I like how you cut the waste so that it's easier to manage during weeding. I only have a crafting cutter, a Sizzix Eclips. In my design I generally add lines that the cutter cuts for me instead of doing what you did with the scissors. I'm considering designing my own livery for my Miata. Your video was helpful.

I do that too, but only to help weed out the complicated large graphics. If it's multiple lines of text, drawing lines on the computer takes too much time compared to doing it with a knife before weeding.

Looks class! Appreciate th effort gone into showing step by step and explaining it. I just bought a Cricut cutter and I'm learning my way around KriIta/Adobe drawing/design software. I want to make coloured (fades etc) then use the Cricut to cut the design to size for motorbike decals for my bike. Idk how I'm gonna get a fade with vibrant colours like that at home. Doesn't help a lot of materials aren't available here or to non trade haha

This was really in depth, thanks! Does it get a little trickier when the dimensions of the wrap are more than the actual printer, so you'd have to do it in parts?
hi I'm a graphic designer, I wanted to know, the document that is to be made with Illustrator must be on a real scale or not? Can I work on a smaller size to lighten the document? there will be no problem for the printer?
Hello there, Illustrator only has a small artboard, so I generally work in 10% scale. i.e. vehicle height is 2metres, or so, It will be in illustrator as 200mm tall. Then when you send your artwork to print, You scale it up in the RIP software, " Just ad a 0" to scale up to 100% reality size :0) Hope that helps

Hello FiFi, That colour was printed onto white and then laminated with a clear layer of self adhesive laminate to protect from washing etc, UV from sun etc etc :D hope that helps

Everyones price varies, so I cant really say, but rule of thumb is double material costs for 50% margin, and then calculate your time and charge accordingly. Then ad a small amount for profit at the end, :0)
Not at all.. So long as you set your artwork up with bleed when going around edges and keep your text away from edge of panels, you can always move the graphics around then on site to suit :0)

Absolutely.. You just need to work out where your overlaps will be etc and make sure you print the correct scale. :0)

That printer was a vp540 prints 54" wide or 1370mm, my new printer is a VS 640, prints 64" wide :0)
