@@Plexi.TI would love to see an Ifrit boss and nega Mother Wisp bosses in Sonic x Shadow generations. Both are connected to lore that sega refuses to use. Ifrit (sonic rivals 2) can destroy an intirer dimension bathing it in fire (the game comfirms its whole universe, not just a planet). Sonic and Shadow only defeat a heavily weakened ifrit as it isn't fully revived yet (it did eat a bunch of chao and become invincible, though. Plus, he has mind control powers and is just as sentient as chaos even though it wasn't at full power). But they still beat it in base, which is still incredibly impressive. I bring him up because Gerald has notes on ifrit implying Gerald Robotnik somehow got into the dimension that chaosic inferno takes place in. Plus, ifrit seems connected to the chao somehow, and Gerald knows of him, so i hope he is at least in the journal. As for the nega mother wisp, I loved her boss fight. She is a part of the wisps lore (yes, the wisps have lore actually lore, such as the mother wisp creating the wisps and the planets that eggman captured, the ds version of colors going into detail on how negative wisps are made and how it affects their minds, actually giving each wisps their own personalities like Lazer trying to fight the robots and void straight up destroying shit and causing chaos. The mother wisp is kind and motherly but can have a temper. eggman is lucky he got caught in the black hole before she got free. Plus, the wisps actually flow with level design in colors wii and ds. Similar to how the doom powers seem to. Unlike in the lost world or forces. The ds has a better story than the wii version. It has interesting lore, the wisps are fun and the stages are fun. Not to mention, multiple characters have sonic do missions to help free wisps or extra information on what is going on. I have both versions. The wisps are neat and do have lore. I wish sega would actually utilize their lore more). Ifrit and the mother wisp are very interesting and think you should cover them. Plus, the fact that Sonic and Shadow, among other characters, defeated Ifrit in base shows how powerful they are. Also, I think marine the raccoon should return due to her unexplained power, and the complaints about her are already addressed in her character arc and development from sonic rush adventure. Also, phantom king creates the egg revery, which is infinite in space-time, and space and time (yes, there is a difference) in Sonic Mania, and that's just classic super sonic. Also, Chaos drives, artificial chaos, the ark, and G.U.N. are all interesting. I wish sega would use them more, too. Oh, and Emerl and Gemerl should be explored a bit again. Sonic rush, rush adventure, rivals 2, the advance games, sonic battle, and Sonic colors ds deserve more attention. Oh, and sega sonic the hedgehog arcade is awesome.
@@lunakingsley.7247you typed out a lot, but I'm pretty sure the Ifrit didn't get to eat any Chao specifically because of Sonic&Tails releasing the ones Eggman Nega had captured and Silver&Espio keeping the rest safe during their own journey/mission. So it didn't get to become immortal (although in theory if there's records of it becoming immortal from eating Chao already it stands to reason that event already happened and the Ifrit should already be immortal unless that wears off after an undisclosed amount of time and needs to be done again).
I gotta put an honorable mention for Sonic Battle. They wrote Shadow so incredibly well. For some context, the main purpose of this game revolves around Emerl, a Gizzoid robot (which has actually been shown in the new SonicXShadow Generations Animation), which was found by Gerald Robotnik He is said to be the ultimate weapon, who ran out of control when researchers on Space Colony Ark exposed him to a plethora of weapons. Emerl sees this, still rather childish in his worldview, and Shadow explains that this is the true fate of weapons like them, things created for destruction. I'll post the entire exchange between Gamma, Shadow, and Emerl below. I think it speaks for itself: Gamma: Destroy... Destroy... [crackles] Destroy... Destroy... Shadow: Fool... Emerl, do you see? This is the fate for weapons of war. Emerl: ... I don't understand. I'm sad, Shadow... Shadow: I know... Gamma: Destroy... Destroy... Destroy... Destroy... Shadow: Can't move any more... Let's go... Emerl: Gamma... Eventually, they do have Shadow and Emerl go through some character development. But that introspection and sadness Shadow goes through in this game is really shown here as he feels pity and mentors this fellow weapon as best as he can. I highly recommend finding a way to play through Sonic Battle. It's a fantastic playthrough
@FrayTheHunter DAMN, that does sound goated. Reminds me of Sonic X where Cream gets the spotlight and decides to fight emerl as she's the only one capable of foing it. So sad.
