That Vietnamese coffee turned my world upside down, I have to try it. 😋
When I make it, I spoon the sweet eggy froth on top of the coffee. I serve it in a clear glass so you can see the layers and then stir it all together. So delicious.

Never knew that "old school" Bosnian coffee is in fact Ethiopian coffee. Back in the day (some people still do btw) we also roasted raw beans (in a coffeebean roaster we call "šiš") and grind them (in a hand grinder called "mlin"). Only tiny difference is that we brew in it a pot called "džezva" and not a jebena. We also drink it from small handleless ceramic cups (we call them "fildžan) like the Ethiopians. Very interesting and eye-opening video! 👍

In my country, Indonesia, especially on the island of Java, it is customary to enjoy a cup of hot black coffee brewed with water cooked on a traditional wood charcoal stove and added with sugar, then in the coffee cup is inserted a smoldering charcoal. It is said that this makes the caffeine content in coffee slightly reduced, and the taste becomes lighter and softer

Although south indian filter coffee is represented here, there's more to it.
The actual coffee is made in a south indian filter, it takss around 10 minutes to filter. Then we store it throughout the day to mix with milk and sugar, to drink. As explained in the video.
We have tandoori coffee, where they make coffee as above, then out a small clay cup in tandoor to heat it up, then pur yhe coffee back and forth into it. It bubbles nicely and takes in the flavours of clay cup.
We have kalladka coffee, where they make the decoction as above, and make layers in the cup with milk. Which forms a nice gradient.
There's probably a lot more.
But the most common way coffee is made is the most terrible way I know.
Just pour 1 cup milk. 1 cup water, one spoon suagr. 1 spoon coffee powder (usually with 20% chicory)
Boil it together, strain witha tea strainer. And you have the terrible coffee which makes most indians hate coffee.
may be the reason I hate coffee. I totally stay out of coffee and prefer only tea

It's really magnificent! My favourite hot coffee without a doubt. Just a heads up: the ground coffee beans are actually NOT filtered out,but instead left to sit at the bottom of the cup, so do NOT stir the coffee and have in mind that there is a "mudy" layer of ground coffee at the bottom of the cup that is supposed to stay there (I'm pretty sure you can eat it but I believe the entirety of Greece and Turkey would agree that you shouldn't :P )

A couple of things that were missed in the South Indian coffee bit: Oftentimes the coffee beans are cut with chicory. It gives the end product a fragrant sweetness not achieved from the coffee alone. Perfect video to watch first thing in the morning with my coffee.
Vietnam: we drink coffee with egg yolk
Finland: we drink coffee with cheese
America: we drink coffee from starbucks
Indonesia: we drink coffee with cigarette

Ah you mean the good ol' "bricklayer breakfast"
Charcoal coffee
You know, I’m looking at this video kinda late but I have to say: The pronunciation in the video for the part about the coffee here in Brazil is really funny because we say it differently than you do! Some people like to be real salty and argue that in the video the lady said it wrong but I think “How else is she gonna pronounce it? She doesn’t speak Portuguese (I think) so that’s the best she can say it”
Also, our cafézinho is not a different kind of coffee per say. Sure, it uses the coffee beans we have here in Brazil but that’s about as much different from the other coffees it can get. It’s just good ol’ coffee with milk or water, take your pick! We say cafézinho for when we’re having a quick coffee, or a small cup of coffee, or a little bit of coffee.
But if you want to say coffee in Portuguese it’s just café.
I’m no coffee expert and I don’t mean to be a smartass, but I wanted to share! (I bet someone else has said something similar before so I’m just re-stating the facts at this point.)
And never forget to like coffee ☕️🥰. (And I don’t mean Starbucks !!!)
Italy has the best coffee.
Espresso, Cappuccino, Caffé Latte, Bicerin, Moka, and many more. Many of these Italian drinks are also the basis for coffee around the world, like Cuban espresso.
The next best would be Greece and Turkey. Frappé and Ibrik coffee is also fantastic.
Does italy grow coffee?
@@MOON-lw5xt exactly!
As a coffee lover. I'd love to taste all of this types of coffee😍
I wanna try Vietnam’s “coffee” if it can be called that. It looks amazing
You should try it one time. Even you can make egg coffee by yourself 🥚☕️
Im from spain and the “bombon” or whatever it isn’t the most popular coffe in no way lmao like i would rather put café con leche (coffee with hot milk)
Ooooh yes I've heard of that. There's a bakery in my country that sells packets of powder in that style of coffee
But isn’t coffee with hot milk technically a latte?
@@justtheletterV274 I believe café con leche is made with scalded milk and not steamed milk like for a lattè
@@RyanEntnerMusic in spain most popular coffee are coffe with milk (they use this thing on the espresso machine that shoots up hot vapor to heat the milk), espresso and coffe with or without milk with a glass with ice cubes. My favorite without a doubt is a good coffe with milk and a cold glass with ice cubes and no sugar!!! It tastes delicious and is refreshing!
@@Tryingmybestsince1999 Thanks for clearing that up, I enjoy espresso and know about milk steaming. Spain is a wonderful country, hope to go there one day.
In the case brazilian "cafezinho": it is just the diminutive form of the word "café" (coffee in portuguese; we often use diminutive to express affection for something or someone), and the quantity of sugar depends of the person. In Brazilian North East, there is also another technique which consists to effuse the coffee powder in a cloth strainer: it makes it taste really good, and is like my grandma used to do.
OMG FOR THE FIRST TIME THEY MENTION MY COUNTRY VIETNAM YAYAY
I'm proud
I definitely want to try the Vietnamese egg yoke coffee, the Findland cheese coffee, the Arabic spice Coffee and the Turkey Sand coffee!
Coffee lovers: who even hates coffee
also coffee lovers: I only like cappuccino and i hate every type of coffee except cappuccino
Believe it or not, I went to Vietnam and enjoyed the coffee of a homemade farmer and it was like a famous shop.
Am from Egypt and I fall in love with Turkish coffee, may 4 in day, most of Egyptian same..
I'm Italian, and we also have the Moka Coffee(it's more traditional than the Espresso)
@Jay M Yeah but the average Italian has a moka pot in their house, not an espresso machine. That's what she meant by more traditional
No need to be so aggressive for no reason, take a chill pill
Turkish coffee doesn’t specifically brewed in sand that method is pretty rare. Nearly all the time we brew it on normal cooker.
Because it's not originally turkish it's from Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine
@@renakobi5809 People probably call it turkish coffee 'cause we introduced to europe (I am sorry if there is any mistakes in my grammer)
@@hikaritheracoon8541 there is a huge misconception about the actual origin of food like some people think that hummus is Israeli which is 10000000000000000% wrong it originated in Lebanon and syria and maybe Turkey. Also many people think all our food is Turkish because they ruled our countries for some loooong time so they stole our food and said that it's theirs. Finally, I was wrong this turkish coffee originates from a country that has a desert which we don't have so I think it did originate in Turkey
@@hikaritheracoon8541 also, sorry that I wrote alot
@@renakobi5809 Nobody said Hummus is Israeli.
We in the West just say its Middle Eastern.
Obviously both Arabs and Jews consumed it together for a thousand years even prior to Turkish arrival.
Only Bagel is considered Jewish food.
However I did notice some food from Arab nations that were extremely similar to that of Turks.
