@@AnnaBeyOfficial I was at the drug store a while back, and the pharmacist had these horrible tattooed eyebrows. It looked like someone drawn them on her face with a very thick brown marker. Just two super-thick lines, no micro-blading, just solid colour. The shape was terrible for her face, and they were so thick, like caterpillars. I did another comment under this video about how fluoride causes acne, it also causes depression because it damages the thyroid. Anna herself has problems with her thyroid so I think she has fluoride poisoning that gave her the bad acne she had in the past along with her thyroid problems. Get the book, “The Hidden Cause of Acne” and it explains it. That’s the book I found that changed my life. Don’t take that strong medicine she recommended because even though it does work for some people, it’s extremely strong and many times it doesn’t work. It’s not addressing the root cause of the problem. Good luck to you!!!!
You are so right! The convenience of having lip liner or eyeliner or your eyebrows permanently done due to getting a tattoo is not worth the risk! Bad permanent makeup MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE TO REMOVE. A lot of people think that laser tattoo removal is foolproof and it should be able to completely remove any tattoo. That is not true. There is many tattoos that cannot be removed completely or at all with lazer. Not to mention the expense. It's just really not worth the time it would save you.
All surgeries present a risk, and I would not recommend anyone taking on these risks to alter their appearance. Fillers are now known not to disappear as they were advertised. Fillers hang around in your face and can be seen when you have an MRI scan. As an older person, the best way to look weird is to have cosmetic 'enhancements' Stick with make up!
Agreed! make up, well done hair, polished nails, nice shoes and most importantly a fit toned body with well chosen clothes that matches your personal style as well as your color - and icing on the cake: a lovely handbag ;)
Hello Ana, I love your videos. In terms of acne, I believe it’s important to be mindfulness with people who are acne prone skin type. Myself being one of them, I continue to struggle with acne and have spent thousands of dollars on medications and treatments. Unfortunately, acne prone skin are resistant to these treatments and has become part out our lives. People tend to immediately criticize you by saying, “you don’t invest on your skin” yet people don’t know the journey we have been through.
Hey if you have acne pron skin, so do I here are things that have worked for me: Nutrition invest in a good nutritionist Facials Tretinol A simple and adequate skin care routine

I missed my Anna videos these last few weeks! I appreciate the growth and maturity shown in this channel as she has grown and her priorities in life have changed - she has always advocated for finding your own personal style while putting your best foot forward in engaging with the public. In this video there is the advice to exercise caution when it comes to making changes to your appearance, as we want to get it right instead of risking a bad look and wasting money for it
Please focus on your diet, sleep and rest routine as well as living an active lifestyle to promote healthy skin. Healthy skin comes from the inside - your health, physically and mentally. No amount of skincare or medication or facial treatment can help your skin if you don’t take care of your health properly. It takes time but it will be a permanent and sustainable transformation for your skin once you start living a healthy lifestyle consistently.
@@artemis2520 Yes but living a healthy lifestyle can still provide you a clearer step toward healthy skin. Plus if you live like sh*t but still have clear skin, I don’t think it is something to be proud of, in fact I think it is dangerous, all the toxins is built inside. Imagine this, would you rather have acne outside or inside the body where you cannot see and do anything about it because you don’t see it so you think there is nothing wrong and you don’t change and you never know one day what it will turn out, a collapse of health altogether. I battle with this post college, I personally have undergone Chinese Medicine practice that has healed my health and skin, but a healthy lifesyle is still a needed foundation for the medicine to work as well.
Thanks for this lovely comment. I know Ana had good luck with medication, but I wince a little whenever she recommends it because she never mentions alternatives.
As I prepare to transition from night shift nurse to working from home to very shortly a nurse practitioner in an office setting your videos have been especially helpful to me to look and feel elegant and put together. I have been binging your videos and given thought as to what to get rid of and elevate myself to be polished and put together. ❤ I love that you support the decision of plastic surgery if it is right for that lady.
Great advice! Especially regarding eyebrow tattoos. I had a doctor with really bad eyebrow tattoos and this was so distracting when talking with her. I’ve had staff at hair salons try to talk me into “ permanent makeup “ I would never consider this because everyone has such different ideas about what looks good. I know women who were employed by cosmetics companies to do women’s makeup whose own makeup appeared very strange so I can’t imagine trusting someone to tattoo makeup on me . Anything permanent is definitely not something to rush into. You look very beautiful, BTW, and that rose color is so flattering on you!
I am sure you are a wonderfull woman! My mother is 53 she always talks about how much she changed and I really dont see it she is a beautiful, intelligent and strong woman I am sure the same goes for you dont be hard on yourself you got this ❤