@Plexi.T if ya haven't ever gotten the chance an emulator and the game are both pretty easy to find. Gameplay is simple for sure but really fun and the story is fantastic AND apart of the Canon timeline. There are a ton of very well done story beats that I think sonic storytelling can take a note from for sure!!
Honourable mentions for Sonic Colors: *"No Copyright law in the univers is going to stop me"* *"Why don't we make like Eggman's hairline and receed"* 💀
For Generations, I'll go with the mirror scene before the Death Egg Robot. For Lost World, Eggman punching a wall was close but I have to go with the confrontation with Zavok at the start of Sky Road.
My personal pick for frontiers would be the final boss of update 3. Especially the final cutscene where Sonic gets fired out of the cannon And also the music is amazing
In the shadow the hedgehog part you used the Sonic 06 version of all hail shadow. it's surprising how much a remix can change a song, I like the 06 version so much better
36:20 In reality, Infinite has a good reason to become evil at this moment, which is that because of his arrogance, his entire team was killed by Shadow, and then he was humiliated by Shadow as well.
@user-xt3dh5qd5m My problem, though, is that this dude has had like 3 different backstories at this point. Also, Shadow didn't kill his gang. They simply left him after a failure in the comic. But also, he's a robot of Eggman somehow...
It’s kinda funny that the only reason Gamma didn’t come back , was cuase the reviews for sa1 didn’t like gammas gameplay , if they did man gamma would have mainstay , glad he got a proper closure , and I also love and find sad how no one knows what gamma did at the end ,or how he died 😭 eggman or Amy don’t have any clue on what happened to him
I think the difference between tails and eggman is the tails uses technology for good and doesn’t over step his bounds within nature while eggman does. Tails uses technology to help and innovate wile the doctor uses it to conquer, pullet, and oppress
I think you misinterpreted the whole point of the 06 scene you picked. Shadow’s not saying he’ll fight to protect the world Maria loved, he’s saying he’ll fight like he always has because that’s what he does: he fights the adversities of life, fighting for himself (and now he also has friends to fight for as well, given that scene with Rouge saying that even if the world becomes his enemy, she’ll always stay by his side) He surely wasn’t excluding the time he almost destroyed the entire world when he said “always”. I think him saying “always” is pretty indicative of his own personal struggles as well, him figuring out what’s the right thing to do, what’s meaningful to HIM. You dunked a lot on Shadow 05’s story, and it shows. At the end of 05’s story, shadow decides to be himself, because that’s the only thing that feels true to him. He won’t fight for the sake of humanity, he won’t fight for Sonic and his friends, he won’t fight for the memory of Maria, he’ll fight for himself and what he deems is right. That’s why he’s working for GUN in the very next game. If there’s a reason for him to ally with them, he’ll do it. He doesn’t care about the past, he’s faced his own past and killed it. I really wish you could give Shadow 05 a chance. It’s my favorite Sonic game. Lots of fantastic and memorable scenes in there.
