Always wondered if i should measure temp with the heatgun actually not pointed on the vinyl. I think if you point the measure tool at the heatgun's blow it will throw out the numbers and it will not show how hot the actual surface of the vinyl is
The heating of the vinyl is done wrong. Heat the vinyl en measure the temp when you are not blowing on it whit your heatgun. He’s measuring the warmth that his heatgun is blowing in the tutorial
Chris Cork heat is used to soften vinyl so it stretches easier and also used to shrink back to original shape. When you use heat you have a greater chance of over stretching. The most important time is to post heat the entire car.

just wrap your squeegee in a microfiber towel so it's thick but thinner than your finger and go over the area and save yourself some money.

NO. Vinyl is somewhat pourus and metals - metals need to be topcoated prior.

Look up impact outlines, you'll get a cd with all the vehicles in eps, ai, cdl etc and also a reference book
but it is not supposed that before rolling it must pass 24 hours because the ink still does not expel all the solvents
