Just found your channel and am glad I did. You are not only a master of your craft, but also a great teacher. Your calm demeanor and the ease of which you explain things make is so easy to follow your instructions. Also love your sense of humor.(One of keys to a long life). I am really enjoying watching all your videos. I am hoping there is one on replacing sagging headliners. I own a black on black 1982 Lincoln Continental Mark VI with only 23,000 original miles and is in exquisite, showroom condition, except for the sagging headliner and visors.I would like to do it myself. I love refurbishing things and my family and friends are amazed at my patience and attention to detail.I always say its easy to do when you love what your doing. I'm a little intimidated about removing the headliner and getting it out of the vehicle with it having limited room being a 2 door car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hello Wade, Do you mean mechanically or maintenance of the top material? For top material, that would be a very short video. The secret is to keep it out of the weather and away from sun light. It will last forever!

Hello Dan, Thank you so much! GM Scissor tops from 1971 to 1976 are a whole different animal. As you may know, the whole top frame separates from the car. I was doing those cars when they weren't that old. Please keep liking and watching!
Great job and it looks great. I wish you had a video of a 4th generation Camaro showing how to teplace the top. My 2002 camaro needs a new top cause of the back window. Do you know if the same size staples are used on the camaro. I have only come across 1 other video on here showing how replace it but he never says what size staples or pop vivets are used.
Hello BB, Thank you so much for saying so. It's easy to see the size staple by the thickness of the tack strip. Most tack strips up front are thin, therefore, you would use a shorter staple, maybe 5/16" or 3/8". Most rear bows have the thicker tack strip and you can use 1/2" staples. I have done rag tops before. One on a '70 type 1 and several on Corvair I've owned. It's not hard work really, but it sure is tedious and stressful if ya don't do it often. You make it look easy, though! BTW, Richard...what was that thing hanging out the back of your drill? It almost looked like an electrical cord.... LoL😅

Is the material inside of the metal channels that hold the staples made of hard rubber? A complex project successfully completed by a meticulous craftsman. Requires the skill and expertise of a surgeon. As always, your projects are most interesting to watch. Keep posting. Regards, Vince