Personally, my favourite scene in frontiers is towards the end where eggman breaks down after realizing Sage was gone. If you actually went through the hassle of getting the egg memos and learning about how Eggman apparently was missing familial connections just to make an ai that is technically his daughter. Humanizing Eggman wasnt a thing I thought I needed
My favorite scene of each game (long comment ahead, you have been warned): Sonic 1: The journey from Green Hill to Scrap Brain as the world gets more robotic and metallic as well Sonic CD: Intro cutscene (JP OST to be specific), but Metal Sonic fight is close too Sonic 2: Ending (where Sweet Dreams plays), especially the non-Super Sonic version where Tails catches Sonic, but the Super Sonic version is also pretty cool Sonic 3 & Knuckles: I also like the final arc, specifically the entirety of Hidden Palace Zone and Sky Sanctuary Zone, fighting Knuckes, as he finds the truth, Eggman betrays him, Knuckles helps you, you go to Sky Sanctuary and have to run after the Death Egg before it gets in orbit as Mecha Sonic tries to stop you along the way Sonic Adventure: I'm in beetween the end of Gamma's story as well, or everyone cheering on Sonic to recover the energy of the Chaos Emeralds against Perfect Chaos, but I think I'll chose the latter Sonic Adventure 2: The Last Scene (but the scene "I'm just a guy who loves adventure is close though) Sonic Heroes: I'm in beetween the first Final Story cutscene and the last one, especially because of the lines "All Living things, kneel before your master" and "Any time you want a rematch, just let me know, I'll be waiting.", but I think I'll choose the last one Sonic 06: Probably one of the 2 lines Shadow says during both of the Mephiles fights, the fight in Flame Core "That's absurd. Whatever it is you wanna do, you can do it alone." "You forgive humanity this folly then?" "I determine my own destiny." And the second fight in Dusty Desert that you mentioned "Even if the world chooses to become my enemy, I'll fight like I always have." Sonic and the Secret Rings: No doubt the whole final scene of Sonic making his 3 wishes to Erazor Sonic Unleashed: Probably my favorite portrayal of Sonic ever, so there are many moments I love, but probably "Do I need a reason to want to help out a friend?" Sonic and the Black Knight: My second favorite portrayal of Sonic ever, I'm indecise beetween so many moments... The one he talks about his "master" to Percival, the one where he says he'll jump right in after an opening and when Percival says "surely you jest?!" he says "It's just how I roll", the one where he talks with the "villager kid" about rescuing their village from a dragon saying "I play by my own rules, remember that", the iconic "evey world has it's end...", the quotes he says during the Excalibur fight, etc. But... I think I might go with the scene where Sonic says he's just gotta do what he's gotta do Sonic Colors: The final cutscene where Sonic says "A hedgehog's gotta do, what a hedgehog's gotta do...", however, the first cutscene of Sonic and Tails entering on the park chatting and then looking at the amazing view they have from their planet, is also so chill and cozy, I love it Sonic Generations: The final cutscene where everyone cheers on Sonic and the Chaos Emeralds react to the positive feelings (just like how they did back in Sonic Adventure, after all, they have the power of turning thoughts into power and are charged with positive feelings) Sonic Lost World: Probably Eggman's sacrifice and the plot twist of him coming back for the final battle... Sonic Mania: Sonic Forces: The post credits scene where Sonic and the Avatar both decides to quit the resistance and keep moving forward on their own ways, saying they'll always be togheter as long as they never stop running, that scene is quite cool Sonic Frontiers: I have many... Sonic saying that if he has 1% of chance in turning Sage's despair into hope, he wouldn't disappoint, he teaching her about the power of love and how it is miraculous, and that he would pull a miracle by the end of the adventure, Sonic saying that his fate won't be set in stone until he gives up on running, and more! But, my pick would probably be the scene where Sonic is in pain, almost fully cyber-corrupted, Sage asks him why doesn't he give up, and instead of awnsering, saying anything, saying whatever about his friends, he just breathes, put a smile on his face, and keep moving forward (and I disagree that this game story does not reach the heights of the 2000s, I think it's a GREAT direction and story, but of course, it depends of which 2000s game you're talking about, still think it has a story that's up there with the best ones) Sonic Superstars: The scene where Trip tries to warn Fang one last time about the risks of the dragon, Fang once again gets mad at her like in many past scenes, then he kicks her, she gets tired of his BS and then uses the Chaos Emeralds to turn into her dragon form and destroy Fang's mech, and then becomes friends with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy (also, I disagree this game doesn't has a good story, aside from the Last Story and only because the dragon appears out of nowhere, but it still has some sense, it is very understandable and well written