You are so right about the eyebrows. Nowadays pretty Girls ruin their faces with terrible eyebrows. Too dark and doesnt follow the natural lines of the face
Yes, I always pay attention to these details to up level my look. I dont judge but it's important to look your best to feel your best + boost confidence😊
First order of business: that pink is BEAUTIFUL on you! The brows, oh, the brows. . . I’ve seen every mistake from too bushy to so thin they looked like a line drawn on. I have never seen microblading go right. I’m serious. I have a friend who INSISTED on having it done, and she really did her research. After everything healed she called me in tears. Those brows had an ORANGE base when they faded. I dye mine, and she agreed to let me try to get them to a more natural color. They looked much better, but when the dye wore off she had that orange color everywhere that blade touched. The next time she had them done they were black and she looked like one of the Marx Brothers.
I used Accutanne and it finally did cure the horrific cystic acne I had. I used to miss events and spent my 20s hiding under concealer. Unfortunately I did not get the treatment till I was 40 and got ugly scars. I did get my face and confidence back eventually.
I am 21 and suffering from mild cystic acne at the moment... it's not as bad as it was 2 years ago but I'm tired of it; it just wont go away and when I think I'm clear, another painful one comes up. I don't really want to take Accutane... I've heard many bad things about it and I don't want any bodily complications later on as I want children. How did it affect your body?
@@artemis2520 Hi artemis, Accutane will shink your pores but also your eye glands, permanently. I would suggest taking a vitamin A supplement, and starting on benzoyl peroxide if you haven't already. it takes a lifetime to track the triggers of acne, so start a journal. I took it 3 times and it never goes away, you just have to manage it like diabetes. A healthy vegan diet also helps
I had my eyebrows tattoo'd and they are FABULOUS. The artist knew about pigment and how to prevent grey/blue/green shading. She did micro-shading, they're not perfectly symmetrical (because my face isn't perfectly symmetrical) but they are perfect for my face. It honestly doesn't look like I have a tattoo. Best beauty decision I made that year. 😀
Like you, I waited until my late 20s to do Accutane. It was the most intense experience with the side effects but it seriously changed my life. I completely relate to what you’re saying - HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders and I can’t believe I waited so long. I have ice pick scarring but it’s fading with time.
Please think twice about taking tetracycline (for acne) long-term. It has serious side effects. I have permanent teeth staining, low bone density, and had a blood clot in my ear. I lost 70% hearing in my left ear.
@divanapozo I have really liked Puritan's Pride brand Zinc for Acne. Not sponsored. It is inexpensive. I cut the tablets in half and take that once a day with food, since my body is very sensitive.
@@ssmith543 is your acne inflammatory? Asking this just because mine it is and I've been fighting for so many years with different treatments and I still don't seem to heal completely.
@divanapozo I did get cysts, but only about one at a time, pimples and blackheads regularly.. As soon as my mother saw the first sign, she took me to a dermatologist. That "doctor" told me it would be fine to be on a lower dose consistently. I was on tetracycline and minocycline from age 13 to 19. I permanently lost my hearing in my left ear. Now my bones are much more brittle than they should be, and my teeth have a gray shadow. I don't want you to go through what I have.
Totally agree on brows . I had mine done in the beginning when it was so “on trend” and it was a huge mistake. They are fading some, but I have to use eyebrow pencil, gel & concealer just to make them look ok. Huge mistake! And she had done some of my friend and theirs looked really good btw 🤦🏼♀️
I’ve never done anything to my face or any part of my body. I love being me. I don’t wish to look like anyone else. It’s freedom. I prefer to STAND OUT , than fit in . I’d never want to look like everyone else.
I have always had light, sparse lashes and brows. Penciling in my brows was hard, but after I got them very lightly tattooed I had a template to follow and penciling was quick and easy. Now, with the new waxy liquid brow make-up that clings to the individual hairs, they look natural and last all day. I got a very conservative tattoo eyeliner on the upper lash line as well, this was all about 30 years ago! It is still there, so when I go swimming, I don’t look like I have no lashes. I would say less is more, but with these new brow products, you don’t have to resort to tattooing. That is so old school. Anna, you look so good. 💗
