He got benched. We don't need an immobile pocket passer that Lincoln Riley couldn't work with. If you want a USC QB, steal Maivia. Was at UNLV last year, took over for Moss. Dudes a stud. True dual threat. And he's a Hawaiin QB. They've turned the island into a QB churning machine.

Wow. Great job John. Breaking news that caught me by total surprise. Love seeing the recruiting train keep on moving. So excited and it will only get better Excited for the Cal game for bball. Appreciate the update as Caleb is a very important player for us with the competition increasing. Warrick can hopefully fill that role. MIZ
This offense isn't Kirby Moore's offense! This is Drink's offense and he admitted that he took over the offensive scheme at the end of last year and all this year. When Moore was in control of the offense last year the offense was lethal and Drink complained that they were scoring too quick and then he took over, That's why the offense has gotten boring and conservative again.
Underrated comment. Moore will want control of the offense as he should after last year. Drink blew it this year we need to let Moore do the play calling. Drink is frustrating sometimes.
@@themajicman745 how much of this is true? Why have an OC if you aren’t going to use him. A well sought after one at that…. And scoring too quickly?? Wow, what a problem to have! Compared to not scoring at all.
Great to hear about Grill. Whew. Bearer of good news. I thought he was done. I'm happy to hear he's not seriously injured. He's a young man with everything still in front of him. He's my fav on the team. We're a whole different team without him.
Dammit John. You had me excited with the Fowlkes & Davis flips. Then hit me with the Rogers decommit? He was one of the gems of this class & Morrow is a stud. Sucks to lose those guys.
Lamonts officially gone. That sucks. You cant replace 5 star Olineman. Im all for loading our roster with as much talent as possible but it feels like we hit on the same positions WR & RB. Where are the DBs, Linebackers, Olinemen
Huge loss. We got Lange top 150 4st OT. Fenuku 4st OT. Richardson, Pyfrom, Chandler high 3st 2024. Cayden Green 5st trans. Tollison. Membou if he returns. Tristan WIlson. We got guys. DL we've got a ton. Zion Young, McClellan, Eddie Kelly, Sterling Webb, Marshall, Gracial. Plus Nwanerri & Lang. Hopkins, DB'S Sensabaugh, Keys, McNeil, Greco, Wayne, Roche, Pride. Carnell & Norwood if they come back. Burks, Flagg, McNeil, etc. Drinks cooking. Still more flips & trans coming. Can't ever have enough at every position.
I swear I saw Sam Horn in uniform 24:02 on the sideline this season and my friends in PT tell me that Tommy John’s surgery and recovery does not end a quarterbacks career. So there is that and what about Zollers last I checked he was still committed to mizzou. There’s a problem with going out and picking off a 2nd or 3rd year q-back and leaving Horn and Zollars in the learch when they expect to play.
I was really happy for Brady he was able to score the winning TD in his final game at home. He looked pretty happy about that when it happened & good for him. Something he’ll remember for a lifetime.
Dude. He's amazing. If Cook didn't have a broken ankle & a broken hand, LB3 would have had another 1000yd season. We lose 2 more games this year without him.
He was good, but not any better than some guys we had In the past. Maclin, Alexander, Washington, Sasser. They have had better recievers. I think burden is greatly over rated.
@bryanwheat9101 Nobody we had could ever break tackles like him, was a physical as him at that talent level, & could gain YAC. He'd turn a 3yd pass into 30yds. He almost always drew double teams, which freed everybody else up. And opened up those outside zone runs Kirby loved so much. Dude was amazing. You'll see how much we miss him next year.
@@jmfbizzle I think you didn't watch much missouri football in the past. Denario Alexander especially was on a different level of playmaker. Those guys had hands and Alexander and Washington could to up and catch nearly any pass anywhere close to them, adjust to the pass and get under it while in motion, just better recievers over all. Luther does some things good, but he's not so good overall.
@bryanwheat9101 I haven't watched much mizzou fb? lol Phil Bradley taking us to the Liberty Bowl & Tracey Mack staying at my house for the weekend when I was a kid are two of my fondest miz fb memories. That's how far back I go if you even know who those players are. Denario was great, my top 4 wrs along with Maclin, & DGB. They are completely different players. Denario was a 6'5" 220lb outside or Boundary wr. He lined up outside & primarily ran longer routes down the sidelines, 50/50 balls, fade routes, etc. Denario was a 4.6 40 guy, not blazing fast, but bodied guys up. Burden is a 4.5 or lower 40 guy. 5'11" 200lb slot wr. Burden runs most of his routes inside the hashes, he might run to the Boundary but he generally is cutting to gain separation to get to a spot. Denario makes a 50/50 catch way down field, usually nobody between him & the endzone so 1 defender to beat. Burden catches in traffic or in space & breaks tackles to get yards after catch. Both were great but completely different games. Denario isn't turning a 5yd pass in traffic into a 40yd gain very often. Burden isn't catching a ball 50yds down the field very often on a jump ball very often. It's like in baseball you have two great hitters. One hits 330 with 5hrs on the season, the other hits 270 with 25hrs. Which is better? Who would you rather have at the plate? If there's a man on 3rd with two outs in the 9th inning give me the 330 hitter. Nobody on 3rd give me the HR guy. You're comparing apples to oranges. On that last play 2pt conversion I'd take burden 10 out of 10 times. On a deep fade route to the corner of the endzone I take Denario every time. Both great, different skillsets.

@ChaoticDestiny1 Really good. There's going to be a lot of options. Arnold from OU is a possibility. Not a huge fan but he can run & it didn't help him having zero Oline in front of him (3.5 sacks per gm) or WR1-5 not playing. Still completed 63% of his passes & he's battle tested. Maivia from USC would be awesome if he enters. A bunch of G5 guys.
John you do such a great job reporting news & analysis for Mizzou! Gosh hope we don’t lose who we want!
I agree regarding RB. Lacy looks explosive. I absolutely love Roberts. He is shifty in tight spaces and he is great in protection.
Getting ahead of the curve here… Mizzou needs to go after Miller Moss for the starting role next year. Not interested in Pyne being “the guy”
