I carried one of the old Gerber multipliers with the blunt pliers in the 90s. I used to love the slide OTF pliers. I need to dig that thing out and to give to my son when it's time.
Hi, I've been looking these Gerbers for some time, but never got one and my wife won't be happy. I've promised her no more multitools😁😁. But from what I see, everybody who has one is very happy. Thank you for mentioning my channel and my experience, not many people are aware or believe a manufacturer will fix or replace an item for free without any hustle. Drinking game, three drinks whenever he says pretty nice, two for fairly nice and one for nice. If you're lightweights reverse the order. This works in every video he uploads. So it is a pretty nice 🍸 game
I think the quality of the made in USA Gerbers - MP series including Diesel - is as good as Leatherman. Although I don't like the shape of the knife blades on the MP series, including the Diesel. However it's no difference to me personally as I have the MP600 bladeless, which I can EDC in the UK where we're not even allowed to carry multitools if they have a locking blade.
Glad to hear that the Gerber MP600 has done well for you. Just wondering can you carry the original Gerber MPT or the MR. Pinchy version that have non locking knives?
Had a Gerber Diesel and chipped the cutters, filed them down and sold it. It's a piece of junk. Gerber mp600 and mp400 and mp450 are way better multi tools. I wouldn't buy another Diesel if it was $5 . It's a piece of junk. Makes a good paper weight. 😅😅😅😅
@Hvac Budget - Yeah but the Diesel has soft wire cutters. There's no sense in sending something back if it's going to keep breaking on ya. That's why I sold mine.
@Hvac Budget - Gerber does make some good multi tools though like the mp600 mp400 and mp450. The dime isn't bad either. I would like to get the Gerber Truss later on and see how it performs. The Suspension is ok the only thing on it I don't like is the saw, it's to thick and it binds up to much to easy but everything else on it isn't bad.

It doesn't. You can use the adhesive Niteize clip mod or usually a more standard pocket clip can be modded to wedge in under the tool pivot screw.