I just love you Anna. I have really started investing in myself more after watching your videos. I am doing things now that I have never done before like: Weekly blowouts, not letting my roots get out of control, monthly facials. It doesn’t make us shallow or vain to care about our physical appearance. Great job I just love you and your messages ❤ ty
For the acne, I didn't want to take the medication. I started to take some natural complement and found a good esthetician that advised me the right products for my face. and my life changed! I swear it's possible for women who struggle with it! We have to find the right way for us!
I wish Donatella Versace would visit a high quality cosmetic surgeon. Remove some of her filler, and remake her face. There seems to be so many good surgeons around these days. Would love to see her with some added beauty rather than the direction she has gone. Thank you, Ana. Bkess us all! May we all enjoy health, beauty and vitality.
That's actually the Canadian pronounciation, we always say ''zed'' here. It's true that the French say it very similar to us, but they don't say it exactly the same - we say ''zed'', they say more like ''eh-zede'', there's a very noticable French accent to it.
Piece meal is not good. Keep it uniform. Instead, do a vertical restore if you are finding that you need so much done. Also, if you are having a lot of skin problems, have your liver checked. If we have toxins built up in the liver, it will show in our skin.
I think the thing that's really encouraging is that these are all things that we are responsible for through our own very direct choices...it's always good to remember how many aspects of our appearance ARE choice-based and pretty much within our control. Even if you don't choose to spend out on things like veneers, you can definitely have slightly whiter teeth or neat well-kept nail polish!
I love this video! I’m definitely not wealthy, but the best gifts I’ve ever received is the money (for birthdays & Christmas) to “invest in myself”. I used to hate that term, but I’m recognizing that if I’m going to do something nice for myself, elevating my appearance makes me feel the best (instead of asking for clothes, shoes, etc). I have gotten my acne under control, my teeth issues fixed (& eventually got caps), microblading, a much needed breast implant surgery, & Botox in my glabella. Even without nice clothes and shoes, I feel so much more confident, now that those issues are fixed~ and I’m happy 😊
From 16 to now 76, I shave my face using disposable razors (Bic) and they last me two months ( clean blades w old toothbrush) Japanese women shave their faces. People remark that i look 50! I have almost no nasolabial folds and my neck ( also shaved) is smooth and taut no loose skin. Once shaved ( w soap) I rinse well and apply hyaluronic acid etc then sunscreen Shaving slightly exfoliates and allows better absorption of active skin products
I found I did better with no exfoliation. I tried to do it very gently, and very lightly, but it still just made my skin irritated. I wanted to exfoliate, because I felt like I had dry skin that needed to be exfoliated off, but, honestly, for me, exfoliating just made my skin irritated, no matter how gentely and infrequently I did it. I found what worked best for me was simply lots of moister. The dry skin I wanted to exfoliate away seemed to mostly go away with a lot of moisterizing. And you don't need an exepensive moisterizer. I'm in my later 40s now, my skin looks good for my age, no wrikles, and I just use cheap drugstore moisterizer, plus coconut oil. Moisterizer is moisterizer. It doesn't do anything else, despite the claims of the expensive brands. So just buy the cheap stuff. And try coconut oil. I put it straight onto my face before my shower, let it sit a while, then soap it off. Skin is soft and glowing after. I also put it in my hair, and, same thing, let it sit, shampoo it out. I have long, naturally curly hair, it gets so dry and frizzy, this helps so much.
I just wanted to add in a suggestion for those that may have acne. Try blue light therapy. I was having pretty bad acne and was able to clear a lot of it up with blue light therapy. I have a mask now that has red and blue light so it’s very seldom that I get acne anymore, but I am a little bit older. at first I used a cheap mask that had blue lights and then I upgraded. It was really very helpful for me and it’s something I would never have considered before. It really did work for me.
girlllllll, im pretty sure eyebrow tattoo will be for LIFE it is something i will NEVER EVER do not with so many eyebrow products out there, in the seventies and eighties i could only dream of all the products that exist these days and they look so natural, you just have to be realistic and SUBTLE with them

