It should be called historian or Paleontologist but it would be too overpowered because it's only searching for fossil lines so you know what you're gonna get unlike pokeball
An absolute fun deck I have been playing that just drives people insane. I have hardly lost at all with this and you can just clearly watch peoples brain thinking from the moment I start the match.
2x Graninja, 1 darkrai EX (because I don’t have 2 yet, but one honestly does amazing and is consistent) 1 bunny line, 1 x speed, 2 pokeballs, 1 poke communication, 1 giant cape, 2 professor research, 2 rocky helmet, 1 leaf, and 1 dawn.
(This was my own creation I have yet to see anyone else play anything like it) and man I tell you this deck is both chip damage and snipe heaven. It is a must try!
darkrai is not a card that likes dual energy. mixing water and dark energy with darkrai is bad. puting greninja in a deck with only dark energy is even worse. I dont want to tell you what to play but this sounds like a bad creation 🙊
@ this is a dark energy only. And it works amazing. I don’t mean to tell you how to play, but if you look its first 2 stages are a single energy and it’s only a single retreat. But have played over 20 games with this deck and only lost 5 so idk what to tell you. It works amazing.
@ if your darkrai goes down you are dead in the water because geninja cant even attack. You are better of with weezing+koga in this case.

the lopunny line synergies perfectly with Cyrus, hurting the active and benched pokemon at the same time for 1 energy is amazing.
They need to create an archeologist trainer card that finds a fossil in your deck and put into your hand/bench.
I think adding marshadow will be crazy, because if rampa got low HP after attack, then enemy k.o it, marshadow comes in and revenge for 120 with Lucario on the bench
I did it and it’s a blast got Lucario,Rampardos and added one mankey and primeape and it’s a blast early mankey 1 energy coin flip can be 70 damage primeape guaranteed 70 and ramp just plows them down. Marshadow is in the deck with ramp and Lucario and holds it down 120 for two if ramp dies.
The second I saw Ramp in the leaks I almost frothed at the mouth when I saw that damage. Can't wait to run this deck when I open more Dialga packs!

Im running Rampardos with aerodactyl ex and a single chatot as the only basic. Haven't tested it much yet but I'm loving rampardos
I'm not sold on Riolu as the only basic. It's really fragile, so this deck will instantly crumble to any aggressive strategy if you don't immediately find Lucario and/or the Rampardos line. Also, I kinda feel like the damage boost from Lucario isn't super necessary with how much damage Rampardos already does.
Been running this with primeape, does 50 for 1 energy so 70 with luca
Soo you mean it's balanced and not overpowered that's a good thing right if everyone just had rampardp and Lucarios on the field doing 150 for 1 energy no other deck would even have a chance
We need a fossil dig card, something like a pokeball that looks for fossils.
It could be a supporter instead of an Item.

Out of All decks you made this is the deck I have the most fun playing there nothing more satisfying than bringing in a Rampardos and 1 shoting everything
Does Lucario effect not stack? You should've put riolu down at the beginning of the first match to get evolved next round for combo effect

finally rampardos deck. i have waited long enough to see anyone post video on this. been playing only this one deck since the new update and never saw one opponent playing it. went on 13 win streak when everyone was busy building dialga. i will tell you how to optimize the deck. you dont need 2 lucario. 2 rampardos line, 2 fight back primeape, 1 lucario. 1 cyrus, 1 sabrina. you will own everyone.
I was thinking of running dusknoir with it to get rampardos in for longer but the deck was getting kinda crowded so…
Rampardos caught my eye at first, but Kabutops is the real star of the Dual Lucario combo!
I tried it and I liked it. But then I added Chatot to churn through the deck quicker and liked it a LOT more
What did you substitute it for?
Despite Rampardos and Lucario sounding insane I’ve had more success splitting them into different decks, specifically rampardos + aerodactyl EX with only 1 basic and 0 pokeballs, and lucario + primeape and marshadow or machamp/gallade EX. The double fossil comp in particular feels so fun and often goes even or positive against the darkrai comps out there
You dont need giovani, you dont need cirus and sabrina just stick to one and you need more potion and retreat cards my friend the retreat cost of the cards its too high
Also chatot prob really good in this deck
Won't surprise me if we get a fossil tutor trainer in the mini or next set and if we do Rampardos and fossils in general are gonna become really good. You can always try running Chatot to help find fossils.
This is what I've been running since the sets launched. Been trying to get other streamers to try it, but everyone is fixed on Darkrai and Palkia. Rampardos doesn't care about Mewtwo or anyone, it's stage 1 too is very agro with Lucario online. I don't run Giovanni since the damage is already insane with one Lucario, and there's a chance to get two online. I also run a Marshadow.
I tried Rampardos with Dusknoir and it’s kinda broken 😅😅😅 you can just keep absorbing the 50 hp and the rampardos keeps itself healthy. And since rampardos is 1 energy it’s not too stressful building him with dusknoir who also only needs one psychic energy and two colourless.

I’m running the fighting box version of this deck with Marshadow and Hitmonchan, by far the best deck I’ve used so far in PTCGP. In my 30+ games using the deck, I have 5 losses.