for a game with no dialogue and 2D in-game scenes only, not spectacullar like S3K, but definetly super really good and fun) (and btw, I don't think Trip is the dragon Eggman was looking for but rather the black dragon that appears in the final story, she's just from the same tribe/species as the black dragon) PS: I don't think there's a single Sonic game where the characterization is straight up out of character (especially in japanese, but in english I think it still applies to some extent), some may not explore the characters to their fullest potential, and some stories may be more stale than others, talking especially about the 2010s stories compared to something like the 2020s stories (up until now at least, they've been really good with Frontiers and what we've been seeing in Shadow Generations) and especially the so well praised 2000s stories But still, even though I think the 2010s stories are more stale and weaker than the 2000s and 2020s stories, I still don't think the characters are descharacterized, and their traits still shine through in some moments thanks to some cutscenes, Sonic Colors has a lot of moments that I really like about Sonic's character just like how there are many moments I like from the 2000s games like Unleashed and Black Knight, Forces has a really cool dynamic and interactions beetween Team Dark, etc. I can't deny that Lost World is the lowest and weakest point on their characterization though, as well as the weakest story, it's the only game that I feel Sonic is one step away from becoming out of character And one thing I would like to add that you talked during Sonic 1: I think Tails is more about a character to show how to use technology for good purposes, Sonic always had that theme of nature vs technology with technology being bad for the nature and Eggman ruining nature with it, but I think Tails was introduced as a character to show good use of technology, something that does not destroy nature or takes over large places with polution, that theme of technology being used for good was always a theme since Sonic CD's good futures aren't simply futures free of technology but rather futures with ecofriendly technology
Man, I've made this opinion be heard before and I'll keep saying it cause I truly think it's a positive change for most Sonic tubers. Just stop putting down games when introducing them, it's really REALLY not that hard to do. I don't need to hear the millionth incarnation of "Writing bad gun cringe haha" for Shadow the Hedgehog, the millionth incarnation of "game broken game bad kiss cringe" for 06, the millionth incarnation of "linear bad story butchered" for Forces and so and so forth. Even for games I actively don't really enjoy like Heroes, Sonic 4 Episode I or Colors I don't want to see them getting that type of treatment. It is ALWAYS a turnoff, it is NEVER informative or funny, I bet the majority of Sonic fans that view these videos have reached a point where they legitimately sigh with every such sentence. Instead of setting up the game for a knuckle sandwich like you're about to 🗑️ talk it in a rap battle introduce it like you would any other game. I've been hoping for this mindset to get established into this fanbase's creators ever since joining the fanbase in 2021, it's truly sad that with some exceptions it hasn't happened at all.
Yeah, it's part of the reason why I'm going to start shifting away from these more broad Sonic videos, honestly. I'm tired of talking about the same franchise and entries over again, like it's the only thing I like. Instead, I'm just starting to make videos going into more depth with things I can enjoy more (like a Hat in Time or Persona 5). Enough pretending like Sonic is the only IP I genuinely enjoy 🙃
@@Plexi.T That's cool and all, glad you're branching out, wish you the best. My point tho was that needless bashing you always see from time to time with Sonic tubers. No offense of course but how do you expect us to react to when setting up those introductions lol? Am I supposed to reenact that SpongeBob GIF where he violently goes YEEEEEAH WOOOO for the SA2 praise and go "Yeah you tell em😡✊" when you say Shadow 05 or 06 are bad? Again no offense but what does that even contribute to the video? Your personality is rich in the editing style, pacing and the rest of the script, I really thinks it brings you down a bit brother. And I think that applies broadly, not just Sonic. Mass Effect, right? We love it. Andromeda wasn't as peak as the original trilogy, that is well known. As a fan and as a gamer, when I click on a Mass Effect franchise video or an Andromeda video discussing, hm, idk, open world/hub areas and the introduction goes like "Ah Mass Effect Andromeda... What a 💩show, right? Terrible terrible game, everything is so bad here. So let's talk about the open world" I just wanna click off immediately, you know? It just feels like appeasing the hateful masses for literally no reason, while us fans are just on the side going "Uh, OK, could have done without that ngl🤷♂️😬👍". Even when there's merit to the criticism it pretty much never sticks the landing when it doesn't contribute to the concept of the video (which is pretty much never unless it's a direct critique of the whole product or that very specific element of said product).
