I'm really digging some of these designs this set. I love when cards are informed by the Pokémon's design rather than just being arbitrary numbers. For instance, Luxray, the gleam eyes Pokémon, has X-ray vision. In Legends Arceus, if you sneak up on one in tall grass, his head tracks your position even though you're stealthed. That translates perfectly to an attack that follows the target to the bench. Also, the zero retreat cost gives Volt Switch vibes. Great design. About the Shinx ability vs. Vulpix: Unfortunately, Vulpix is a debuff, and therefore is "healed" by evolution or retreat, so half the time it doesn't actually help in keeping Vulpix alive. But Shinx is a self shield, so even if they switch out to a fully powered Mewtwo, you're good. Lol.
Running this on tour but with Rocky Helmets (still 1 cape), only 1 electrivire (luxray usually carries more) and the 2 electrabuzz from Mythical Island for that double snipe tech (40 from buzz + 120 from ray clears most of the meta, even when they get capes)
i love luxray, and actually brought it to the hoogland/spragels tournament yesterday. really hoping i can get some copies of pokemon communication so that I can get luxray online more consistently. most of the matches I lost were because I didn't draw luxray in time, so improving that consistency is key.
Can you try my 6 winstreak Luxray deck? Electivire kinda ass for me Decklist: Pokémon: 11 2 Magnemite 2 Magneton 2 Shinx 2 Luxray 2 Luxio 1 Mew ex Trainer: 9 2 Dawn 2 Professor's Research 2 Poké Ball 2 Volkner 1 Rocky Helmet It can ramp Mew/Luxray fast. Rocky helmet good against 140/130 hp Pokemon. Feel free to replace some cards. You can also try new Electrode replace Magneton line and replace Dawn with Cyrus 120+50 to a Bulky Pokemon Thanks for the daily videos :)
This is a really cool deck but id like to see some more sample size.. BOTH games your opponents opened/drew HORRIBLY, game 1 you had type advantage on top of it, so guaranteed win, but game 2, if he wouldve opened Dialga or anything but Heatran, you wouldve been smoked(and wouldnt have had 10 turns to play with your energy lol)..
Yooo you really work fast there dude!!! These are literally my 2 favourite electric pokemon and I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's running this build!! Amazing build dude keep up the good work!!👍
Don't know if I pulled any Luxray yet. I got that Full Art Shinx though. Diamond was my first Pokemon game, so I had a Luxray in my first team. I remember doing the the final run, and got to Cynthia and She destroyed Me. It actually had that much of an impact on my time with Pokemon, that the stuff She used in Her team, ended up being Pokemon I would go after (Milotic, Garchomp, etc) This was the only time I ever lost to a last a boss in these games, but I feel this might happen to a lot of first time players. The Champion is usually a much harder fight than what you've been used to, and if you aren't actually building to counter them, you're gonna have a rough time. It's crazy, really. For a game I'd dismissed as being for Children, right up until that generation, it's an incredibly in depth system, especially when you are playing Human trainers. Then when you factor in the breeding to get the right moves/trait, etc. Then training the stats and stuff, there's a lot goes into it.
Question. Around 20 min mark. Alternative was luxray attack magnemite. Get 2nd point then next turn kill drudigon on bench for 3rd point. Basically skipping all walls like against regigias and melmetal.
This is a really solid list and it's consistent. Being able to just crash out 120 damage to ANYTHING on board, pivot for free, and Drop Pile ramp support through Volkner; ⚡️CLEAN⚡️W Vid Xatumi
Personally the way this deck plays around with energy I use at least one copy of dawn as well it turns the big swings online turn 2-3 even through bad openers
