The first RTT video I've watched where my wife said, "That's what I'm talking about." I think she's sold! The engineering for the heater is something I personally want to thank you for. Living in the southeast US we have so many great areas to camp during the year, but most are at higher elevation, and the Temps dip into the low 20s or teens at night and early morning. This will probably be our first RTT. Nicely done, Alu-Cab!
Brilliant - literally thought of every single gripe I have had with overlanding. This tent is worth every penny. I love AluCabs and Jeremy's passion in solving all of overlandings little annoyances that are legitimately addressed without compromise.
Wow. This changes everything for me. A backrest? A Tempurpedic mattress? Not to mention safety from grizzly bears and mountain lions?!!! This is GREAT! Well done Alu-Cab!
Hi Jeremy. I’m big fan of your products and also user of different roof top tents. Take it as criticism or advice but these are super week points of your tent comparing to competitors on market: - doors folding down on the mattress. Very often dirty, wet, obstructing entrance and taking precious floor space in the tent while in other RRT they hang on the side or roll up with many flexible options how to open and use in different situations. Also this Velcro between layers is annoying every time you try to get in or open. Check Autohome tents! Briliant door solution in daily use in different situations. - shape of the tent. I understand you narrowed it for aerodynamic parameters but, lets face it its not and will not be aerodynamic at all and putting this kind of tent we have to accept it. At the end most users install awning and shower cube both sides and it’s completely incompatible with tent shape and must be compensated by huge brackets in front …. And space inside the tent is lost and all setup together getting much wider. - rails and installation of the tent. Every time we look at Alucab on our cars we thing what went wrong !? - who designed this kind of connections … why it can not be like all other tents with flat bottom or longitudinal rails strong enough to fix the tent at the bottom. These brackets going around and are fixed to side rails look like some mistake in production (and bypass of old mistakes) and has so many bad consequences later. Look how people do install alucab tent all around the world - comparing to other tents it looks like McGuiver trying to connect random elements to fit together … :( all because very strange structural design of rails - brackets - load bars- another brackets another bars and more brackets around … nightmare. If there is some structural reinforcement required you should include it inside the tent not compensate by stupid brackets going outside tent. - Rails on side of the tent are useless in general. First of all because shape of the tent which I mentioned above (its not straight), they are not strong and because they are obstructed by your installation brackets. Whole idea of using hard shell aluminum strong tent as a roof rack is gone because of it. Please make it more practical . What if you go for example into cooperation with Front runner and put their profile around instead and then all accessories will be automatically compatible ! Without existing shape and rails You can imagine awning or other things fixed directly to the wall of straight tent …. Without strange brackets and empty triangular shape between them. - mattress- check how many people on internet especially TH-cam complaining about your mattress saying it’s the first thing to throw away and replace or need to put some topper layer above. Shame for 'Best tent' on market. - your power socket inside the tent- fixed with some tape, flying around after few months with old fashion USB with not enough power to charge most modern phones in reasonable time. - Also white model not available. I'm not sure worldwide or only on our market - and one of very common wish list item - shoe bag ;) ! - Your shower cube has no adjustment of the height like other competitors. Clients very often choose competitors. Also reflective coating inside is missing. - 270 awning has much smaller area (10m2 vs 15m2) being only slightly lighter comparing to quick pitch. Please consider these constructive comments to do some improvements in next model and you will have best of the best 'Ultimate' RTT

