- In this elden ring video I'm testing if any of the strongest bosses in elden ring can survive an ecounter with the mother of all dragons.
To test this I had to adjust Greyoll to be able to fight with the standard dragon moveset by increasing the size of her hitboxes and bullets in order
to make them work for her size.

It brings me immense peace knowing the only boss to beat Greyoll was Placidusax in his own boss room. A heavily nerfed Placi at that.

But then placi showed us that he could still ruin greyoll's dragussy, even when he's already old and past his prime

Rick was by far the greatest underdog, i was rooting for him the whole time as he tanked those hits like a CHAMP
That fight had me on the edge of my seat. Even tho he was ultimately defeated, Rick put up one hell of a fight and I felt genuinely proud by the end haha.

Bow Radahn is kind of a beast. Had he not changed to melee weapons halfway through the fight I think he could’ve won it.
Would’ve been boring if he just kept spamming ranged attacks tho

Watching Gideon fight her was insane, he's the same size as a player so it gives a real sense of scale, and he does surprisingly well because he fights a fair bit like a player too
The biggest issue here is Greyoll's roar, if it wasn't for it seemingly being a "global" hitbox, it's quite possible that players could slaye her using the good ol bloodflame blade bleed weapon buildss since timing the dragon stomp dodges isn't all that bad, the only real issue being that breath underneath herself attack, that'd be a biiiiig issue aswell as the potential mobility issues considering her flying away or flight high up stomp in the ground attack

This shows that we are lucky to find these beings far from their peak, imagine what it would be like to face greyoll, placidusax and gransax ☠️
Yeah.. However this does not really matter because it is in a videogame. Malenia is also not at her peak but saying this while she is the hardest boss they have ever made.
If they are not at peak level, FromSoft surely is.

@@elias.t indeed, that hat was a recurring thing this video, Maliketh with the destined death hax and the overinflated stat lump that is Rick aside, the only things that did more than tickle Greyoll were the moves with multiple widespread hitboxes that she is so huge she catches all of- that hit from the fire giant, Placidusax's Ruin, Rykards Rancor, and Astel's Meteor specifically

i just love that Greyoll avoided so many high damage attacks by just being too tall for it reach. Never expected comet, and radagons lighting bolts to have length issues.

Can't wait to see a Gransax vs all bosses video now. Could be possible by scaling up Lansseax by an absolute ton, lol.
Hopefully he has a custom moveset combining the first Farum Azula dragon with his bolt of gransax
@@jackhyde1488 that's probably out of the realm of possibility for modding right now, unfortunately. So far, all the mods I've seen reuse attack animations from other weapons and enemies. There's no other dragon with a held weapon like that with more than like, two attacks (Fortissax and Lansseax in their signature attacks) to make a moveset out of.

Gransax is Lansseax but 9 times bigger. I want to see him with Placidusax's scaling and all Ancient Dragon powers. That would be absolutely incredible!

I find it really funny that Malenia had basically the same problem any player would have because of her range. Massive bosses are definitely the ones that give me the most trouble between the camera and the distance they can cover.

Funny how Malenia and Maliketh were literary the ones that had the most potential to win this fight.. malenia had to land a single good Aeonia bloom and she would've halfed the dragon's health.. then do another one.. that's literary how I cleared NG+.. 2 Aeonia hits on a boss is enough.. let the scarlet rot kill the enemy.. Maliketh is self explanatory.. he almost defeated her

In a lot of ways, Greyoll is a tragic character: the old dragons are supposed to be majestic, awe (and fear) inspiring beasts, a force of nature, and you find her barely able to even move, her body probably collapsing under its own weight, resigned in her fate to slowly die and can only hope that her offspring with stay with her until the end. Seeing her in her prime, a colossus whose very roar shatters your will to fight and rallies her kindred to her, this is what you'd expect of the Mother of All Dragons.... it's freakin' awesome.

Rick fight must be the most epic. He engaged with no fear, gimmick or fancy magical, just with his sword and bravery.
really makes you appreciate the size of greyoll in comparison to the bosses that seem so huge when the player fights them
That was a awesome and terrifying spectacle. Mama Greyroll, grumpy and sleep deprived, raising her voice, putting her foot down, ending almost everybody.
But when Daddy Placidusax takes things seriously, he beats her down like she was a domestic abuse victim.