Shadows first scene with mephiles before they fight in flame core was also really good. All of their scenes are great. I hope he returns in Sonic x shadow generations
37:29 honestly frontiers Amy does act like Amy would (mostly), she’s talking about love , main priority is to help the small find their love she’s always been about helping the small ones like the flicky , but she does sound so depressed for no reason , tails and knuckles don’t act this way , she also acts very emotional-less which is so bizarre and the game never brings up the love she used to have for sonic , if she was acting this way cuase of forces it would make sense but there’s no answer asides from maybe being trapped between 2 dimensions 😅 , it def feels like she’s missing that passionate love she had
There is something I want to tell about Shadow The Hedgehog The spinoff I think it's best to look into the game more Because with the good hero route he helps he cares about enemies and allies it's more interesting than you may expect
To give context as to why Sonics friends couldn’t compete with Eggman in Sonic Forces, none of them are comparable to Sonic strength or speed wise (in canon). In 06 Shadow straight up says they only have a shot of defeating Solaris if Sonic is alive, indicating that Sonic is more powerful than Shadow. And Shadow is consistently shown as Sonic’s relative equal, but not exact equal. In Forces, after Infinite spared Sonic during their second encounter, Eggman got mad when he learned of it. As opposed to when Eggmans empire was fighting for months and he wasn’t worried. It indicates that Sonic is in a class all his own (which Sonic does say in Forces). Context and dialogue says a lot. Also my favourite moment in Forces is the cutscene before the first boss with Infinite. Just because we get to hear the vocal theme. And my favourite moment in Frontiers is the Final Horizon patch because it’s just the last story of Sonic 06. Sonic isn’t feeling so good, his friends gather the chaos emeralds, he gets better, and fights the final boss.
Even if what you say is true, that still doesn't stop it from being disappointed and disrespectful as Sonic just becomes the literal Jesus of their world. If they were going for that, at least show us HOW Eggman beat them all, instead of implying an embarrassing defeat in a f*cking slides presentation.
Interesting how you interpreted Shadow saying they needed Sonic as Sonic being significantly stronger than everyone else combined, rather than Solaris being so powerful that they needed the combined strength of all 3 hedgehogs to defeat him across time.
@Sarge327 Even if you go that route, Knuckles is there so and he also has a Super State. So that would still equate to 3 Super states being present with Shadow, Knuckles and Silver. Earlier in that game Sonic was able to beat Silver easily, however he was caught off guard when he tried to talk to him. Silver never defeats Sonic in the game. When the two encounter each other again, Shadow steps in telling Sonic he can handle it. At the end of the fight both are breathing heavily indicating they are evenly matched. Shadow even used his Chaos Boost powers when you played as Silver. And knowing this, it’s safe to say Sonic would beat Shadow no problem. It should be clear by all accounts, that Sonic is more powerful than all his friends. Mephiles sent Silver to murk Sonic as he thought Silver had a shot, and Silver couldn’t get the job done.
@Plexi.T I didn’t say it wasn’t disappointing or disrespectful. Also Sonic has phased characters out before and basically made them a non-factor or did them a disservice. Amy in SA2 was plain bad, in Shadow where President loves Gerald Robotonik despite what happened in SA2, in 06 Knuckles is treated like a fool. Unleashed only has Sonic, Tails, Amy and Eggman as returning characters. With Eggman being treated like a joke sometimes, Amy being a damsel in distress and Tails just being a method of transportation. Colors had Tails be afraid of the final boss, and in the purple wisp factory in Asteroid Coaster. Eggman is treated as being even more of a joke. And Sonic became super obnoxious. I can go on how characters were disrespected much earlier than people think. Sometimes people like to repress the memory that is Tails lands on his bum, Knuckles lands on his head, and Sonic lands on his feet in Sonic 06, all in the same cutscene. Painful memories I get it. But whatever Forces has done to offend the fans, it wasn’t new. Sonic Forces was just a mediocre Sonic game that came out after Mania. It’s a timing thing. If it did show how Eggman beat them all, it would just be more disrespectful for fans as they wouldn’t accept it. No matter how one slices it, the fans were never going to be happy. Sort of like how fans don’t accept that Infinite is more powerful than all of Eggmans creations, which would include the Time Eater. There are some things we just have to accept.
