I thought at my advanced age, that I had heard every one of Mozart's extant works performed, but I had never heard this one - nor the other four in this cycle -- composed apparently when the composer was 18! What a revelation, especially rendered with precision, lyricism and delicacy by the amazing Julia Fischer and the London Phil.! Thank you for posting!

True ... i met him at the Nokia Prom Night in London on new years eve. Talked to him at length about a new opera idea of his ... a fun witty fast paced piece about a philosophers untimely death under thecskiding axe during or in the aftermath of some kind of revolutionary scheme in france around .... hm, 1790 or so. But he s working on it.

This fine performance does not match the peerless performance by Chloe Chua.
But Julia is a great violinist of course, one of the very best around, and it seems to me that she would be an excellent teacher.
Chloe has spoken recently of travelling to Austria or Germany to study.
I rather hope she teams up with Julia at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts.
