@MK Agree with you, but the rarity of the 8th gens in great shape are very hard to come by nowadays; also, personally, I keep mine bone stock with minor upgrades: braided clutch/brake lines, shift bushings, Mügen pads and rotors, Strut bar, C-Pillar Brace, etc.

An average person that would want this cant install it. They cant weld, they most likely dont have tools or any mechanical know how, all they know is playing Forza and watch TH-cam videos wiith Supras. Thats the sad honest truth.
The average car guy who would consider a build like this essentially would have most of the tools or a "buddy" to help along. I agree though that the average non car guy would rather talk smack about someone's car yet couldn't do his own tune up. Totally valid.

legolucky09 yeah the piping was worth that. Id probably buy that kit and run it and then replace BOV, Waste-gate, and turbo with better parts tho as saving and money allowed...
Civic parts are hella cheap and the cheap ones are decent quality, plus when the motor blows you can do a rebuild for like another ~500 ish dollars
People bragging about being able to replace an engine that blew due to "quality" parts... I mean yeah I'm kinda hating but at the same time, after you spend the money again and again, why not just buy a quality car and mod that?
@@wonderbreadjumps low entry price, cheap parts, high power output potentials. It's possible to build any block to be bulletproof, but at what cost? Or make 8/10th the power and just throw a bottom end or transmission at something from time to time

I work at a rod shop just say for the tools and set up you used, you did a beautiful job where most people would have to rig half this job you went through it properly and informed on important parts of the installation great video

I love this! no fancy lifts or garages, working with the car on a driveway.. Amazing!!
This video is a great way to show people how a turbo system is set up and that it’s really not that complicated. Everybody bashes the eBay turbo kits but they’re a good way to get the majority of the basic parts you need. I’ve used them before but in both cases, I used different turbos rather than the turbo that came with the kit. Later sold the eBay turbos to recoup some of the cost. Great video!!

I just came back from vacationing in Puerto Rico and those guys know their stuff. Some dude had a turbo from a volvo installed in this same body civic and he was almost pushing 600 hp. I've never worked on a Honda, but wow the molding on that block is excellent, I mean the quality of the molding is almost flawless. No wonder they have a reputation for being amazing engines, it looks like they spare no expense in making it.
They started as a motorbike company. A motorbike is literally motors and wheels. They make and design their own engines. They are top notch and better than Toyota engines.
You can say a lot about honda but my god they know how to build engines. Especially 70s,80,90s. Maybe later engines as well but never worked on those. Switched to german cars mid 2000s.
Now own a mint c5 rs6 with 650 horses.