CASTOR OIL totally filled in my EYEBROW hair naturally after about three to four weeks of using it every day and night. Castor Oil (Organic, Hexane Free, Cold Pressed, in Glass Bottle) is GREAT!
When you were telling about your adult acne, I could really relate to what you were saying, but in a different way. I wore glasses for many years, but got RK (precursor to lasik) done in my mid 20s. The feeling of being able to see my son across the room without glasses for the first time was amazing! But it also improved my self confidence by 300%. I felt so much sexier and happier without the glasses. The old saying of "Sometimes, it's the little changes that make the biggest difference." is so true! For anyone who is living with acne scarring, you should microneedling. My co-worker tried it, and it made a huge difference! It is not cheap, though, and will take three of your weekends (if you do it on Fridays).
Facial hair - yup, I have that, since my 30s, when my periods started to get much heavier. Laser has not got rid of it, due to the hormonal reason for its presence in the first place. An expensive and disappointing journeyy Trust and believe, I have investigated the options, and so far I have not found anything to give me back the confidence that I lost 20 years ago due to this issue.
Have you tried electrolysis? It is the only FDA approved procedure to permanently stop hair growth. They go in manually to each individual hair follicle and zap it.
@@ajjudge7983 My daughter is graduating from esthetician school and she is thinking about going into electrolysis and it is 650 hours of schooling so it seems like it's pretty thorough to be able to get licensed in it.
Great advice as always, Anna! 💗 Just a couple tips: For those that are looking to get ride of acne, breakouts, etc., eliminating dairy from your diet is a game-changer. You can swap out dairy for plant-based versions of it and a lot of them taste great. Also, a natural way to whiten teeth is to use hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash. Simple, inexpensive and effective. Don't swallow it of course though. 😁
Great video Anna, totally agree, whatever you choose to do make sure it improves our appearance. Any permanent change must be researched extensively before proceeding with it.
The cat lady used to come to the salon I worked in on Long Island (her lawyer too)... They had to come in before we opened to the public because the reactions they received were so extreme. Sad.
Regarding lip hair, it could be a sign of PCOS. It is hard to be subjective about your own appearance. Most people are too polite to tell you when you messed up. The service providers have the incentive to sell you unnecessary procedures. I just assume everyone is lying to me. lol.
Also - the SIZE of veneers. People lately have gone OVER THE TOP. Veneers aren’t new, but the trend of veneers too big for your face is “now in.” It looks soooo bad.
You often show photos of yourself when you were younger and before your "leveling up journey". I can see you are wearing different makeup, but what I would like to see in a video is showing what you did wrong in your younger years and how and what you changed as you progressed. How is your makeup now different from in those early photos? How did you learn to use makeup to enhance on screen compared to before, etc. That sort of thing would be helpful.
Acne is caused by eating carbs. I had cystic, hormonal acne for years. I read a book called Why We Get Suck by Ben Bikman and learned that acne was a sign of high insulin. I went on a keto diet and boom! No more acne. When I add the carbs back in the acne returns.
@@iss8504 Hormonal imbalance causes acne too. Years ago I was struggling with it and it was my birth control. I had a good diet, low carb but it was the worst years of acne 🤷🏻♀️
True about the hair. It's better to look plain, than bad. I have never dyed my hair in my life, and I'm in my later 40s now. It's just not me. I prefer natural hair. Dyed hair would just not be me, or reflect who I am. Also, I don't want to put the time, money, or effort into doing it, and maintaining it. And if you're like that, and you don't want to (or can't) do it properly, I say it's better to just not do it at all. Because plain hair is better than non-maintained dyed hair, with roots showing, or badly-done hair, with the wrong colour. And this applies to everything, not just hair. If you can't (or don't want to) do it right, and maintain it, just don't do it, because half-way doing it will just look bad and sloppy. For example, nail polish. I kind of like the idea of it, but, realistically, I'm not interested in doing it, and maintaining it, so I just don't do it. Plain nails are much prettier than chipped nail polish. I do take care my hands and nails, making sure to file my nails nicely, into a short oval. My nails are always clean, and my hands are always moisterized. It looks nice, and natural, which is very me. And looks better than messy or chipped polish. I mean, don't get me wrong, nail polish looks so fantastic on people if they do it right. It can be so beautiful. But....I just know I'm not going to maintain it, so I don't do it.
I did hairstroke eyebrow and it’s my best decision ever. I did do a lot of research beforehand, I do think I got lucky to have met a very talented aesthetician. My eyebrow is natural, soft and blend in well with the rest of my facial features, I get many compliments and people ask me for the address where I did the eyebrow. The nicest thing is I only need to pop up some lipstick to look put together whenever out and about, obviously I would still do a full makeup if I want to look nicer and standout. It was quite expensive but so worth it.

