That intro lol i know that feel, though for me was the swinging cable that you need to grab in order to reach The Shinra Headquarters. Took me many tries to get it right, since i was either "jumping too late" or "jumping too soon"
Great video. I just finished the first Sonic game for the first time and was surprised on how slow the later levels force you to go so slow on a game where the protagonist is supposed to go fast, felt even more weird after the fast paced green hill zone and even more weird to follow it up with Marble Zone. I just started Sonic 2 and thankfully is a huge improvent(thank god for the spin dash). Also, i would love to one day hear your thoughts on Sonic Mania, it was the first sonic game i have ever beaten and it was amazing in my opinion, really fast, fair and a fun challenge and the bosses were incredibly fun and visually stunning and the music is simply outstanding.
I didn't know Yuji Naka was in prison. He really stole that damn fourth chaos emerald with this one.

I still have not been through Sonic Mania from start to finish but I have the soundtrack on all the time