Despite the range issue. When she was in attack range, she wasted it by slowly pacing menacingly instead of attacking. Seems her AI is bad for a massive boss like this one.

To be fair, she decided to intimidate walk to greyoll's feet. If she decided to run, she would have landed more blows lol.

So many awesome moments in this one - Greyoll just shouting Godrick down, Horah Loux and Greyoll stomping at the exact same time, Greyoll blasting her flames straight down on Eldin beast while it was leaping into the air, Fire Giant using it's fire ball blast while Greyoll was right above him... so good

@@zilkay6558 He won't even need his pillars, the three projectiles he finishes with a spin attack will be enough to destroy the huge dragon. Her huge body will be against her.
Maliketh got close even with some really bad attack options. If he had done his jump projectile move 1 more time he could have won

I really like how Greyoll has custom attacks to show how big the mother of dragons is, i like to imagine Grandsax would be similar but with lightning attacks

Despite not fighting, or even seeing him alive, we know this is true in the lore. The Bolt of Gransax we use is a massively downsized version of Gransax's actual weapon- That beast didn't just have unique attacks, but a full-on weapon for himself to wield.

I feel that the fight against the fire giant is very similar compared to a fight of a common tarnished against any of the common dragons

Dayum, this is one of the rare times I see Malenia at an absolute disadvantage. Even Maliketh, Godfrey and Mohg did way better than her this time around. And Placi shows why he rules above all dragons

Apart from Scarlet Aeonia, Malenia doesn’t have any effective long range attacks or AOES….she was gonna get stomped… literally 😂
maleketh would have won with the ai he had every time I fought him. he did that stupid astral death blade shot like 37 times until i almost no hit his butt

It's a stagger fest. The mobs will stomp with any 10-15 individuals, 1vX is brutal.
@@glatykoffi6672 there are several videos on Mob(20 plus) vs Boss. Bosses with large area damage came out on top almost every time.
She reminds me of the Inheritance Cycle and how insane those dragons could get, and to be mentally and magically bonded to it…none of your enemies would stand a chance

I’ve seen what turning Greyoll into an actual enemy does to your game, and the breakage is insane. No idea how you got this to work. Props all to you man, would love to see it on nexus as an optional boss.

I love how at the beginning of the Astel fight (7:15), the perspective makes it seem like Astel is actually relatively close in size. But then at 7:30, you see that nope, it's still a tiny mosquito to Greyoll lmao.
Fire giant sees a big beast he can actually fight face to face. Atracks its feet. Burning one of his own off for power. Truly a Miyazaki experience

I wish Rykard's storm and the golem's lasers had kicked off/landed, it would have been very interesting to see what they could have done to such a creature!

Suggestion: Can ANY boss beat Gideon with super-armor? Since it seems the main thing holding him back is being constantly prevented from doing anything by his foe’s attacks.
The real problem is that he's dumb af. The mage has a depth perception problem along with a different conception of casting times.
I just see him laser beam killing most bosses if they can't knock him out of it. That spell does tons of damage, and Gideon does have alot of health. Most bosses won't get out of the way so I can definitely just see him lasering down bosses that don't jump around alot.
They need to make sure he has his full movement MINUS the trashy rot flower incantation. He loves spamming that if he has it.
Are there any moves in the gamefiles for greyoll, i meam if its like a cut boss. Or u just gave her the moves of a regular dragon?

Seeing how even, The biggest bosses in Elden Ring are children to Greyoll. Is just astonishing to say the least.
Honestly, watching Rick fight her reminds me of whenever I try fighting ancient wyvern up close in DS3.
Props on Rennala for being the first to manage to stagger big mama, she never get wins in these but that's to at least be applauded
The only problem is that Greyoll has a huge leverage at the start of all encounters... would be more fair if they started the match within the attack range of both... otherwise, most bosses are just walking while receiving damage from Greyoll...
Problem there is that by the time most of them are in range to attack her, she can't hit them reliably.
Why would a dragon that size give up any range advantage in a fight? I don't see the problem here

I don't wish for an actual boss fight for exactly the reason you listed.
If you can ever get Gransax to fight the entire lands between would crumble
It won't be possible with the actual Gransax you see in the game since he's just an object, but modders can scale up the size of enemies instead. For this, scaling up one of the other ancient dragons up to his colossal size should do the trick.

