I did this ride in August on my Brompton, camping along the way. It took me 6 days as I’m not a proper cyclist - hills have to be walked! It’s a lovely ride, you’ll get a good workout 🤗
I did this route a few weeks back. I did the section to Settle via the Trough of Bowland (having done Morecambe to Settle on my Brompton a few months back). First two days on a laden mountainbike were brutal but I enjoyed it. It was my first multi day bike ride at the age of 59. I also fancy the Trans Pennine Trail.
Nicely done! Great filming gentlemen. I am a Brompton rider from Maine in the USA. I travel around the world teaching English and always bring my Brompton with me: South Korea, China, Hungary, Mexico and soon, Latvia--which, I hear has great, almost entirely flat biking. Cheers!
I have a couple of Bromptons - when repairing punctures I just fold the back wheel under so it rests on the rear rack and easy to remove either wheel without turning the whole bike upside down- much more stable like that too Nice trip but too many hills for me 😱😊
Greetings from David, Malaysia.Great ride, great bikes, great set up especially the rear rack and Pinnacle Panniers.Wonderful tour! Well done! Sadly,I do not have the financial strength to own a Brompton as it is VERY expensive over here.Instead,I could only afford a reasonable good clone in the form of the 3 Sixty,6-speeds at 1/3 the price. Please do share more rides! All the best!
I have a pro Trek Gravel bike, perfect in every way for a trip like this. But nothing puts a smile on my face like my Brompton. Well done guys, great ride and no easy feat!
I ordered my first Brompton. The Bear Grylls edition. Can't wait to join the Fold. But wauw full bike tours on such a small bike I am so impressed. Great video gents !
I think I got off the train with my bike at the same time as you chaps at Lancaster. I asked you if you got many punctures on the Bromptons. I should have ,kept my gob shut.. Well done guys.
There's a "halfway" marker board in Pateley Bridge. We wuz there yesterday. Had you done the ride the other direction, you would have had to go *up* Greenhow, instead of down it. That would definitely have been the hardest hill on this particular East-West crossing. Kudos for handling the rain and all.
Thanks for this beautiful inspiration. I love your trip. I have a brompton myself and I’m planning a tour a long the Baltic Sea next next. Can you tell me the manufacturer of your bicycle bags for the luggage carrier. Thanks so much
Well done guys . Must try to do WOTR on my Brompton sometime. Have done it before on mtb. Glad you knew to use the Aldwark Golf Club bridge instead of the longer current diversion !
I can’t believe you made the schoolboy error of presta pump and schraeder tube. However, the Brompton comes with a pump that’s schraeder presta compatible, mine did. Did you lose yours?
@@richH1625They look large and by the heavy breathing after the 12% and bike-pushing, I guess the standard 50t. I don‘t understand why brompton chooses those. Or rename: C-Line Explore-FlatsOnly
I bumped into these guys as they passed through York, and had a chat about what they were doing. I’ve been looking forward to the video since. Certainly didn’t disappoint. Well done guys. My cameo at 7:22
Why is there music throughout the majority of the video? I like to hear what you are hearing when you are riding. I find the music adds no value to the video other than being a very annoying distraction. At the beginning for a few seconds and at the end is just fine, but through the whole thing. No. Sorry.
You have to remember this is a sub-10 minute advert. If you want detail, try: Susanna Thornton, Terrys all Bikes, The Brompton Traveller, Andy Longfellow (Andy’s videos have pleasant music, but no commentary).
I agree with your comments regarding the soundtrack…….. which some have described as music. Music can, of course, add immeasurably to a film. Or, as you are well aware, be an unnecessary distraction. If you haven’t watched any, view the Brompton Traveller clips, also on TH-cam. Not only is the camera work excellent, the music is for the most part entirely fitting. IMHO, there is no better bike travel clips better than those.
Interesting set up. I rode and filmed this route a couple of months prior. Beautiful and brutal even without 16” wheels 😂
Respect..the hills over the pennines are tough!

What a wonderful video, the only issue that is doesn't help my Brompton fever, it only makes me want one more.
I'm inspired to you and your journey ❤
Heartiest congratulations 🎉
Could you please share links for the gear and accessories. Thanks in advance

Brilliant job. I did the C2C on a Brompton from Whitehaven to Tynemouth. Hard work, but a lot of fun.

Brilliant vlog guys brought back lots of great memories of my Brompton ride on “The way of the Roses” Many thanks for sharing.
An epic journey. Great cinematography
Oh boy.. you should know your bike before you go on a tour with it... and bring the right tools. Anyway.. Cool trip!

Good one. Did it on the electric assist bike in July. Plan to do the opposite direction B to M next year with the BrommTi.
Amazing video. I really enjoyed the sceneries. You made fixing a flat look so cool. Sorry about the wasp or bee sting... ouch!
Great journey!! Could I have the name of brand of pannier bag? Thank you !
Me too! They look ideal

Hello - glad you liked it. The bags are made by Pinnacle and sold by Evans Cycles. They work really well for this sort of ride.
Amazing trip it seems! I’d be interested to learn more about their set up with all those bags and such
Thanks Devin. Watch this space... coming soon!

wunderschöne Aufnahmen und tolle Eindrücke
I see these Brompton videos and feel so inspired, but I don't even know how to ride a. Bike 😂😂😂😂😂
Envious…would love to make that trip on my Brompton, absolutely beautiful country side. Don’t see that in Nebraska, USA
Way of the roses is good fun. First day was brutal though
Epic journey guys🎉
Could you attach some links for the panniers setup? I am so interested but cannot see the same thing on Evanscycle’s website
same. They look great
great content guys. you just earned another subscriber ☺👍🏻
Great trip :-) I'm always surprised how you can drive on the left side ;-) Please tell me, what bags do you use?
Greetings from Poland!
Great video! I like those Pannier bags 🤩! Can anyone share the brand name, please? Cheers!
Nice clips
Cool❤
Great! What types of video cameras have you used?
Nicely done! Were they stock Bromptons? C or P Line? Any mods?
Great shots.
Thanks for the video.
The cattle grid at 1:07 is my favourite part
It tickled :)
The handling dynamic of a Brompton is THE BEST. I can't stop riding mine. Selling my 700c commuter because it feels like driving a boat in comparison.
Hi, may I know what is the brand and model of the handlebar bag you guys were using?
What are those panniers that you're both rockin'?
The Brompton comes with a pump fitted boys 😂

Excellent video and unlike someone I liked the music. Which models of Brompton were you using?
Thanks :) They were CLine Explores
Awesome video. Thanks
How to avoid a touching of a small chain from the inner hub and the right side rear pannier's inner surface?
whats stopping Brompton from changing the drivetrain to Pinion drive?
hi, nice trip, what brand were the bike bags at the back?
They are made by Pinnacle and sold by Evans. Really great for this trip!
Which model?
Which saddle do you use,have,?
Nice! What make is the pannier system on the rear rack? Thanks!
Hey - it was a Pinnacle bag and it worked really well on the Brompton rack!
what panniers are those?
Where u buy trunk bag?
What was the lowest gearing you had? Looks like a nice trip, what month was it? Looked not too hot, not too cold.
We were riding the 6 geared C line's and it was at the start of July :)
@@TrailCreatives What size chainring?

4:17 what shoes are these?
They are the Specialized 2fo ClipLite Shoes. Really comfortable and so easy to get on and off when you are in and out of a tent!
@@TrailCreatives thank you 🙏🏽

Would of been better without the annoying music
Awful music