@@theomnigamer9177 The only answer I really have for that is just inconsistent writing. Knuckles is treated like a goober until they want him to be busted, remember when he punched the Super out of Super Sonic while in base? I do. Shadow in this same very game was able to absolutely breeze through an army of Mephiles after removing only 2 of his 4 Inhibitor Rings. Additionally, he also completely punked Silver in very same cutscene as they were shown being evenly matched. Also looking at other games, namely SA2, Sonic and Shadow were portrayed as completely equal in both base and in their Super forms. Even in the upcoming game Shadow is now strong enough to solo Metal Overlord while in base, and if this is supposed to run concurrently with Sonic Generations then I'd argue that at that moment Shadow could even be stronger than Sonic. The only time I'd actually agree with Sonic being blatantly stronger than Shadow is during the events of Forces, where Infinite is able to take out Shadow but still thinks Sonic could be a threat. But by the time of Sonic Prime, Shadow and Sonic are again portrayed as equals.
34:24 *ahem* ☝️🤓 1- metallic madness is the name of a zone in Sonic CD 2- what you wanted to say would be “metal madness” 3- that’s not even metal madness, that’s a variation of Metal Sonic Kai, the final boss in Knuckles’ Chaotix. It has been named Giga Metal.
Sonic 2006 only has three good moments. Shadow kicking Silver Omega revealing the truth to Shadow Shadow’s Ending Cutscene Anything else has a heavy drawback to it, the biggest example being Blaze’s Sacrifice. This is one of the WORST moments for how undeserved it is. If you think it’s a “Good Moment”, you’re delusional. I’m sorry, but you are.
Silver and Blaze’s relationship was not set up at well (it’s pretty nonexistent) There’s no point in saving the future if it’s already destroyed. He leaves Sonic WIDE OPEN for Mephiles and dooms all of existence. Blaze’s Sacrifice was completely and utterly for nothing. Fuck This Story!!!
@@gameman5804i think you should maybe turn your “film critic” glasses off when enjoying Sonic 06’s story. You’re assuming the story is bad merely because it doesn’t make sense or the relationships weren’t “developed”. It’s not that kinda piece of media dude, open your heart to different things and appreciate them freely
@@gameman5804 im trying to tell you your word isn’t gospel and 06 has a different kind of way of telling a story. If you wanna keep being a square and stick with a TH-cam film critic mentality it’s on you, you’ll have the “benefit” of only enjoying the things mainstream tells you are “good”
I'm gonna make a real spicey hottake: Lost world is better than colors. Like sorry, but colors feels like a filler episode with sonic just making bad jokes either towards tails, or a robot that is physicly not able to react to it. Are the Zetes cartoonish stereotyps? Yes, but they are still far more entertaining and respect to the writters taking the risk and trying to give Sonic some flaws. Also from the level/gameplay designs, I enjoy lost world way more than colors. Heck I even argue that Colors has the worst bosses in the series.

Best Eggman scene in the whole franchise for me.

I literally called all the classic game choices, those scenes are just so amazing and iconic
Honorable mention should go to the scene in Black Knight where Knuckles does questionable things after losing to Sonic.
I would really go a call that "best scene" material, but it definitely is a stand-out moment in the story.

Was hoping I'd see that scene from Shadow's story in 06. Honestly a top one in the franchise overall!
For Generations, I'll go with the mirror scene before the Death Egg Robot.
For Lost World, Eggman punching a wall was close but I have to go with the confrontation with Zavok at the start of Sky Road.
My personal pick for frontiers would be the final boss of update 3. Especially the final cutscene where Sonic gets fired out of the cannon
And also the music is amazing
One Sonicous Scene
I should seriously start that trend, unironically 🤣
In the shadow the hedgehog part you used the Sonic 06 version of all hail shadow. it's surprising how much a remix can change a song, I like the 06 version so much better
For me, Gamma’s death is the best. So simple but so effective, it’s crazy how they did it so well
Based
The final scene in Sonic Unleashed is so emotional. Also love the Lancelot scene in Black Knight.
