The best remembrance for several of these is... runes!
that's boring though

Yum!
Just do the rune cheese outside Mohgwyn Palace where u just shoot the bird and then rest repeatedly. 1-4 million runes per hour, with the higher end coming from gold scarab and gold bird feet
WE NEED THE DLC NOW😭😭😭😭
dude i doubled my overall playtime since the trailer dropped
Chill....some (me) are late to the party and just started 😂
Yeah got all the achievements a month ago and man I’m waiting on my character with 60 endurance for the fist weapons 😭😭😭😭

Bro chill it's coming in June, be patient.
Give this man his DLC already, he is stuck in endless ranking list loop.
“Both of these weapons are kinda mediocre” **casually does 2K+ damage with grafted dragon**
Best rememberance is the friends we made along the way
They better have a small roaming pack of walking mausoleums in the DLC.
the winged greathorn is a 15% damage debuff that lasts 60 seconds and since it makes a 10 second AOE to apply the debuff, you can use it before you're even near an enemy and then switch to a different weapon. i literally always pick it up just for that on any build, that debuff is crazy good for 12 FP.

Omg exactly what I was gonna say, facts.

Yes! As a debuff, it's amazing. Weapon is just fine. Not the end of the world if you use it.

Ancestral spirit horn is amazing for clearing levels if you use fp more sporadically to do things like cast bestial vitality or an ash of war every now and then because it allows you to carry more red flasks, but is understandable that you think its very bad because judging from the background footage of your videos you seem to treat L2 as your main attack button
Pair It with sacrificial Axe and you would have 6 FP regen per enemy killed, which is pretty good
Though i would say the talisman could be buffed to regen 4-5 FP instead of 3, It should be an upgrade from that axe
Because ashes of war are the main attacks in L2den Ring
@@jajasking9652 you can also buff it with the assasin's cerulien dagger, for a replenish in fp after crit hitting an enemy
I mean it’s Elden ring L2 pretty much is the main attack button
@@twoshu8940 If you treat L2 as your main attack is because you are bad honestly. And it's not even your fault because the game let's you get away with it
In fact this list is pretty accurate...even though I'm a little bias'd about Maliketh's rememberance, because, well...his sword is my favorite weapon in the game. And I wish that Marika's hammer had that holy caboom effect with it's charged heavy attack similar to what ruin's greatsword has.
I wish that Hammer could do two More attacks afterwards like hand of malenia's ashes did. Other than that it is damn good weapon
This is a very good video idea actually!!
finally! I was looking weeks ago and couldn’t find a video like this, so glad you made it 🙏
For some reason Burn O Flame is much more reliable than ADLS to me. I don't have much trouble hitting enemies with it, including small ones, but I have the hardest time aligning the direction of ADLS and a lot of times it only hits once, dealing almost no damage, and it has completely whiffed more times than I would like to admit, while even one pillar of Burn O Flame deals more damage than one hit from a lightning strike and it feels less like I wasted a spell. It only becomes reliable when the enemy is big, and the damage surely is better, but also on the other side Burn O Flame is faster to cast and the ducking your character does when casting it amusingly has you dodging more attacks than it seems it would.
Burn O Flame is an excellent weapon to use against Malenia for reasons you cited. She's weak to fire, the animation has you duck beneath a lot of her attacks and it can launch her into the air. Mix in stance damage and you can make quick work of her.
@@lordtrinen2249my brother tells me that the whip is better than the incantation
Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike's purpose is to deal tons of damage to larger enemies so of course it performs better when it's used in the situation it's meant to be used in. Yes it's a situational spell and yes there are better spells to all round usage, but damn is it good at what it does. You can't blame the formula car for not being able to drive in a dirt road.
@@Silver-Rose I agree. The thing is that Youwy tends to talk about it as if it was more versatile than what it actually is
@@Pastree123the whip is terrible, trust, use the incantation

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else do this.
this would be cool as hell but i feel like there’s be so many arguments over it
but at least we’d agree that tibias summons loses another ranking
Elden Stars, finally S tier
@@mackyer7909 exactly! We all have our opinions. That’s what would make it a fun video.
