My point exactly. People expect these CVTS to last forever. Taking good care of them for over 200k+ Miles is actually really good. They're good cars as long as you stay on top of maintenance you'll be good.
At 232,000 miles it’s likley like every other transmission tbh that’s good life smh if u have a car and can’t get another one by then or save for another transmission it’s crazy
I just need to know what the symptoms are so I can know if this is the problem with my car, 09’ maxima- 194,000 miles. My car starts shutting off and then driving weird
Nothing i stopped at the light and never lift it.. tranny was pulled and metal was in The oil. Looked around for a used one and it was 1200-1800 for a 50/50 gamble.. Read the codes the cheap scanner can't read tranny codes.. asked the misses and she said it never powered off on her we the first owner all our miles and I service the it two month before this happen.. there horrors story's about these CVT transmission common problem is they brake . And they cost more the the old one one new.. and after learning who the maker get holy water and pray to the car God.. Nissan have so much problem with these CVT. So get it looked at and make sure it the tranny and not so trying else . This car never went into limp mode. All fine and dead at the light with family in car..
Why people have so much problems with there cvt transmission in there maximas I have 2 one the transmission has never been serviced has 205k on it and never once had a problem with neither one.problem isn't the transmission it's the people driving them is the problem.
Im shocked its lasted that long without a service. You are partially right, you can run these cars hard but that comes with more frequent maintenance so it lasts.
For this depends on the year make and model of that CVT and who the maker of that CVT is I have saved some CVT transmission that dealers said it was unsavable and the customers are still riding around and there are other CVT transmission that we can't save and we say change it and it's due to the maker of the CVT transmission that is garbage to begin with. Have you done your fluid change on your CVC transmission every 30 to 50,000 miles this is part of preventive maintenance on CVT transmission and it doesn't matter who the maker is. If you don't do preventive maintenance on your transmission that transmission is going to leave you to the side you will have to replace it and it's an expensive job transmission alone can run you anywhere from about 1500 till about 3500 for used transmission so think about one that's rebuilt on you the price of a CVT transmission and depending on the make and model of that vehicle you going to get raped.. this has been my experience as a technician for all CVT transmission for all make and models.. if they're telling you your CVC transmission is on its way out and no service has been done do a recording of what that transmission is doing and maybe just maybe I can help you but I need to know the make and model of that vehicle and if you have the transmission number I can take a good look schematics looks we're not talking about internal look when I'm looking at the internal problems that these transmission suffer from and I will tell you green light service set and maybe get another year or two out of the transmission before you have to replace it or get rid of it and I'm talking about the whole entire car Fords they just continue their CVT transmission from 2005 to 2006 for the Ford freestyles because they had junk transmission Nissan is having the same problems with the jetco CVT transmission and if you have a jebco transmission inside that vehicle replace it. You're better off saving the money on the transmission and labor of what is going to cost to take it out depending on the model you may have to take out the transmission for my top and again depending on the model you may have to take the transmission out from the bottom and you have to remove a lot of the subframe just to remove the transmission and that alone will bring the cost up if you know way up $150 an hour you're looking at probably 7 to 10 hours to remove the transmission and this all depends you know on how it has to come out depending on the year make and model of that vehicle is going to cost you either which Way CVT transmission they're going to cost you you already see the price for used transmission of what it's going to cost you and the guarantee of that working is 50/50 and you're gambling make sure that the transmission needs to be serviced I will start with the cheapest thing service your transmission give me the mileage that your transmission has because if it's well over 120,000 miles and you never service that transmission that transmission is now drunk and it's due to the screen that's our inside these transmission that gets clogged up and they cause the pump to fail of the belt breaks or some fastener wasn't tighten down properly and this is why a lot of these transmission have a lot of recall make sure that your transmission is not one of those that are in the recall list and if it is immediately have the dealer recall your transmission due to the problem that your transmission is having but most likely you well beyond the service warranty mileage or date this is why they give you you know like 5 years you know warranty from the dealer with you know x amount of mileage on it whatever comes first this is why I encourage and want a lot of people to stay away from a lot of these new cars with CVT transmission because you see me t transmission will never make it to 100,000 or more without being serviced as soon as you hit that hundred and twenty to 150,000 Mark your transmission is toast inside and I mean garbage.
Why in the pluperfect hallelujah don't you turn your camera 90 degrees; so we can see the full video on our monitors? To allow 100% HDTV 16/9 aspect ratio feature. Rather than only a 33 percent of the screen. OH well. CYA. For I will not watch those ridiculous, skinny pictures. Others will disagree I'm sure. To each his own.
@Anthony Falcon lol I have 205k on one never been serviced and never had a problem.problem is the idiots driving them it's not the cvt transmission.i own many maximas and never once had a problem with any of them.people bet on them then want to blame the car.
I had a 2014 nissian maxima with 108k the cvt failed badly. I also had torque converter problems. I was able to trade it in for a mazda 3. Alot more reliable. Stay away from a used nissian
What do you expect bro 😎 running forever without maintenance ? Cars needs maintenance and and possibly you haven't even changed the oil and that's how you want it to keep running. 232 thousand miles come on . Nissan Maxima are good cars 🚗
Yes it need to be done ever 30k for any CVT transmissions. And yes i like Maxima it a z with 4 door.. but there CVT is trash. But if you heard what i said about it 8s why this car out. CVT transmissions from this company that not Nissan is why they tranny crap.. luck of the draw. As a tach this what i do most and not only with Maxima but there other line also.. this why every 30k it should be done on any tranny.. but this one was crap that Nissan made there other things that go wrong with it only with this line batch. Because we checked why. It other video that on other channels and i haven't uploaded it to this channel this a d.i.y. and the other is. Everything i do with planes boat Simi cars bikes.
Yep I agree with you anything 2005 and newer won't even make it up to 200,000 I seen all these Nissans with the CVT transmission usually give up between 60 and 120,000 miles the engine is kind of bulletproof a little bit but it's been baby down but we can suck these things off and make demon Killers out of these.. this is why we nicknamed it Godzilla..
It also has over 200k miles on it.
