I missed tip #98. That must be where you explained why you put the contact cement around the edges before the rest of it. I'll probably never do one, but I enjoyed watching over your shoulder. Beautiful. Yep, yep, yep.

It used popular back in the 80s, at least here in SoCal, to a Phantom Top installed on Mini Trucks and import cars.

Hello Joseph, Funny you should mention that. I was one of the originators for Phantom tops on mini trucks and import cars back in 1984 in Scottsdale Arizona. I also am the originator of auto neon, or now they call it LED underglow. Do you remember HotTops mini truck convertibles? I designed their soft tops. @@josephmartinez8803 The idea was to make it look like a real convertible with top bows and trim. Not just a top that is installed like a vinyl top. At the time, I did not call them Phantom tops, but that name came later, not by me. But that is what it was. You can see some of my cars in the bio link. Please keep liking and watching!

Great job! Glad you got the chance to make it right for the owner. It's obvious that the owner really cares about the Camaro, so I wonder what led him astray?
PSA: It's better to tear off a failed vinyl top when a car will sit exposed to the elements. That vinyl will trap moisture and rust out the sheet metal below! Shame, by '65 Coronet's trunk is rusted through because of the vinyl trunk mat. It can be fixed, but what a hassle.

I always thought that a Landau top meant that the vinyl covers only the C pillars and rearmost portion of the roof panel.
Is the '69 Camaro considered a Landau top because the vinyl does not reach or cover the side drip-rails and A pillars??