I personally love the windows. I sit on them when getting in and taking my shoes off and any extra dirt/sand lands on it so I can fling it off easy without it touching the mattress. Also the pup sleeps with us up top. In the middle of the night if I need to give her water, I can use the window as a bib. All the water lands on it, and it’s easy to dump off. Last, if the windows were the other way around a cold breeze with blow directly on me. No thanks.
Man that is beautiful! My wish is that you make a version of this tent that folds out to the side like the ikamper skycamp. I need the room for four and i love the structure of this tent.
Congratulations on another well thought out product. I cannot wait to see you all in person. Also, it would be great to integrate the adjustable back rest into the canopy campers some how🎉
@Alu-Cab Can you make a high rise, rooftop tent for a Jeep Grand Cherokee (XJ)? Kind of like a Land Rover Defender square body. Do y'all offer other colors beside black for the exterior?
After putting much time into my Gen 3R, I love mine. Something that can't be overstated is how dark the tent gets. Amazing! Having integrated solar, lighting, and power within the tent is phenomenal. The accessories only make this tent better. I love the backrest. That is a true beauty. My only improvements are two: First, the glue used to put the white lining seeps through and makes an ugly yellow stain. It would be nice to have this with a black lining like I've seen in the Khaya. The white internal collects dirt; I don't know the cooling benefits since it's internal. Can someone purchase the black liner in the Khaya to replace the stained white of the Gen 3R? Second, the RTT doesn't integrate nicely with the rest of your products, such as the Shadow Awning and walls. It would be lovely to exit my tent directly into an enclosure that protects you from the elements, like the shadow awning enclosure or Shower Cube. Many companies are doing this, and it's a game changer. Is this something that Alu-Cab is considering doing with the Gen 3R?
I hope some of the features come to the Canopy Camper, I have been wanting to get one for a while and looking at used but with more features I would love to buy a new one
Cool tent. :) Being new to roof top tents I'm wondering why not have a roof top tent which can be opened with the push of an electric switch from inside the car, and which opens so it also acts as a "roof" on the driver side of the vehicle, having the entrance to the tent BELOW instead of in the side. This would make it possible to park the vehicle in heavy rain, and get into the tent without being touched by rain, and without setting foot on the ground. Is this something you have considered making? Thanks.
This looks like a great tent to go with my new Alucab contour canopy! However, I am looking for a tent that is longer. Do you think your design team will ever offer a tent with same dimensions as the tent on the alucab canopy camper? For me, on my Jeep Gladiator, that would be PERFECT!
Will these features be making their way into the defender 110 pop top roof? I plan on building a 110 to travel round the world in next year and the table and lift up back rest will make working remotely so much easier! Especially on wet days
Hi Arun, it might be some time before these features will be available for our roof conversion range. It is not on the list at the moment, but never say never!

I have used a lot of roof tents from many brands including AluCab, Autohome, James Baroud, Bundutec etc. The real shame is that no one brand takes the time to look at what the others do well and integrate it into their tent. AluCabs main weakness is functionality in rain, and like all tents except Bundutec, the awful mattress. It could be really good but like all the others is let down by some very poor areas of design.

Just look on TH-cam at the number of people looking for better RRT mattresses. People are going to airbeds and trying to find one that will fit into their tent. Great that you have made a hole for a heater

@@alu_cab Hi No I am not looking for a dealer in Spain. I bought an aluccab roof and I do consider the sales service has been quite bad. If you need more information let ne know. Regards Fernando
I'm not convinced with the aluminum shell, aluminum has a horrific thermal conductivity rating and literally passes all the heat right through. I can understand why he talked a lot about insulation. Maybe they have compensated for it, but I'd need to see real world testing to be sure.
I’d rather have aluminum than fiberglass or plastic. I’ve had a Gen 3 for several years now and have done a few reviews on my channel, the tent does quite good as far as insulation goes. I upgraded my mattress to a HEST and the tent is incredibly insulated now. Most of my heat was being lost through the floor, but not anymore. Also, the dual layer material he talks about acts like a dual pane window.
Alu-cab, the brand with cracking rubber seal above the front window that causes water to come into the dashboard area.. never again, there are far better poptop roofs on the market

I'm not convinced with the aluminum shell, aluminum has a horrific thermal conductivity rating and literally passes all the heat right through. I can understand why he talked a lot about insulation. Maybe they have compensated for it, but I'd need to see real world testing to be sure.
Welcome to the world of GVM upgrades, made from aluminium to keep the weight down 🤦♂️
I’d rather have aluminum than fiberglass or plastic.