@@Jay_Tsunami_ i agree and i think everyone is entitled to their own opinions but many people don’t really believe the same, e.g., rusty’s all weapon ranking was nowhere near my opinion but i still enjoyed it but so many people were so mad
I wanna see an all weapons ranking. It will be worth all the effort
Note for grafted dragon, its charged heavy deals about the same as the star fist with 30 poise damage but also comes out just as fast. Even without 2 handing it can break stance like crazy so id definitely say that its better than axe of godrick
its still pretty awful as the damage is just flat out bad. At least axe of godrick has a decent moveset, good charged attack and great hammers can easily posture break as well.
I'd honestly like the Ancestral Spirit's Horn talisman a lot more if it could be acquired much earlier. I like using the sacrificial axe in the off hand for pure caster and the fp regen per kill is very nice in the early game. Shame talisman is locked behind Radhan and by then you probably aren't having FP problems. Even the Blue Dagger Talisman can just serve you better. Sadge.
16 str for the Sacrificial axe is the same 16 str for the Moonlight GS. Win win.
Love how I can watch any of ur videos since I’ve played ever souls like
Wow, a ranking video with the person doing the ranking is actually good at the game. Great video!
Also, i recommend the consecutive atk talismans if you really wanna use radahns swords. The ash procs talismans when in crowds and the standard moveset will start the buffs on the 2nd attack
can you do a ranking of the wetblades / affinites? love from sweden
I will say I built my character around discus of light and at a 3 FP cost it is free to cast with the ancestral spirit horn. Never thought I would use it but I think I found the one scenario it is nice to have lol.
The Ancestral Spirit's Horn is actually really nice for casual exploration as a mage since you'll be using Glintstone Pebble/ SGS to kill normal enemies, which are low cost. Makes flasks and fp go a lot further
Placidusax's Ruin has also the weirdness of not having any spell category, no matter how much it looks like all the dragon communion spells.
And yeah, the Ancestral Horn really deserves a buff
Also a hint for a lot of these, since we're talking about duplication:
If you want two copies of a weapon, you can make sure you grab one early by duplicating the remembrance before initiating NG+. That way you can trade in, say, a second Hand of Malenia or whatever, as soon as you reach the roundtable hold in the next playthrough.
Normally, even if you duplicate a remembrance, you can only get one copy of each reward
You can't use remembrances until you actually collect them in that NG cycle, even if you own it. Duping Malenia's and going into NG+ won't let you get another sword, you'll just have an extra in your pocket until you kill her and then go back to Enia.
@@KaroxNightshade
TL;DR: yes, you can, actually, I just checked
okay, so that sounded strange because I clearly remembered having done that before. As luck would have it, I did have a few characters that has just finished NG and I didn't care for so I tested it out:
Picked up a black blade, duplicated Mali's, started NG+ and bonked Godrick on the head. Traveled to the roundtable and Enya is very much offering me a second black blade of I want... Actually.... I picked it up and I can dual wield them if I want. So, yeah.. Easy dual for NG+ of you've planned ahead
@@VileLasagna Musta been patched at some point then, I dunno. I'll definitely take your word for it though, if you tested.
The difference is in how the power is obtained. All the other Dragon spells are gained by eating dragon hearts. Placid’s Ruin is through his remembrance being transposed into an incantation. It is a dragon spell but it doesn’t require dragon hearts for access to its power hence the lack of an arcane stat.
@@simonealcazar816 Yeah, it DOES make sense in that sense but it just ends up'a bit sad that it can't be boosted. It's fun but super jank as it is and could use the help
Hi youwy i love your content keep it up also can you do the same but with ds3 boss souls
9:02 the Academy Glintstone Staff is stronger until you hit 69int.
Surprised this one didn’t get done a lot sooner
Build matters too, if you are doing arcane morgots sword and both mohg items are kinda worth, pick what your build can handle
I recall acquiring two spells and a staff; most of the weapons, I lacked the strength attribute to wield
some rememberances im going to duplicate because i dont want to fight the boss again in ng+ (melania's remberance)
The horn talisman isnt for spellcasting, like you said the regen is terrible. Its more for ashes of war while exploring.
If im just wandering through a level i use it and the cameo on melee setups for more comfortable exploration.
So far, I ate Godrick's remembrance, duplicated Rennala's for both rewards and traded in Morgott's and Radahn's for their swords, neither of which I have the stats for but maybe I'll respec sometime or just pump up everything once I have my relevant stats where I want them.
