All those sharp edges would be a big red flag for me. He said the range was about 200 miles at 80-85 mph. I doubt he waited for the truck to charge completely since charging takes more time as it gets close to 100% full.
Actually, as a pick-up driver for the past thirty+ years, I am greatly offended by referring to this thing as a "truck". I can't imagine anyone would really put dirt, gravel, manure, lumber, etc into it.
Elon Musk is a snake oil salesman. In order to get gullible fools to buy this POS he had to change the definition of "truck". You & your truck are now considered dinosaurs therefor all dinosaurs are obsolete. I'd challenge anyone to a head to head match up between their brand new CyberJunk and a 20 year old Ford F250. Towing, payload capacity, off road capability etc. People will complain that it's not a fair comparison but I say if you're going to call that abortion a truck it better perform like a real one.
Most people don’t understand stainless steel, stainless steel doesn’t rust unless it has surface contamination such as ferrous metal dust from another source lands on it, this will start to permanently mark the stainless steel. But separately, stainless steel will tarnish, this is just the stainless steel dulling over time due to other surface contamination but is not actually damaging the metal, stainless steel hand railings and boat fitting will tarnish, this can easily be polished out. Bottom line, everyone who has one of these truck should accept that you will be doing a lot of polishing every day with wax to stop it tarnishing, just because it’s stainless steel doesn’t mean you can be lazy about looking after its appearance.
Stainless steel can rust it depends on the grade. The softer the stainless generally the more corrosion resistant, Hard stainless can develop surface rust but won't rust through like iron or steel.
@14:53 "...but as far as people making fun of the gaps and things, they're actually pretty good; everything looks well lined up on this truck...". Rewind a couple of minutes earlier (and also at the very beginning just seven seconds into the video) when Hoovie is zooming-in to point out the rust patch on the edge of the fender panel, and we clearly see that the edge of the fender he is highlighting out is alarmingly out of vertical alignment by at least 1/8" with the corresponding edge of the A-pillar it runs up to.

All those sharp edges would be a big red flag for me. It isn't that difficult to get rid of that sharp edge, I honestly don't know why they didn't sand down those edges to protect their customers other than lack of quality standards. So you should probably not drive it in the rain, put it through a car wash, or leave it anywhere near a large water source (especially if that source is saltwater).

Elon Musk is a snake oil salesman. In order to get gullible fools to buy this POS he had to change the definition of "truck".
I'd imagine brake dust would be a real problem with these things
Stainless steel can rust it depends on the grade. The softer the stainless generally the more corrosion resistant, Hard stainless can develop surface rust but won't rust through like iron or steel.
Yippie, you can buy a 100k daily chore
It's not "never stain" it is "stain less." A big difference that most folks don't realize.

The Star Trek jacket is much more interesting than the fridge on wheels.
I was 18 minutes in before I realized he was wearing a black top captain's jacket.
It's a urinal on wheels
That thing makes the Aztec look good.

@@IrisFox97 And the Aztec even had a better tent🤣 Not to mention, ample places for all the drugs..

To say that the Cybertruck has build quality problems infers that it had any build quality at all in the first place 😂
According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the most recalls issued by any automaker in 2023 was Ford (F) with 58 recalls affecting more than 6.1 million vehicles.
@@ericgregori tell me again. was that one particular vehicle? or was that an entire car company making at least 14 different vehicles with another at least 10 submodels on the main models they make. 58 recalls. oh my so horrible. why dont you check to see how many of those were safety recalls cause pretty sure that number will fall a bit when it turns out some of the recalls were for something like water can intrude into the trunk compartment through the weather seal.
@@compzac Tesla was recalled for font size.
Ford is recalling 43,000 automobiles following an error with fuel injectors that can cause gas leaks, possibly igniting fires.
Ford is recalling 112,965 F-150s pickup trucks because of a rear axle hub bolt that can be a roll away risk if it’s damaged.
Ford’s most-recalled component category was powertrains. The company recalled 5,692,135 vehicles in 2023, more than twice the number of the next closest automaker on the list, Stellantis.

@Zero_Ninety Some say that name-calling in a debate is an automatic loss, and that it makes you sound immature and insecure. According to David Grace, personal attacks and name-calling in a debate are a clear admission that the person doesn't have anything valid or worthwhile to say.
The Delorean was the first crappy stainless vehicle, we didn't need a modern one. Anyone with a SS fridge knows they suck to clean, just imagine what mud will do to these.
The Delorean wasn't even the first. The Maserati Bora had a stainless steel roof. And before that, the Cadillac Brougham. It's something several automakers have tried once, regretted, and vowed never to do again.
Especially considering how many have already bricked because owners washed them without putting them in a special carwash mode first. Everything shorts out.
Ironic thing is, DMC went to the extra expense of using the right grade of stainless that wouldn't turn to rust as soon as it rolled outside. As you'd expect, Elon cut corners on this too, and now his cars rust 5 minutes after they're built.
@@GrandMoffJoseph And I have never heard anyone complain about the fit and finish of any DMC.
There are videos by people showing how to wash *"This"* properly.
Another extra pain in the A$$ for the owners of the owners of these things.
