Re: Warp Travel / Blockades: The reason blockades are effective, is because warp LANES must be charted for a ship to safely travel from one place to another. Rogue Trader actually does a really good job of showing this. Most ships travel these warp lanes from one planet to another, thereby making blockades reasonably workable. One of the reasons the Cicatrix Maledictum was so devastating: warp storms trash your warp lanes, and they must be re-traced through the immaterium to provide a safe route for craft.
And brother remundo struck a mighty blow down upon the fried corn carapace and the creature screamed as a torrent if molten spicy jalapeno cheder icor burst from it's gaping wound. "Our brothers and guardsmen will eat well from this battle."
Every time the orcs show up things just go to hell. Because all the other forces were already present but with the orcs around they then start to go loud about it.
I am forever disappointed that they didn’t kill Calgar here. It would have had been much more impactful. The Ultramarines get their Primarch back, but lose their chapter master to the Warmaster. Later (temporarily) losing Sicarius. Like how Calgar very nearly died fighting the Swarmlord centuries ago, one on oned an Avatar of Khaine, retaking Damnos despite blowing of helping fight a Black Crusade because of quote-on-quote “a lack of troops”, Tau Sphere’s of Expansion, Ork WAAAGHs, and many more victories for the Imperium, Calgar leads the fight against the Warmaster of Chaos. But due to Chaos being on a roll following Cadia’s fall, actual natural aging, and Abbadon being both juiced by Chaos and unaged since the Horus Heresy, and other factors, Calgar fails to win. But this time, it costs him his life. Maybe when he’s struck down, Abbadon, to Calgar’s surprise and disbelief, Abbadon honors and respects him like with Sigismund 10,000 years ago. And in his last moments Guilliman comes in, forcing Abbadon to flee, and looks down to his son and tells him to not to be fearful or worry. He has served the chapter and Imperium long enough and he needs not let the burden, weight, or stress his position carries. Those he leaves behind will be capable to carrying on without him, they will endure. Guilliman won’t let otherwise happen, and he is proud of him. And with that Calgar feels a sense of relief, as if an unbearable weight had been lifted off his being for the first time in as long as he can remember. And then his life fades from his eyes and he dies. GW also could still keep him around in game despite being dead in lore. They’ve done it before, especially over in Fantasy Battle. Reponse, Grom the Paunch, Vlad, Isabella, and especially Conrad von Carstien, where all dead during most of “Modern” Fantasy, but their minis could still be played on tabletop. Macharius in 40k was also a similar situation for a while. He was long dead by modern 40k, but his model was playable and compatible with modern models and rules for many years before discontinuing his model. Calgar could have been the same for a while until GW figure out a replacement, assuming they did have Guilliman become Chapter Master.
Hell, Captain Tycho of the Blood Angels had been dead for like, 25-30 real life years, and is only just now (probably) being removed from the game with the coming codex supplement.

So small "Uhmmm Actually" that's more due to taking a little off the Ultramarines laurels. The Ultramans weren't the first Astartes to heed the call. It was the Iron Hands and a couple of their successors. In fact, the Ultramarines were like the last Space Mans to show up to the conflict at all. Small thing but figured at least DK would get a kick out of that.
I would say that one other imperial ship that is at the same level or is above the Vengeful spirit is the Speranza. A ark mechanicus ship so large it has the production power of a forgeworld and if one threatens/begs the a.i enough will release its dark age of technology weaponry, let alone the massive firepower of a ark mechanicus
To be fair, the ship was made by the humans (not the Imperium technically I think if it's DAOT although it may certainly have been retrofitted by 30k Imperium) but it certainly doesn't consider itself an imperial ship. Otherwise, the Emperor's flagship would have been around the right tier but was destroyed providing a distraction for the Dark Angels to arrive in the Siege of Terra. Beyond that, I believe the Vengeful Spirit was Gloriana class before it got warp supercharged (the ship eats Custodes, enough said) so other ships of that class might at least be noticeable to the Vengeful Spirit although there aren't a lot of them. (Probably not winning though, considering The Eternal Crusader didn't manage it in the first Black Crusade.)

Good vid thought interesting.
Talking about going left and right around the Cicatrix Maledictum, but ... what about over, or under? Is there a reason we're ignoring the fact that space is 3d?
Probably for the same reason why going right and left are difficult. The galactic halo is very large, and unlike the galactic disk, it is much less dense, meaning there will be much less systems to waypoint your path. The best analogy I can think of is, since the Panama canal is currently infested with demons, you can go from east to west coast by circumventing all of the Americas, making stops along the coast, which is a long path. You can also go through the Atlantic, Indic, and Pacific oceans in a more streamline, which is equally long and has much less stops along the way. Good luck.

And THAN you have something from big league like: Speranza (DAoT continent size ark mechanicus with the most OP causality and blackhole canon in lore currently), Phalanx (no comment, a jewelry in the Imperiums crown), 2 DAoT ships that Lion lost during Rangda, 2 (actually 3, but the original was destroyed) sister ships of Furious Abyss, and the Emperor personal toys like Bucephelus (first flagship) and Imperator Somnium (second flagship that is like 60+ km with WHOLE decks of DAoT archeotech and OP stuff). Vengeful spirit and any Gloriana can't 1v1 against any of this ships. If not the plot armor all of this ships could be destroyed by overwhelming forces or wise strategy.
Will SOMEONE tell me what the hell 'goatsy' is?!
The crown is just a damn Stargate.
Question can we get a chaos version of the desk mat? Would pay for it.
Ooh yay time for Horus Rising
Best ending so far XD
The Goatse Campaign
The new Blood Angel models look awful compared to the old ones.
I know it'll never happen, but i wonder how this would have gone if they had arrived on the Terminus Est instead of the Vengeful Spirit?
I'm just waiting for DK to say "Slaanesh" instead of "Slayash" when talking about the Patreon
That "crown" looks like a StarGate.
Nice ending.
we will ever get a war of the beast episode?
In what other episode is “Harry” mentioned?
Sometimes I don't get the quote when I _know_ the topic 😂
Nachmund is Aftertaste in German.
Thanks
*Nachgeschmack
OR
*after-mouth
Not really (literal meaning would be „after mouth“, aftertaste is „Nachgeschmack“).
Perfect ending .
Did anyone else see the green -10 at 50:54-57?
I would like to point out that the idea that the ice miners being overworked sounds aweful because you are so accustomed to the modern global trade system, where if something arrives a day late its considered a failure, that you can not comprehend that without that labor, but the truth is people will die because hell decided to eat three shipments of Daisani while sending the other 12 to basically customers for two thousand years.
Its not good, but necessary.
the noctilith crown is just a Stargate from Stargate lol
If DK was an anime character he’d be Usopp
Kill him? He would have made a perfect servitor.
Horus: Cucked
Eye of Terror: Goatse'd
Cadia: Buck Broken
Abbadon sweep
Shy if you needed that many shots you really need moar dakka