When looking at spells, you need to consider how they interact with other spells, not just how they work on their own. The Full Moon and Dark Moon stack with eachother, Rykard's rancor having a delay means you can throw it out and then start throwing other spells to add more pressure than if you only used one spell. The fact that it explodes several times also means that it realistically could hit twice. Placidusax's ruin... Okay that one does kinda struggle to have a use. It's a good wog I guess, from just activating it, but the way it flails around means you either want a large enemy or a large group of enemies.
I've only redeemed Godricks rune once. I ran the dragon on my godslayer build. I like that offhanding the dragon still gives access to its skill. That's about the only good thing I have to say about it
I did a dual greataxe build with swords dance crescent main hand and godricks axe off hand for the aoe. Its a pretty fun weapon. But then again,i love me some greataxes.
It actually does great damage so there’s another thing.
@@Aiden-Ed when it actually hits something, sometimes
Regal Omen Bairn gets a pretty crazy buff in damage from Last Rites (the +25 Holy damage applies to each projectile), but the FP cost and cast time makes it low-tier no matter what. Might as well use Elden Stars which has more projectiles (though the main explosion is trashed in PvE for some reason... sometimes doesn't detect either of the two explosion hit boxes)
the best remembrance is the tarnished remembrance because its basically an infinite rune source
19:40 golem’s greatbow is a somber weapon.
I think the winged greathorn is getting undersold. May not do great damage early or mid game but late game and ng+ it does very nicely. And it’s actually a 15% damage debuff for a whole minute for 12 or 9 fp with carian filigreed. For reference, one of the apparent best buffs in the game; fgms only buffs by 20% in physical and fire for only 30 seconds for 28 fp. Soul stifler is better than shriek of Milos and knowledge above all for sure. Only thing better than it is greyolls roar but that’s for a separate kind of build.
Edit: I am using fgms as an example to show how efficient of a debuff soul stifler is, and competes with the efficacy of fgms itself.
Edit 2: greyolls roar might not be as good because it’s 50 fp for a 10% debuff and 15% attack power debuff on enemies for a minute.
Cheers just the video I wanted
For me the best is Rykaard's for the Blasphemous blade and Elden for the Sacred Relic Sword ( grinding runes )......best weapon of all Darkmoon Great Sword
Giants Red Braid being bad is such a controversial take for me, it’s genuinely a VERY a good whip. Sure, no ripostes or parries, but its range and damage make up for it HEAVILY
Ancestral spirit horn stacks with the sacrificial axe so you get 7 FP per kill which isn’t bad for faith melee builds outside bosses of course
I actually like to duplicate fortissax and regal ancestor remembrance, not because they give amazing rewards, but killing them is so out of the way that i dont want to repeat the journey
Placidusax's ruin gets some ridiculous damage when optimised and free-aimed. Renallas items have amazing synergy
The magic pulses of waves of darkness don’t activate cold, only the weapon hit box does.
lion greatbow is great for large bosses and dragins FYI. especially elden beast
They really need to add the rune scaling in ng to rememberances. I remember I used one of them expecting to get at least enough for a level, but only got 50,000 runnes.
When you said Marika’s hammer is you favorite weapon, I had to follow lol.
NPC tier list could work :) can’t wait to see you murder the DLC
8:30 placidusax roar true combos with some incantations, the main one being radagons rings of light. You can do a combo where you use stone of gurranq, roll catch with radagon's ring of light to plucidax's ruin, and it will 1 hit almost all tarnished. Thats more of a pvp thing, and you seem to be a pve guy, but it does give placidux ruin a little more than just a long animation for boss fights (which I don't care, it's so fucking cool. Some times, you gotta live by the rule of cool, even if its not optimal lol).
Greyolls roar into placi true combo if they are close enough, with the debuff from the first and damage into placi ruin is great against gankers and what not
@@jayquickscope4446 oh really? That sounds great for my dragon mage build. Thanks for the tip!
Placidussax ruin in a combo sounds like a cheese
10:12 he whiffed all of that😂
Ranking remembrances by how much you'd want to duplicate them is a strange thing to do in the first place as the build you're running/going for is what determines how useful duplicating one would be.
The only ones worth duplicating are :
Renala, both fit a sorcery build.
Radahn, both items scale similarly and work well together (1 ranged, 1 melee).
Maliketh, both are good for a melee faith build.
