Yeah that was for me the best led Arma mission I have played in 10 years of weekly Arma missions. The team was tight and having fun too. Would go again anytime :)
It’s insane how serious they take this game.
damn that played out like a real vietnam story we read in the books. imagine flying into that as a pilot on the daily, or being the ones chased out. it should make you appreciate those real life S.O.G folks (and vietnam vets in general) a lot more.

This FPS reminded me of a famous classic FPS "Vietcong" released in 2003 by the Pterodon game studio of the Czech republic. That was so awesome FPS at the time and this Vietnam FPS took after the game perfectly. 👍

This gave me flashbacks of Jocko's podcast with the SOG boys. Goddamn those were men.
Playing with the DLC, the mod makers did proper work with AI suppression and LOS. No more AI shooting you through bushes, they need line on you to fire. Better than LAMBS as far as i can tell.
The ai feels properly balanced with this mod
As an ex-LRRP your mission would have been compromised after your first contact. Our main concern was not getting into a firefight since we only had five-man patrols. Also, we had no personal radios to communicate with each other. That required a lot of use of hand signals and staying close enough to hear verbal commands. I was on over 35 missions and only made accidental contact three times. All three required us to run like hell or I wouldn't be writing this comment. Our missions lasted 3-5 days depending on what our objectives were. We would hop skip and jump between several LZs before we finally left the helo. Remember, our primary mission was recon, and that required stealth to be able to get in close. It wasn't until later in the war that the missions were "Hunter-Killer" missions for direct action against enemy targets. I had already rotated back to the ZI by then.
I enjoy how everyone uses proper radio use. Really makes it better.

This is cool, I've been to that part of Cambodia, specifically the town of Sihanoukville on the western margin of the map, it's beautiful. The beach is lines with little shack bars for like 2 straight miles, each one with a different theme, and at the northern end of the beach up on the promontory there's another outdoor bar with a stunning overlook of the sea and the whole beach.

Visually very realistic. My only criticism is the communications.
There was no individual radio comms/mics amongst SOG/LRRP in Vietnam. There was a dedicated squad RTO sometimes two.
A realistic game correction would be volume control based upon distance from player to player along with enemy NPC's being alerted to conversations.
I feel like this dlc is the revival for Arma ind 2021.. So many people are coming back to Arma 3 now