This deck was the first thing I made from the new set, everyone talking about lucario, but everyone sleeping on rampardos
I was thinking maybe playing this with Chatot. Finding the Fossil seems to be the biggest hiccup.
Seems like you might want a meowth or chatot to help find the fossil since the deck relies so heavily on it
What would you sub for Leaf? I feel like having Leaf (maybe even 2x??) is kinda necessary since you're starting with riolu often and evolving him. Spending energy to back him out to swap for Cranidos/Rampardos without being able to swing hurts
Dude you've gotta try running dialga with genetic apex golem and brock, steel energy only, ik this deck list had potential
Ive seen others using it too but theres a Lucario and kabutops build that ive pulled off some stunners with it even took out a couple mewtwo builds once i teched in a hat and a cape because little cool thing you do bonus damage to dark and get bonus heals ive had tops dropped to 10 hp before and with hat recoil and leech he was fully healed my following turn hes busted if you set him up w Lucario on the bench
Rampardos and Marshadow have crazy sinergy. You kill a Pokémon, die and deal 100 damage with Marshadow next turn
Roark, Byron trainer card for next half expanssion to find a fossil easier, like for the prediction
Honestly, you should try and cook with Empoleon. Doing 80 to face and 30 to bench is very VERY good in this meta, especially with access to Cyrus.
add giratina with rocky helmet for a wall and then has no retreat cost
I'm sure the deck I'm gonna suggest is underrated but I'm sure you'll see the value in it....have you ever thought of making a volkner deck?
i predict in the next set there will be a new support card that lets you draw a fossil. if they added a 4th gen mini set Roark would be the one
I’ve been thinking this and if they add a draw fossil card I REALLY think fossils will become meta which I reallyyyy want
Doesn’t A1 chattot make fossils better? The constant shuffling is relatively consistent at finding cards you’re looking for.
I consider Blue really consistent, since every deck now has a way to deal exact k.o
Let's say you play mewtwo vs mewtwo, first to get 150 wins, but if only -10 you are safe. Let's say you play Palkia you only do Articuno's damage to the bench. I can imagine more examples to write all chat.
Rampardos is strong but I prefer Kabutops with Lucario instead. Potentially self healing for 90hp while dishing out 90 attack on a 160 hp Kabutops that's slapped with Giant Cape makes it a more appealing deck to play for me.
Looks good. Wish I actually saved money for packs this time. The last set was a little underwhelming I thought, the same abilities on a bunch of different cards, so I haven't been playing pocket as much (granted I loved my Gyrados ex Deck) It seems now all the stuff from the mini set is fully power crept to death by this new set though, lol :(
This new set looks great though, the game seems to be slowly building into something now. Ofc now I am missing everything, so can't play any decks till I start to get lucky with my pauper packs, or next payday hits, which isn't' till mid feb.
I use chatot in the deck, works out very well
i run one of all of these beacuse i run hitmon chan and hitonmlee and shaymin they are also one energy also being boosted by lucario put hitmonchan at 50 and if opponent runs i switch to hitmon lee to chase it
Trying to get 2 lucarios so I can try this deck with aerodactyl ex. Probably not as good as rampardos, but I’m working with what I got.
First game in and we already saw the flaw in this deck. How you can search for your fossils.

I use 1 giratina as another basic to riolu. Just to tank early game
I actually add regirock to my decks to stall with Rocky helmet
add giratina instead of regi rock as a wall because you can retreat for free
Kabutops is pretty crazy with Lucario. Heals 70 with each attack

Same deck as mine but I run 1 mashadow over 2 ramp cause fossils are a little inconsistent so I just run 1 ramp but have 2 cran like a primape with the 50 dmg at 1 energy, so it's work-able early game with lucario and mashadow

This just makes that first Golem completely irrelevant, and it was already outclassed from the Mystic Golem
I got lucky and found 2 rampardos(es?) the first day, but unfortunately I don't have any cranidos yet >_>

Too many times cant find the fossil. Been thinking adding aero ex for more options and comm uses
Mewoth and Chatot have been seeing some use in fossil decks as of late, they really help you burn through your deck to get fossils quick
I played this deck on day one and found it to be way too slow. No way to consistently pull the fossil to start your craniados up. Had too many games where I hadn’t pulled one by the time I was left with 10 cards in my deck!
Makes me wish they brought in trading already for the new sets
Are you using some kind of emulator to be able to play on PC?
Played this day one and it slams. Lost 3 times out of 10 only difference is I run 2x Marshadow and 2x rocky helmets instead of cape.

-turn 1: put energy on electabuzz and charge,
-turn 2; evolve magnemite to magneton and volt charge with ability.
-use Lt. Surge to transfer all collected energy to electabuzz then evolve into electivire
(during mid game you can use volkner instead to put energy on electivire from the discard pile)
-smack for 120 dmg by your 2nd turn
-big cape for sustainability, pikachu ex and magneton for back up damage
-other trainer cards for utility.
pretty consistent but weak to primape-lucario due to type advantage and it comes online too quickly. about 50-50 win vs darkrai. never lost yet against a water deck.
IDK why. But I kinda feel like I dont want to switch deck anymore after experiencing Palkia Deck.