Great video 👏
I agree wholeheartedly with that take. It's such a shame that a genuine masterpiece had to come after Sonic 06 😔
@@Plexi.T I remember Eggman said in Forces episode Shadow that Shadow took out Team Infinite (killed them)
Nah, Lost World's best moment is when Eggman says he doesn't want to be in the dumb argument between Sonic and Tails
The best scene in Forces and Lost World, is the sweet relief of the end credits finally coming up.
Why does sonic 1 story feel better than 06 and forces story 😂
Love the bridge scene with sonic and chip
fax, it's such an emotional one.
My favorite scene of each game (long comment ahead, you have been warned):
Sonic 1: The journey from Green Hill to Scrap Brain as the world gets more robotic and metallic as well
Sonic CD: Intro cutscene (JP OST to be specific), but Metal Sonic fight is close too
Sonic 2: Ending (where Sweet Dreams plays), especially the non-Super Sonic version where Tails catches Sonic, but the Super Sonic version is also pretty cool
Sonic 3 & Knuckles: I also like the final arc, specifically the entirety of Hidden Palace Zone and Sky Sanctuary Zone, fighting Knuckes, as he finds the truth, Eggman betrays him, Knuckles helps you, you go to Sky Sanctuary and have to run after the Death Egg before it gets in orbit as Mecha Sonic tries to stop you along the way
Sonic Adventure: I'm in beetween the end of Gamma's story as well, or everyone cheering on Sonic to recover the energy of the Chaos Emeralds against Perfect Chaos, but I think I'll chose the latter
Sonic Adventure 2: The Last Scene (but the scene "I'm just a guy who loves adventure is close though)
Sonic Heroes: I'm in beetween the first Final Story cutscene and the last one, especially because of the lines "All Living things, kneel before your master" and "Any time you want a rematch, just let me know, I'll be waiting.", but I think I'll choose the last one
Sonic 06: Probably one of the 2 lines Shadow says during both of the Mephiles fights, the fight in Flame Core
"That's absurd. Whatever it is you wanna do, you can do it alone."
"You forgive humanity this folly then?"
"I determine my own destiny."
And the second fight in Dusty Desert that you mentioned
"Even if the world chooses to become my enemy, I'll fight like I always have."
Sonic and the Secret Rings: No doubt the whole final scene of Sonic making his 3 wishes to Erazor
Sonic Unleashed: Probably my favorite portrayal of Sonic ever, so there are many moments I love, but probably "Do I need a reason to want to help out a friend?"
Sonic and the Black Knight: My second favorite portrayal of Sonic ever, I'm indecise beetween so many moments...
But... I think I might go with the scene where Sonic says he's just gotta do what he's gotta do
Sonic Colors: The final cutscene where Sonic says "A hedgehog's gotta do, what a hedgehog's gotta do...", however, the first cutscene of Sonic and Tails entering on the park chatting and then looking at the amazing view they have from their planet, is also so chill and cozy, I love it
Sonic Generations: The final cutscene where everyone cheers on Sonic and the Chaos Emeralds react to the positive feelings (just like how they did back in Sonic Adventure, after all, they have the power of turning thoughts into power and are charged with positive feelings)
Sonic Lost World: Probably Eggman's sacrifice and the plot twist of him coming back for the final battle...
Sonic Mania:
Sonic Forces: The post credits scene where Sonic and the Avatar both decides to quit the resistance and keep moving forward on their own ways, saying they'll always be togheter as long as they never stop running, that scene is quite cool
Sonic Frontiers: I have many...
