluttering because there were some big extra speakers that my dad and stepmom used at their old house and in this house ever since I moved in, they have been kept in my closet for a year because they didn't know what to do with them and now they are FINALLY out of my closet and I couldn't be happier because now I have more room in there. Organizing vids are so therapeutic, right?! 👍
I’m a professional organiser , and I have to admit that you did a great job with the organisation of your pantry and the snack section . I loved the fact you keep the system which is more useful for you , and not what it’s more beautiful to see . Well done !!! Kisses from GREECE 🇬🇷❤️
Love everything that you have picked for your organization. I absolutely love the drawers. I am originally from Los Angeles, California, but now I live in Texas. We have always kept our root vegetables, onions and garlic just as you are storing yours. In a dark, dry place. The only thing I would suggest is to remove yours out of the plastic. They tend to go back quicker in the plastic because it causes them to sweat. I use butcher paper or brown paper towels to place under them. Thank you very much for taking us on this journey with you. 🙂
I just got a recommendation of your video, and I am obsessed. You seem like a really nice, down to earth person. Love the vibes. Immediately subscribing. Organizational Queens! In Pakistan, we keep potatoes and onions in dark, separately, but ginger and garlic in fridge!
Loved you sharing your thoughts instead of going with the flow. 😅 I decant from packaging to air tight containers because some foods don’t stay fresh in their packaging. I only have me to cook for now so 😩. But I don’t decant everything lol depends what it is and how fast I can eat it. Thanks for sharing your ideas in organization. I just moved into a studio and needed this ❤
I live in NJ, so four seasons and each one had a mind of its own. If I had drawers, I’d store them exactly as you do. I have shelves in my laundry room that act as my pantry, and potatoes and onions are stored in separate baskets, loosely covered and dark. And I am not hating on your snack cabinet. I am about to turn my smallest closet into the same type of thing. I try to keep like things together but snacks outgrew their spot so we need to grow with it. You did an amazing job. I’m new to your channel and I’m hooked!! ❤ We are ORGANIZING QUEENS!!!!
In Lithuania we generally like to store potatoes in a cool, dry and dark place, usually the basement, sometimes in a pantry or cupboard. Same with garlic and onions.
Y’all this house has been unpacked for TOO long 😅 I hope this vlog motivates you to clean up some spaces in your home bc my brain is LOVING THIS 😍😍

We are ORGANIZING QUEENS!!!!
taking notes for my future house because I LOVE bamboo containers!❤
In Lithuania we generally like to store potatoes in a cool, dry and dark place, usually the basement, sometimes in a pantry or cupboard. Same with garlic and onions.
