played the 1st mvt of this ~6 yrs ago (at a much much slower tempo lmao) - how the time flies really nice to hear that movement in the context of the rest of the concerto
That transition at 15:54 is so random and unexpected You just have this entire dramatic march theme end in B-flat minor and then you somehow just get the main theme of the 3rd movement back without any transition whatsoever
Is it just me or does a lot of the 2nd movement feel very similar to Dvorak's humoresque? Obviously not exactly the same or anything, but makes me think of it a lot at least.
You probably won't be able to have free access to the score, as it is still under copyright laws (since it was composed in 1952). But the sheet music is available for purchase on amazon
@@UniversalDirp yeah I checked, but it has still copyright as the other comment says so it is only available for purchase. Luckily my maestro had it so problem solved ahah
Can I just say that the orchestra lines up with the solo piano part SO WELL
frrr
Actually tho!!!!😂😊
I played the first movement in school, teacher played the orchestral part. Such a joy!
I also am playing this piece, it is truly a wonderful piece tho
Hey im thinking of trying to learn this piece for a soloist contest (11th grade) what do you guys think? Is it suitable for 11th grade?
I’m in 3 grade
I played it in my primary school. Its so useful for me to at seven to then work on bigger pieces like busoni concerto etc

Kabalevsky, a beginner's best friend
Quite an impressive and underrated piece of work
The best performance for this concerto

Get this concerto into the repetoire right away.
True😊
Like so much of this composer's music there is a sunny cast to much of what he composes.
The melody from 9:01 in the second movement is Kabalevsky’s song called “The Homeland” («Край родной, навек любимый»)
i knew this was going to be insane but jesus… this is amazing
Very cool little concerto, amazing
you are looking for 17:16
Sunny is a great adjective for this
Incredible! What a piece wow!
WOW😀😀😀😀😀
Un concerto très original , un compositeur inventif ... L'ensemble est vraiment plaisant .
The main theme in the 1st movement reminds me of Mozart.
Thanks for the score video. Such an interesting style, loved the climax.
9:00 that’s beautiful
If u is reading this soupy, I still remember when this piece only had 1k views
dang, that was quite some time ago
@@SoupyMoldyup😂😊
I F 2 of his Piano Sonatas were so interesting for Horowitz to play in recitals....I am not surprised how attractive thus unpretentious Concrrto is 😅
The second movement is from heaven
One of most precious videos o fyour Chanel!
Also congrats on 1k soupymold! =)
The piano in the first movement sounds like easy Rachmaninoff :D 0:44 - 0:53
yup strong rach vibes here for sure
Currently learning this piece! It's not too bad except when you get to the first part of the Candenza lol! Thanks for the video!
Great concerto
beautiful concerto !!
unfortunately the only good recording on youtube with modern standards of sound quality
Tremendo compositor...

... yeah, sounds like he didnt care/ was bored to make a transition there. Felt so rushed and kinda bad. Welp, whatever.
I'm also playing the first movement for festival and recital
Cadenza is very reminiscent of Liszt's 15th Hungarian Rhapsody
great piece
Гениальный концерт

Would be great to learn this, regardless of age
This is a concerto intended for children but this a performance of a very professional pianist so I don't think it is a model for children.
I’m learning this. I’m a sixth grader and it’s pretty hard
Thanks :)
Nice.
Wow
im in 8th grade playing this, beautiful
I’m in 3 grade playing this ❤🎉

7:06 Dvorak Humoresque
I learnt the whole song already! It was actually kind of easy. I'm 9 yrs old
No way. When I was 14, I only played the first movement.
😊
Doeas anyone have the score for this? or knows somewhere i can download it from?
