Greetings from Bahrain 🇧🇭. Nice tent! Congratulations on your camping upgrade. Glad to see you back posting TH-cam, and I’m looking forward to seeing your new adventures now the weather is getting better.
Yes, it has the mosquito net as a window, and then on the inside you can also zip up a canvas windo to completely protect yourself from the elements. Our table is the FrontRunner Stainless Steel table from FrontRunner Outfitters, and ours came with the bracket mountings needed to attach it to the Frontrunner roof rack.
Great set up! Just wondering, how did they attach the AluCab 3R RTT to the FrontRunner rack? I have the Slimline II from them and considering getting the 3R RTT as well... Thanks :)
Sorry for the delayed response. Those mounts are one of the only things on the FJ I didn't purchase and/or install myself... sorry! It's connected with three mounts on each side of the vehicle. Each mount is two parts - the first spans across two of the east/west bars of the slimline rack for better weight distribution. the second extends out from that like kind of like an L bracket, connecting to the rails on the bottom of the tent and then also extending out and (on the back two on each side) connecting to the side rails. It looks to be sized just right for the alucab, so it may be something directly from them. They've been helpful in the past when I was looking at things, so it might be worth reaching out to them to see if they can help you find it.
There isn’t an Alu-cab dealer currently in Saudi Arabia (4wheelstation doesn’t carry them anymore), so our options were Kuwait or Dubai to get the tent we wanted. It was worth it for us, since it meant we got exactly what we wanted.
Great video guys! Congrats on your new tent, may you have many more adventures. I know your time was short in my home country of kuwait but I hope you enjoyed it. I have a question, I just got an fj and am looking to purchase roof top tent. I’m considering the iKamper mini (#1 choice among Kuwaiti campers). However it costs a hefty 1200kd. Have you compared your tent to other tents and how much did it cost you? Also where did you get your roof rack and table from? Thank you Anyways great content and I will definitely be visiting some of the place you’re going to in Saudi ❤❤
The price of the high end roof top tents is a serious investment and the iKampers and AluCabs are similar in price. The iKampers are great and we've got several friends with them, but we love the even faster set-up closure of the AluCab, the fact that you can leave your bed completely made, and personally I think the clamshell is even better in the wind, too. The iKamper mini might leave you with more room on your roof rack, or with the big ikamper you could have a king size bed :) Ultimately, though it's a personal decision on what's right for you. I know Quickpitch and Ironman are now in the region, and Wild Land looks like a slightly more affordable hardshell option, but I haven't looked into the quality. We LOVE ours though and if you plan on camping regularly it's totally worth it! I think we've only not camped one weekend since we bought it :)
Sorry you thought so. It was our first impression on the tent. Now we've had it 18 months and have loved it. Anything in particular you'd like to know?

Thanks! We're excited about the new rooftop tent and for the nicer weather! We're trying to plan out some fun adventures for the next few months.
Congratulations 🎊 That's cool set up now. This will prompt you for more camping trips and more content for us 😀
We’re planning on camping every chance we can now!
Yay for the RTT! I love that thing!
Sleeping upgrade!
But beyond the mosquito net, there is another tarp? And link of That table?

Great combo. Is the awning length the 2.6m or 2m model?
It’s the 2.6m - it’s a bit longer than the tent both at the front and back, but the extra shade is so nice in the desert!
Why all the way to Kuwait for the tent? How much the difference in price? Is it so much cover all the hassle and costs?

@@EricAndAsh Oh I see. I thought you can get from 4x4C. Best tent though. FJ looking awesome 👌