@@sebastianestrada3697 I did consider that but there's the invisible wall that you eventually run into, and while the arena seems big, Gransax is bigger than big, he's fucking huge
you did very well with this monster and gave life to the "what if" scenario, the roar is very fitting because if there was a creature of this size it's roar would shatter eardrums of people kilometers away and kill most of those close to it in a very nasty way, it seems too fast however maybe it needs to be slower so it can mimick the physics of gargantuan entities seemingly going in slow motion while having tremendous power of inertia in their movements

This could totally be a sort of raid boss, the hitboxes and damage would need a bit of polishing. You could get with Garden of Eyes and possibly turn it into something promising.

Next you should have all bosses vs Greyoll as she appears in the game (fused to the ground, surrounded by her children)
This dragon has animations.... So there must be more about it than just an easy farm! Impressive video.
I like the headcanon of Rennala at full power being capable of knocking down Greyoll if Greyoll were at full power. The two super-moms.
Although his arena is too small for Greyoll, Maliketh would probably win if he were in his own arena. Maliketh doesnt have access to his destined death flying sword slash while in placidusax's arena.
But in his arena he starts as Beast Clergy so he only has half hp there. So one stomp would 1 shot him in phase 2.

He removed 1/4 of her health in just three hits and without losing much hp even though his AI was so bad and passive, he was walking half the time literally.
In the end when he finally started fighting better he almost killed her without using one of his combos even once. So, if he had his full moveset, he would probably destroy her using only one of the three Black Blades projectiles due to her huge size.
@@Toot7. The pillars won't help Maliketh as all he can do from the pillars is attack downwards which is useless against Greyoll who likes to fly upwards and come crashing down. In fact in a smaller arena like Maliketh's arena, Greyoll won't miss the air stomp so easily, she'll always hit Maliketh. And Greyoll's air stomp deals over 3000 damage 29:23

(considering that he removed 3/4 of her health with his so damn bad AI) If Maliketh got a rematch in this video with better AI and had access to his combos, the results probably wouldn't be the same even if he started with half HP and even if he didn't have the pillars.

Maliketh's AI in his arena is no different than outside his arena, only thing is in his arena he can jump onto the pillars and attack downwards which I've already said is useless against a boss that stands far above those pillars. And even in his arena Maliketh doesn't always use the pillars.
And as I've said, in a smaller arena Greyoll will be able to land her flying attack more often. Here she missed two flying stomps against Maliketh at 27:25 and 28:06. The reason she misses is bc she lands way too far from the target, but in a small arena she would land on top Maliketh everytime and crush him with ease.

And yet, even after all that, Placidusax remains the true Dragonlord.

Holy shit, are we not gonna talk about how perfect the movesets matched up in the Laser Golem fight.
The Golem summoning its lasers and at that moment Greyoll does her flight attack, getting just out of range of the lasers as she hovers in the air. Beautiful.
I think increasing its fire's size and range to appropriate dimensions would be a great idea too. Hope modders do that eventually.
Ooh that was good. Placi laser being great on top of being cool. Love it. I was hoping for maliketh to do his triple projectile followed by dash slash combo. And fire giant’s volcano was also amazing. That is why faith builds are so cool. I only hope we can continuously cast placidusax breath like we can comet azur
the issue is in hos you can't properly aim the laser.

I like how the Fire Giant is kinda cute from this perspective when rolling around and when he reaches second phase it looks like he's posing for a photo with Greyoll when he does his elbow drop into 'draw me like one of your Finger Maidens' stance.
Our boi was really channelling the power of Hawkeye Gough, I was really rooting for him but Greyoll was surprisingly quick with those tail sweeps
