looks easier than the FG. the question is is it tested on the BIG bluefin???

I have caught surface iron fish to 140 lbs on 65lb braid and 80lb leader with both the FG and SC. No problem. All about trying the knot when the fish pop. I bring a couple rods, one with each knot and put them to the test.

I do like this knot, but it does drive me creasy when it is sliper on the leader when trying thigh it !!!

Most important thing is to get enough wraps on the knot and make sure you cinch it properly. Thats the deal with all knots. I have been using the FG a lot more and really like it throwing poppers for school or larger tuna. No problems.
