I can remember being able to get into the old fort part when I was younger. It was still open then. Now it's walled by the lighthouse. Been tempted to camp there but never have. Enjoyed your video.
Brilliant account of a fantastic looking mini adventure. Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to seeing the Brompton and yourself on more adventures like this 👍🚴
What a wonderful adventure, so beautifully captured and narrated 😊 What an experience that must have been!! I loved the way you carried your bike - I'll hopefully remember to try that when I need to in the future 😎 Gorgeous video 👏
Back in my late teens when i was starting out bass fishing, myself and Steevos oldest brother Paul would stay on there overnight and get our heads down on those stone slabs in the engine house. The sounds of scurrying rats in the darkness still gives me the shivers. Apart from that, the island holds many fond memories for me. Cool video buddy. A stay over on the Worm is next for you i feel. Thats an adventure for sure.
I came close to sleeping on those slabs as I couldn’t find my tent pegs initially and the tide had come in 😂. I didn’t think about rats though, just ghosts of old inhabitants. Cheers J, the Worm will be taxing on a Brommie but doable 👍
Well. As you know, I'm politically against camping. BUT! This might convert me. Love the island, love the solitude, love the history! Top notch narrative 👏 Bet your ankles hurt after walking on those rocks, mind. 🤪
😀👍 thanks very much! There’s no romance in adventure if you moan about having your blood supply cut off by the weight of the bag around your neck 😃 thanks for your positivity 🙏
Absolutely one of the best brompton camping videos out there. I was mesmerized by your capture of that glint of sun over your left shoulder as you sat there looking out. How long did that take for the right exposure or was it part of the editing masterpiece? AND to also place yourself off centered! Brilliant. Please continue with more. Also, would love to see your bike setup. Intrigued with the temporary fenders.
Thanks Harry - for watching and your very kind comment! The capture was a bit of luck really, just filmed as much as possible from different angles before dark. I use a 360 camera so I can select shot key frames afterwards which is great but seems to take forever. I bought the Brompton without guards, but got sick of getting splattered when commuting. The temp Brompton fenders are a clever design - rear one folds with the bike.
www.brompton.com/shop/parts-and-accessories £25 delivered and they fit through a letterbox. Come with cable ties and frame protector stickers, little fiddly to set up but great design. 👍
Thanks for watching! Yeah they were more surprised that I’d actually told them than anything else. I just didn’t want a crew to launch because someone had seen someone on the island and called it in
That is a beautiful production. Thank you for sharing. Was that captured using GoPro 360? It is rather versatile that you could change the camera angle.
Great start to a memorable journey that never end. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you 🙏 thanks for watching Alan 👍
Uwielbiam twoje filmy, są inne takie nie przesadzone, spójne z właściwą minimalistyczną narracją. Są inne niż większość filmów na YT dlatego są super.
Thank you very much - very kind words from you 🙏

Brilliant, I had no idea there was so much history on that little island.
Thank you, there’s more than I included - a machine gun position used to cover the causeway in WW2 from the island too. Thanks for watching 👍
This is brilliant and inspiring! The camera work is typically great but the quality of the writing really stands out as first class.
Thanks Hugh - really means a lot! I’ve spent more time than is rational editing this. I published before I could fuss any more. 🙈
That first sunset is my version of Heaven!
Sunrise and sunsets are the best! Guess I got lucky the days I filmed 👍
Good choice for a micro adventure!
Thank you Greg, thanks for watching 👍

Nice! 🥰
Thank you 👍
Beautiful video, loved the sunset shots. I bet that walk across the causeway on those slippery rocks felt like it went on forever.
Thanks Hollie - yep carrying 25kg of bike+kit over terrain like that is challenging but I’ll keep doing it as long as I’m able 🤞 😂

Hiya! Awesome video, the shots you got are beautiful. Just a curious question, were the coastguard ok with you camping here when you contacted them?
Thanks for watching! Yeah they were more surprised that I’d actually told them than anything else. I just didn’t want a crew to launch because someone had seen someone on the island and called it in

Thank you! I did use as GoPro 360 which makes it easy to capture everything - but fiddlier to edit afterwards. Thanks for watching 👍
Nice video. What tent do you use?
Hi Rog, I use a Hilleberg Akto tent. Thanks for watching 👍
May I ask what make the little tent is please ?
It’s a Hilleberg ‘Akto’ not cheap or particularly light but solid in winter conditions