But, my pick would probably be the scene where Sonic is in pain, almost fully cyber-corrupted, Sage asks him why doesn't he give up, and instead of awnsering, saying anything, saying whatever about his friends, he just breathes, put a smile on his face, and keep moving forward (and I disagree that this game story does not reach the heights of the 2000s, I think it's a GREAT direction and story, but of course, it depends of which 2000s game you're talking about, still think it has a story that's up there with the best ones)
Sonic Superstars: The scene where Trip tries to warn Fang one last time about the risks of the dragon, Fang once again gets mad at her like in many past scenes, then he kicks her, she gets tired of his BS and then uses the Chaos Emeralds to turn into her dragon form and destroy Fang's mech, and then becomes friends with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy (also, I disagree this game doesn't has a good story, aside from the Last Story and only because the dragon appears out of nowhere, but it still has some sense, it is very understandable and well written for a game with no dialogue and 2D in-game scenes only, not spectacullar like S3K, but definetly super really good and fun) (and btw, I don't think Trip is the dragon Eggman was looking for but rather the black dragon that appears in the final story, she's just from the same tribe/species as the black dragon)
PS: I don't think there's a single Sonic game where the characterization is straight up out of character (especially in japanese, but in english I think it still applies to some extent), some may not explore the characters to their fullest potential, and some stories may be more stale than others, talking especially about the 2010s stories compared to something like the 2020s stories (up until now at least, they've been really good with Frontiers and what we've been seeing in Shadow Generations) and especially the so well praised 2000s stories
But still, even though I think the 2010s stories are more stale and weaker than the 2000s and 2020s stories, I still don't think the characters are descharacterized, and their traits still shine through in some moments thanks to some cutscenes, Sonic Colors has a lot of moments that I really like about Sonic's character just like how there are many moments I like from the 2000s games like Unleashed and Black Knight, Forces has a really cool dynamic and interactions beetween Team Dark, etc.
I can't deny that Lost World is the lowest and weakest point on their characterization though, as well as the weakest story, it's the only game that I feel Sonic is one step away from becoming out of character
And one thing I would like to add that you talked during Sonic 1: I think Tails is more about a character to show how to use technology for good purposes, Sonic always had that theme of nature vs technology with technology being bad for the nature and Eggman ruining nature with it, but I think Tails was introduced as a character to show good use of technology, something that does not destroy nature or takes over large places with polution, that theme of technology being used for good was always a theme since Sonic CD's good futures aren't simply futures free of technology but rather futures with ecofriendly technology
Man, the movies will have a lot of stories to adapt. The possibilities are out of this world
SONIC RIDERS SERIES🤨🤨🤨
Poking fun at "damn fourth Chaos Emerald." I can only imagine how long it took you to come up with that one.
While I do like the ending in Unleashed, Sonic and Chips heart to heart at the Adabat sunset is my fav
Shadow’s hand in that art is anatomically nuts. Must be that Alien DNA 😂
You’re 100% right, I’m right there with you. We need more people like this in the fanbase.

There is something I want to tell about Shadow The Hedgehog

@@Plexi.T fair enough!!! Can respect that, super subjective so!!!

PS: Spot on with Gamma’s story
@THEFINALHAZARD Thank you so much, man 😅
To give context as to why Sonics friends couldn’t compete with Eggman in Sonic Forces, none of them are comparable to Sonic strength or speed wise (in canon).

*ahem* ☝️🤓
1- metallic madness is the name of a zone in Sonic CD
2- what you wanted to say would be “metal madness”
3- that’s not even metal madness, that’s a variation of Metal Sonic Kai, the final boss in Knuckles’ Chaotix. It has been named Giga Metal.
Well done

How about final horizon dlc Super sonic 2 vs The End was complete badass.
Sonic 2006 only has three good moments.
Shadow kicking Silver
Omega revealing the truth to Shadow
Shadow’s Ending Cutscene
Anything else has a heavy drawback to it, the biggest example being Blaze’s Sacrifice.
This is one of the WORST moments for how undeserved it is. If you think it’s a “Good Moment”, you’re delusional. I’m sorry, but you are.
Silver and Blaze’s relationship was not set up at well (it’s pretty nonexistent)
There’s no point in saving the future if it’s already destroyed.
He leaves Sonic WIDE OPEN for Mephiles and dooms all of existence. Blaze’s Sacrifice was completely and utterly for nothing.