i love your vids, i just wish you cut some clips where you are waiting for your opponent to make a move or you just thinking for a long time. So we can watch more matches in just 20 mins
I didn’t get any Electivire cards, and that kinda bummed me out. However, the upcoming Crescila EX event has Electivire as a drop! Let’s go!!! John Nintendo is my father and he told me I got you fam!!!
I play the same but with raichu and magneton/magnezone since i still don't have luxrays and electivires, and surge instead of volkner very fun to play, hope I can complete this deck soon
Yeah I'm missing both Luxray and one Electivire. I am opening Dialga packs though, so any day now, ha ha. Very much would love to play this deck, as Luxray was on my OG team, as Diamond was my first Game.
1:30 or or or... hear me out... Electivire magnezone. Charge with electabuzz turn 1 (2 energy), evolve magneton backline and dawn 1 electro energy (4 energy electivire). This lets you attack 2nd turn going second with electivire for 120 with dawn but also lets you hit for 40 2nd turn going first. Only problem is you can only run magnezone and electivire since thats like 10 pokemon alrdy, and then you prob dont have space for volkner. But tbh im not a fan of volkner unless it's with luxray. Oh and you get hard countered by aggro fighting.
You were waiting to see how the one trainer that mentions Luxray and Electivire by name makes sense in a Luxray and Electivire deck? Yeah man I was on the fence about Blaine in Rapidash and Ninetails decks too until it finally clicked for me. Sure hope Cynthia works out for cards like Garchomp and Togekiss too.
@@TobehI didn't read luxray attack description at first. I thought volkner would only be able to get the energies from your ko'd active zone electric types but I now see luxray discards energies after its attack and you can feed them back to luxray or electivire
This works because of Volkner, but I don't think it's better than Pikax2 Zapx1 and maybe one extra mon like Buzz. Try it Lux x2 Pika x2 Zap x1 Buzz x1 Ball x2 Oak x2 Dawn x2 Comm x2 Volk x2 .... Pika frontliner pushing 30-90.. any retreat feeds discarded energy pile with dawn or volk bringing online pika or lux depending who is going in and how far into the game you are.. but generally it's a pika deck with lux clean up
i knew luxray volkner combo was going to be broken but no one was singing it's praises so i was hoping it'd slide under the radar for a bit. now that the video is out everyone's going to be running it.
Might be worth it in these decks with only two Pokémon lines, since you rely pretty heavily on building them in the active spot rather than with a Wall. If you have a wall or damage soaker, you probably don't want cape unless it makes your carry survive a relevant one shot. I think a 1-of cape is strictly better than Potion, though, so if you run potions in any deck, you can replace one or supplement with a cape.
It's just added value for random blowouts since you're already running Volkner. There's also a lot of value in not running any EX, as you can't get blown out by Cyrus or something.
I'm so pissed they have fkn Glameow a 1 star variant but didn't give ma boi Luxray a 1 star variant.... Despite that the 3 ♦️ variant itself looks cool 🗿
Similar to Brock ltsurge Cynthia volkner and budding. It only works if you're building a deck around the pokemon it works with... issue with that card is that it's basically a very specific pokeball. Which, yes makes it very useless lol
unfortunately it’s kinda bad cause all of the mons it pulls are weak rn. dark decks have way better options so it’s pointless especially since darkrai/weavile is leading the meta
@@chikenlesurvivant8157 got Mars full art. It may be better than the grunts but i think in 9/10 cases you need the card slot for something better or more efficent