Please consider healing your gut. All of that inflammation stems from an imbalance in your gut where the immune system is produced ♥️

I missed my Anna videos these last few weeks! I appreciate the growth and maturity shown in this channel as she has grown and her priorities in life have changed - she has always advocated for finding your own personal style while putting your best foot forward in engaging with the public. In this video there is the advice to exercise caution when it comes to making changes to your appearance, as we want to get it right instead of risking a bad look and wasting money for it
Your teeth should never be whiter than your eyes!
I know your answer will probably be unpopular, but it's absolutely spot-on.
How do you explain people that eat junk and have clear skin? With acne, have to work extra hard.

Those tattoo brow "dont" images will give me nightmares tonight!
Wow! That pink shade suits you so good! That's your color 🩷🩷🩷
I used Accutanne and it finally did cure the horrific cystic acne I had. I used to miss events and spent my 20s hiding under concealer. Unfortunately I did not get the treatment till I was 40 and got ugly scars. I did get my face and confidence back eventually.
There’s laser treatment for acne scars.
same. unfortunately the drug causes permanent eye damage over time. for scars: try Fraxel (but it's $pendy)
@@artemis2520 Hi artemis,
Accutane will shink your pores but also your eye glands, permanently.
Good Idea. Please do not touch that drug huhu. Just use Tretinoin/Adaphalene or Retinol. @@artemis2520
I've been on tetracycline for while now but I don't know what other medication would be better since Isotretinoin is worse for me 😢
@divanapozo I have really liked Puritan's Pride brand Zinc for Acne.
I took 10 days of Doxycycline. 10 days . Long term is a very bad idea .
Fuchsia looks great on you Anna .
Of course I have been in Level up class, but I love that you are back here on TH-cam!

I loved how you said the x y in the English pronunciation sound then the "z" came out in the French pronunciation sound. Love it.
That's actually the Canadian pronounciation, we always say ''zed'' here.
It's true that the French say it very similar to us, but they don't say it exactly the same - we say ''zed'', they say more like ''eh-zede'', there's a very noticable French accent to it.
I am glad it’s not just me! I have been saying for ages that all these young women all look the same these days.

I always had a lot of peach fuzz and I also started shaving my face it works!
@@antoinette4729 Agree - I use a face razor with pre and post-micro blade oil. I also use a guasha tool. Love no peach fuzz and exfoliation.
This color of your blouse looks so good on you 💕
I just wanted to add in a suggestion for those that may have acne.

Good advice for everybody to avoid bad habits.

Electrolysis is the only procedure that permanently removes hair. But it's a lengthy and painful process.
@@Mmmmkaaay thank you so much. It kinda scares me but I will investigate. Xoxo

Have you used the Tinkle razor? It’s specifically for women with fuzz on their faces. That might be of help, and a lot cheaper than electrolysis.
I just assume everyone is lying to me. lol.
The shirt color looks amazing.
Also - the SIZE of veneers. People lately have gone OVER THE TOP. Veneers aren’t new, but the trend of veneers too big for your face is “now in.” It looks soooo bad.
Yes! Like giant chicklets!
Yes, too much Botox, fillers etc is called becoming "face blind" to yourself or something like that.
Great video idea! Thank you! I’ll put together a video like that! 😃
The bad eyyebrows drive me nuts!
