You're not the only one to ask... maybe I have to do it just to show how it goes... personally I feel the spring pin will fail, but not the resin, this is way too tough!
Interesting You went all the way to the cheap watch but refusing cheap strap??? I have 2 watches on those straps, I went to Bahamas vacation with them, skimmed in the ocean, played tennis and nothing happened. Oh, and why you did not crash the expensive strap to show us the difference?,
I have 6 G shocks that cost me less than £80 each second hand, It doesn't make sense for me to spend over £100 on an official Casio combi, when I can get copy's off of eBay or Ali for around £10-£15. Ok they feel cheap, but they are cheap!!
I agree the original bracelet is expensive, but you have to look at the bigger picture.... if you have a nice big house with lovely tall windows and the garden is overgrown and uncared for, then it makes the house unseen, what I'm saying is that the straps/bracelets make a huge percentage of the watch, and if you want artificial grass in your garden for an example then that's ok, but you can't beat the real thing, but that real grass does come with a cost... over the years that artificial grass will fade and fall flat, while real grass can be maintained to always look great. Maybe that was a little long for explaining, but everyone has a choice, and I wanted to try the artificial grass and it wasn't for me as I care too much for my house. If you're patient you can find used original bracelets, there's also other options with adaptors so you can fit normal straps or Nato's. I've recently did a mod on my GLX-5600 using the metal bezel and bracelet kit that was around £65, and what a huge difference that has made :) But I do agree, the original resin bracelet is the price of another G-Shock!

So many showing in my feed, that I bought one, and I'm glad I did, even if it was to save you guys from the hassle... cheap plastics don't pay that's for sure!
Well I'm sure we know it'll also break, but it would be with a little more force along with some grunts. The bracelet on the original will more likely split at the spring pins, but can't see it actually breaking the resin... it needs a weak point so you don't lose your arm if you got your watch jammed. Usually the clasp or buckle uses spring pins, while the leg end is with bolts with regards to bigger G-Shocks. But this cheap bracelet just looked bad from go, and I didn't mess around saying it's crap... but wasn't expecting it to break so easily, I really had no effort behind it, the fold over clasp had a little more resistance, but still easy to bend... feel the original would hold up a good fight... hope it saved you from buying this junk :))
I appreciate the review but I think you're being a little unfair to a cheap alternative to the ridiculously priced Casio original. You're comparing the fake to the bracelet from the GW-B5600HR whereas the fake is a copy of the bracelet that came with the GW-M5610BC which had textured (like a nail file you say) outer links and metal (all black) inner links. So, one of your criticisms of the fake is null and void because originally that is what Casio did as well - only better but for more $$$. The fakes are selling for as little as £9 compared to no cheaper than £65 for a new Casio bracelet - that's a 7x price difference. Finding a used Casio bracelet on ebay etc is like searching for rocking horse shit and if you find one the seller usually wants more for the bracelet alone than it originally cost to buy with a watch attached! - maybe a little exaggeration but you get my point. Your twist test was good entertainment but means little in the real world, the Casio bracelet would not have faired much better. If you want a watch band that will stand up to unlikely torque forces buy a leather strap. The fake will stand up to the trials and tribulations of normal use every bit as well as any of the Casio versions and from arms length it will look every bit as good. As for wearing the fake bracelet, comfort-wise it being light could be considered as a positive. IMO for £9 I think it's a viable alternative to Casio's offering.
Hey buddy... The original bracelet is expensive, thus why I thought this would be a nice idea... now, if using your G-Shocks lightly, then this bracelet will be good, but anything tough or with vibrations, I feel this bracelet is going to fail... but the original bracelet is resin plastic, while this one is just plastic. But you are right, the original does have a price, but maybe look at it this way, it does make over half of the watch... now, is these some decent leather straps for these Tonka toys???

That'll be fine, it's strong enough for desk duties...