Fortissax, two incantations. One is kinda useless unless you want to PvP, but you can afford to duplicate just for variety's sake. I know I did in my lighning incantation run.
Elden Beast is a big maybe since both are melee weapons and one is clearly superior to the other. But they do work in the same type of build. It's, like Fortissax's remembrance, but you trade equipment load instead of spell slots for some variety.
It doesn't mean the other remembrances are worthless, there is simply no point in duplicating them.
Look at Malenia's remembrance for instance. You'd have to be running some Elon Musk-like build to even be able to use both rewards. 16 strength, 48 dex and 35 faith is a strange stat distribution to say the least.
Now, it's only 10 more faith from Golden Vow (assuming you don't use the AOW version) and 2 more from Howl of Shabriri. But if you're stacking that many buffs, you're probably going for some one-hit kill build and you'd be better off going for strength with some colossal weapon instead of Malenia's sword.
And even then, why would you even use Scarlet Aeonia for? The main use is its jacked up scarlet rot, a 90 second DoT.
Bro roasted the entire whip bloodline💀
I always forget to cash these in. There's actually very few of the rewards I like, and the ones I like you get at the very end of the game.
The death lighting is just for cheeky death blight builds. And even those aren't very good lol
You deserve my sub, sir. I now understand. You are clear in explaining the remembrances, so for that, I thank you. I like a lot of your other videos, too. Nice work!
6:51The SACRIFICIAL AXE gives you 4 fp, and doesn't take a talisman slot, and you can get it very early on, and you can just second-hand it.
It's still not good, but way better than a rememberance talisman.
21:37 His name is the Black Blade, his weapon is the Black Blade, his spell is the Black Blade! Are there any other items in his repertoire that’s called the Black Fucking Blade?!
Rannis dark moon also blocks incoming magic damage too
tip:if you want to stay in NG but want every remembrance item, you could prioritize every remembrance spell/incantation. then a friend can drop you the regular weapons.
Hopefully there will be new remembrances in the DLC
Youwy the goat
Carian regal scepter is good but princes staff of death is better than any staff by a massive amount, very late game item but it's stupidly strong with comet
Spirit horn should really be a percentage as well as flat recovery
Shame that a lot of ER is so extremely unbalanced
Bro is one step away from sounding like the nerd emoji
If this list was counting pvp and/or coop then Placidusax's remembrance would probably be top 4 as placi's ruin is HARD meta in pvp, the explosion at the beginning is unreactable and is straight up broken, and the sword is kinda good for pvp I guess, you can do some disgusting things with its weapon skill if the enemy has high commitment weapons like great swords, also the fp talisman is a godsend for cooperators
The Fire Giant's remembrance is a let down. He carries a huge plate and smashes you with it. That could have been a shield that you could jump up and smash people with for its ash of war.
Yeah.
Getting a terrible whip, or the terrible Chaos Storm that Fromsoft has never gotten to work, instead of his shield or like, Chaos Bed Vestiges was sad. Poor guy. I'm already forgetting who he was.
Who were we talking about?
Whose gonna tell him that golem greatbow requires sombers just like lions greatbow
After the pvp poise changes I believe the giants red brain aow stun locks players in pvp now, so it does have its uses as a get off me tool
I hate myself i thought use meant get the weapon when i tried to use the starcourge remembrance 💀
whips are good though (especially for pvp)
Its a PVE list of which they are the worst weapon class
spirit horn is goated for co-op
disagree the regal omen bairn is great for glitching enemies in the overworld. try it on the bird at the mohg ledge it always hits
Rykard's rancor is the single most underrated spell in the game; it's your fault to try to use it only as a projectile because it's not, it's true purpose is to be a highly versatile setup spell, you can cover your approach with it and start your offense, you can combo it into another spells, you can stay behind their explosions to cover as a defensive tool and make an opportunity to heal and when you start looking at it like that you'll notice that it's two slots cost despite it's low damage is perfectly balanced
drinking game: take a shot everytime youwy says like in the video
I only use sacred relic sword to make a genocid on albanurics
bo grafted dragon has such op stance damage. Just try spamming the charged heavies.
it gets the same stance damage as all other fist weapons but those are better because you can 2 hand them. Go use the iron balls or star fist and spam heavies it works way better
@@youwy yeah but one hand fist weapons have very fast charged heavies
I cannot believe that you put the Elden beast above Morgot
Did you say the remembrance of the lick dragon?
