  • Have you too tried to soothe a baby by feeding, rocking and swaddling your baby? If none of these techniques have worked for you, don’t worry: you are not alone! The good news is: there are baby soothing techniques which are more efficient to calm a crying baby because they are based on alternative medicine approaches.
    So, in this video, Nathalie Kaufmann, Pregnancy & Birth Consultant and TCM Therapist, and Mathias Ritter, Researcher and Science Geek, explain the 4 most effective ways to soothe a baby based on alternative medicine approaches. In fact, they demonstrate how to apply the baby soothing techniques and explain why they are supposed to calm a crying baby. Next, they also explain in which environment it is easier to calm a crying baby and they also give practical tips on things to avoid if you want your baby to quickly calm down.
    Furthermore, they discuss why it could be YOURSELF who prevents your baby from calming down. And they also share the recipe of a tea which can help you with that.
    Finally, they also explain what you can do if these baby soothing techniques do not help you soothe your baby which is often the case when your baby suffers from pain. But don’t worry when that’s the case! They also explain what the 3 most common kinds of pain are that babies suffer from, and they refer you to additional videos which show you what you can do in these cases.

    Thanks so much for watching! 😊 Soothing a baby is one of the most difficult tasks of parents because there can be 1000 reasons why your baby is crying. So, we hope that at least one of these techniques can help you! If they don’t help you, and your baby is neither hungry nor has a full diaper, then chances are that your baby suffers from pain. Because of that we also refer you to other videos that we have recorded in the hopes that they will help your baby with the pain!

      Hi there! 😊
      Thanks a lot for your input! 😊 The next video that we are going to release is about tools for an easier and faster second stage of labor (i.e. the actual delivery of your baby). Although pushing techniques are not part of it, the video includes tools which will certainly help you with an easier and faster labor.
      On top of that, we also plan to do like a free mini-course which will include correct breathing during the pushing phase. We just need some more time here because we have so much on our plate right now! 😅 But we work as fast as possible!
      In the meantime, we wish you all the best for you and your baby!! ❤️

    Thanks for the information. I come across you guys 2 weeks ago when I watched your video on breech babies, I was 36 weeks then and now 38 weeks, I have try all the techniques and yet my baby has not flip, what can I do, should I continue with the techniques or follow the doctors advice on CS

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! ❤️
      Did you try moxibustion too? We are asking because many women who watch our video only do the exercises but leave away moxibustion which would be very important...
      That said, in general, it is difficult to turn a baby after week 36. Please don't get us wrong: we have seen it work AFTER week 36 too, however, chances are just much lower. It very much depends on the level of your AF and the size of your baby.
      Does your doctor recommend a CS already now or do they give you time until week 40?

    Hi guys i really wanna ask if u have hemoglobin less than 11 is it possible for a normal delivery without blood or Glucose drip?

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! ❤️
      The answer to this question very much depends on the consequences of the low hemoglobin levels on your labor. For example: if you lose a lot of blood during your birth, then a blood transfusion may be required. However, this is something that your doctor should walk you through because only they know your pregnancy case...
      We are sorry that we cannot be a better help here! 🙁

    Hi i have a doubt that is it ok to feed a sleeping baby in 5 hrs at night time? Please suggest. My baby is sleeping at night continuously. I am feeding my two momth old baby in 5-6 hrs at night

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! 😊
      Many breastfeeding consultant recommend feeding a baby that age every 2-3 hours, even at night and even if that means that you have to wake your baby up. The reason is that it is important that the baby gains weight. And since the stomach is still so small, it is recommended maintaining a high frequency of the feedings, i.e. every 2-3 hours...
      We hope this helps! 😊
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️

      My lactation consultant said sleep is also important! For you and your baby. So going 5 hours overnight is fine as long as baby is gaining weight, 1oz per day average

    Good tips! My wife tried the acupressure points but hasn't worked with our 15 days old daughter yet... We are looking for lavander here (out is not so common in Brazil).
    Btw our daughter came to the world one day (!!!) after we did all your recommendations about inducing labor!!! We believe it was not a coincidence! Thank you!!!!!!!!
    We heard babies are born with an amount of melatonin from their mothers which last for about two weeks. Then they need to learn to produce this hormone by their own. Is that true? Would this be the cause of such a hard time on sleeping she is having these last 3 days?

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there Fabio!! 😊
      That's FANTASTIC to hear!! Thanks SO MUCH for sharing your story with us! 😊 We are super happy to hear that our induction videos helped your wife induce labor!! By the way: CONGRATULATIONS from the 2 of us!!! 🥳🥳🥳 We hope both your wife and your baby are well (and you too of course)!! 😍
      Regarding your questions:
      Please note that the acupressure points from this video are most likely going to work when your baby cries due to emotional issues. But they will not work if your baby cries for example due to hunger or because something bothers your baby (such as excess gas)...
      Yes, your baby does relieve lots of hormones from the mother. However, the baby is only going to develop melatonin when baby is about 3 months old. But don't be worried: your baby goes through a lot of phases at the beginning and sleep will not always be the same. It could be that something is bothering your baby, for example, excess gas. What we do recommend though is keeping blue light away from your baby because studies show that it can interfere with their melatonin levels. Unfortunately, blue light is often part of baby monitors or other stuff which can be found in a baby's room.
      It's hard to recommend anything that could help make your baby sleep because it really depends on your baby. In general, the first step should always be to check if something is bothering your baby (again, such as gas). Try to get rid of the problem and see if it helps. If not, try the soothing techniques (ideally lavender and acupressure points). This should NORMALLY do the job...
      We hope this helps! 😊
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️