Take off the cap
No cap
Take what you're saying, and apply it to Ash Ketchum. Would you still say the same thing?
@@sonicvortechx😂😂
I think in the first match you could have attacked the artichoke in the back and one hitter it.
weakness advantage doesn't count if it's in the bench
Finally that's the Video I was waiting for
adding zebstrika could help since the 30 damage can be used to pick off dialga and palkia after a 120 from luxray or vice versa
Tat sound great
That first game couldn’t have been more perfect

I took inspiration from your Porygon deck. Playing only Porygons and Dialgas helps combat the Darkrai issue
So far im enjoying the non so meta decks like garchomp, togekiss, lucario etc. Might add this! This is spicy
So good to see this deck work against the Darkrai Magnezone meta.

1 Mew ex

I’ve been running electivire and richu to help dump energy and move energy with lt surge. I’m still trying to pull the luxray line
For me, it's the other way around. I don't have any Electivire, so I play Luxray with Pikachu and Pachirisu. That works better than I thought.

Would like to see more matches with this deck
This Luxray deck reminds me of the old Raikou Eels deck from way back. Same move but Eelectrik was crazy for the engine.
Was playing with Luxray when you posted this, been trying to make it work with electabuzz and pachi since I don’t have electivire😭
I’ve been running this for the past couple days I’ve found zapdos to be really successful in here

how much money do you have to spaend to get hold if so many of the new cards this quickly?
I mean including for all the other videos you have too.
@5:30 you should have hit arcticuno and won. Didn’t need Giovanni
Lol no. Weakness doesn't activate for benched pokemon. His play was correct
Maybe add raichu and LT surge so you can move electrobuzz's energy to blast another 140 again
That's doubly good because Lt. Surge can help ramp Electabuzz before you evolve it!
is there a good deck for team galactic grunt?

What are you guys using to run the game on pc so smoothly?
No Dawn is a lil crazy though?? Like why not? i’d probably prefer to see a Dawn in my hand with this check over a Giant Cape
Because u have volkner as a trainer Support card already so u can’t use both
Yeah but in some scenarios where you don't pull volkner you can use dawn to move a energy and attack but ig
@@Jg_17_14 nah cause dawn gives u only 1 energy and luxury needs 3 instead of 2 to attack, that's why infernal works so good with dawn
Finally, Luxray 🎉
I did this deck yesterday I also run a Regigigas with Butterfree and Shaymin build lol.
I've been using Luxray with PikaEx. Super potent.

Wanted to build this deck since the first day, but can't get the damn luxray. Got every ex at least once, but luxray is the real rare shit
volkner is naruto's dad
5:28 he should of attacked the articuno instead of palkia and won the game
weakness only works on active pokemon not bench
2x shinx, 2x luxio, 2x luxray
2x electrabuzz, 2x electivire
2x pokeball, 2x poke communicator
2x G. Cape, 2x prof, 2x volker
All you need
I try to use Volkner using Luxray and Electivire yesterday, but I just have a set of Shinx evolution, not two 😢
I've playing this deck went 9-1 win strike lightning ⚡ :) Spirit tomb works well for this deck
Im suprised many people don't know discarded energy exist? Do they even play the game
first time I used luxray I had a 9 winstreak lol
Please find a way to show the whole deck in one screen
Gives a reason to start using red card again for defense.
The only deck that dnt use leaf or x speed
Omg I wish VGC Electivire was this good 😩😂
I think I like rocky helmet better. Darkrai and weev both have 140 and the rocky helmet let’s you one shot
couldnt you just attack articuno on the bench in the first match and win instead of attacking palkia twice?
You dont get the weakness extra dmg vs benched pokemon. So he would have 10 hp left.
Effective damage doesn't work on bench pokemon so it would be only 120 damage
If you start making your deck boxes match the type I’ll sub
Is cape even woth it if any of these pokemon will get recked by meta anyways
imo not really, you’re better off using rocky helmet for chip dmg

It's just added value for random blowouts since you're already running Volkner.
There's also a lot of value in not running any EX, as you can't get blown out by Cyrus or something.
I cant pull a luxray or electivire to save my life

I'd love if we got a card like pal pad that lets you recycle supporters.
doubt we’ll see anything like that as this is meant to be an easy version of tcg live, plus you’re limited to 20 cards
Soo the galactic team trainer card is worthless? Like nobody playing it

weakness doesnt Work on backline
Bench doesn't get affected by type weakness, that is only for the pokemon on the active spot
What they ^ said. 😁
No bench effects or weakness
Same thing with giovani. It wouldnt work on the backline
you need test gengar, he totally destroy alll new meta. Without support all build suck :) 1:20 today

Damn near 100 cards in and still haven't pulled anything good
