Just hearing about CPU mining, and you were the suggested person to come watch. I'm running a 5800X3D as well a normal 5800X in my other PC. Been thinking about upgrading the 5800X to a 5900X for other reasons, but for now, how do you think the R7 series would do for getting into CPU mining with what I currently run? I only am on them for 5-6 hours out of the day, so even if they could just pay for themselves over time, I think that would be cool. lol
They are cheap and more efficent but I do like the 12 and 16 core ryzens better depending on location the 7000 swries is not much extra and larger performance gains.
Thank you @@RabidMining, just purchased a 5950X last night since it was on sale for $360. I had been thinking about upgrading the 5800X anyways as I said, as I run servers for my buddies and I. So 5950X with 64GB should serve us well, and do decent at mining when we're not using it. Maybe pay for itself in a year or so from the numbers I was looking at.
The 7900X mobo combos, and be all in with ram, M.2, and PSU for around $900 is tempting though.
Cpu mining did very well in 2023 and I’m sure 2024 will be the same or better

@RabidMining Hey man, what do you think of using the fans that come with new AMD CPU’s? I see in many of your video’s it looks like you use different brands on some builds. Just wanted to hear your thoughts on the oem fans that come with cpus.
Only the 3000 series comes with coolers they work good.

I would add to your speculation a small issue you left out, which would be as the price of zeph would go up, so would the network hashrate. The rewards would be miniscule by the time it hits 400$

@andrewjones198 hard to tell as new miners come in not sure how many that could be.
@RabidMining I would just use previous price graph overplayed with a network hashrate graph. Use a little calculus and poof, if historybrepats itself, you'd have a very accurate portrayal of the yields.
So if I have an Intel Xeon Gold 6154 dual CPU on 1 Node and have 4 Nodes total, would this be a decent cpu to run?

3900x and 5900x are pretty close to the same 12.5kh to 13kh is average depending on RAM
Y have 5900x(undervolt 1.175 and 4,4 mhz), 16gb ram 3200mhz duall chanel on nicehash, y get 14000 h/s.

Im more of a xmr believer, maybe zeph will reach 500$, but I do see xmr reaching 15,000$ too. As xmr is the real bitcoin and maybe zeph the eth kinda. I like how its less accessible than gpu mining so normies rush big time learning how to oc through bios / setting up rig and scaling solution that require more network knowledge lol, going to be profitable more longer than gpu mining imo

They are cheap for sure and good way to start hashing, but probably bad idea to scale a farm base on a 4 year old cpu. I'll go for 7000 series if its for anything more than 1 rig or so

The bullrun you are talking about was another period. XMR is now being banned for being a privacy coin. Just a few exchanges hold XMR. Zeph is also a privacy coin. Would it not need more exchanges to be able to boom like you hope it will?
Not banned just delisted from binance for regulations but that isn't the top exchange for XMR so doesn't matter.
They will be listed again when Trump wins the election and corrects all Bidens crooked anti crypto laws... privacy coins are the point of crypto

Cpu needs a motherboard ram psu . Only one cpu per rig, but u can have many GPUs in one rig.

My I9 12900K is giving me a hash rate of 5500h 😮 compared to my rtx2080 which only gives me 20.00 😂
And its liquid cooled and does not go higher than 53 degrees C