Stone ranking next?
Dude, the GIant's red braid has the same Poise break as an ULTRA GREATSWORD... in other words a stagger value of 2, unlike most other no greatsword weapons... the fact that it is rather light is useful, and one thing you probably didn't do was experiment, the whips are power stance tools... that and they are off hand tools cause in off hand a charge attack regardless of what SHOULD be the block stamina consumed, will break shield stances so charge attack into Flame dance, boom almost as damaging as Malenia's waterfowl while dealing fire damage and staggering enemies in its radius with the option to que it up... it is a monster of a tool... granted I could never get PVP working so you might just be using PVP values for things...
I thought you couldn’t proc rot on Radagon 🤯
Wait why wouldn’t Godfrey icon affect cragblade? It’s literally a chargeable skill
Is it though? Pretty sure pressing l2 at all and holding it down do the same thing with cragblade don’t they?
Wait I can consume them for runes?
Gotta love how fromsoft made a giant ass mob that's really annoying to take down used to duplicate boss souls when they could have brought back bonfire ascetics
I like both solutions but bonfire ascetics is a whole excellent thing by itself
Lol but how do you really feel about whips?
are buffs bad because they dont do damage to?
Day 31 of very rough masterbation in protest to the long wait for the dlc. Fromsoft, you could stop this today!
Furiously polished, I’d say.
Then there are those who want two of every maxed weapon...
not my dumbass hearing America’s hammer 💀
Rykard's and Mohg's should be higher, their weapons are great and dual wielding them would be funny
Our boy hasn't taken the winged GH pill
I know, both of those rewards are super useful. Great axes are one of the best weapon types in the game, and this one gets a debuff. And for the talisman, there are soooo many mobs that die in 1-2 hits, it really adds up when you are trying to run a sustain-build for your first blind play through.
I'mma just say.
The winged greathorn debuff doesn't stack with Greyoll's Roar. It is also smaller than the debuff from Greyoll's Roar. Greyoll's Roar also debuffs enemy offenses on top of it. Greyoll's Roar also does more damage, goes through walls, usually knocks things over, is great for invisible enemies since the debuff is visible even if they aren't.
Greyoll's Roar is nice. You should use it.
@@aprinnyonbreak1290 Greyoll’s Roar is also an incantation that requires 28 faith and 17 arcane. Completely different niches that they are occupying when compared to a melee weapon.
Obviously spell is better than the secondary effect of a great axe. I would hope that would be the case. Even without the debuff, Great Axes are fantastic weapons in their own right and the fact the WGH is able to apply a debuff is a nice bonus. Whereas Greyoll’s Roar is a roar.
Also, it isn’t even a remembrance. Where is this comparison coming from?? 😂
@@aprinnyonbreak1290apparently that’s not even true about having a higher debuff when it comes to enemy defense. Greyolls roar is 10% less defense on enemies for a minute but the winged greathorn is 15% for a minute. The only thing greyolls roar has over soul stifler is that enemies have 15% less attack power and the aoe. But for 50 fp it’s not that good compared to 12 or even 9 with carian filigreed soul stifler (the primordial crystal thing uses way too much health for decreasing spell cost as well imo).
Unless the moon scepter got a nerf, its Spinning Weapon is special, massively superior to the normal ash, and can outright stunlock Malenia. No kidding.
Sad that all the good holy weapons are in the end game, maybe they were designed for NG+
Bro went way too harsh on death lightning 😂 It's hard to hit with but it hits like a truck and doesen't lock you up in animation for so long 😁
Souls fans are gonna be asking for good passive fp regen until the stars die out and fromsoftware is never gonna give it to them.
They did fp bars 3 times, and the only time where the regen was passably good was in demon's souls, you know, their first attempt at souls.
They don't want you to have permmanent passive regen, if they did it would be really easy to make it happen, considering how every mod does it. They want you to have to spend something to refill it by either sacrificing red flask charges or spending non replenishable cpnsumables.
At best they might add a crystal tear that regens fp for 3 minutes in dlc, but I wouldn't hold my breath about it.
Renalla 7 with the best scepter and Rykard 6 with the best Sword lol
Blue Drinking Raani Simps rage hearing Ancestral Horn being called useless
