  • If you have a G-Shock you need to try a Combi Bracelet. it will change your world.
    I believe this is the "clone" Combi Bracelet in the video. I bought it second hand and I am not 100% sure where he got it from.

    On the aftermarket bracelet, once you figure out your sizing, you could put a tiny amount of super glue on the side of the thick portion of the split pin and then push it in. That should keep the pins from backing out.

    Hi Kevin Just got around to getting a Gen 1 combi. fitting onto my 5610 wasn't as difficult as as I thought is was going to be for anyone who gets one don't rush take your time, remove the bezel and use 16mmx1.8mm spring bars NOT the spring bars from the standard strap which are 16mm x2.00mm when finished you'll be really pleased ,good luck...stay safe

    The cross-bar link system in the aftermarket bracelet is what one commonly sees in regular steel or titanium bracelets. If done well it should be a good system.

    • @WrongTimeWatch
      @WrongTimeWatch  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am worried about retention of the pin in the plastic links.

    • @-----REDACTED-----
      @-----REDACTED----- 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WrongTimeWatch
      Yeah that _could_ possibly be an issue…
      Maybe after fitting secure the friction part of the pin with a film of glue…but be careful that a) the links remain moveable rather than glued shut, and b) the polymer(s) used in the bracelet are actually glueable. Some polymer types such as nylon or PP are infamously hard to glue and must be instead bonded. Add to that the issue that you are attempting to glue two different materials (polymer and metal)…
      But honestly I don’t see them failing too soon. It does require some force to push them out, right? If you don’t constantly push the pins in and out the channels shouldn’t wear out (too quickly) anyways…

    • @WrongTimeWatch
      @WrongTimeWatch  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it should be OK. The pins did push out pretty easy, but no forces should be acting on them when in use.
