My 7 week old has been constipated for over a week now. Crying, grunting, fussy and completely uncomfortable. I gave her the foot massages throughout the morning and afternoon and she finally pooped (it was a lot of poop!!) in the evening. Hi there 😊, normally, we do this once a day, for example as part of a bed time routine. However, if required you can also do it more often. There are no side effects because all this treatment does is balance baby's digestive system. That said, it also depends on what you do this treatment for. If you do it for constipation, the problem should be resolved after one treatment only. Tummy aches on the other hand may require regular treatments - depending on the exact cause of it.... And this particular treatment can be done anytime, even before and after meals (this does not apply to all treatments that we show on our channel). Normally though, we do this after the baby ate because when they are hungry, it can be difficult to do this as they will be restless. However, when we say medical issues, they don't necessarily have to be "severe" ones. So, please don't worry just yet! Second, it could simply be that your baby is not constipated. We have observed many times that such young babies, particularly if they are exclusively breastfed, often go weeks without pooping although they are not constipated. If this does not work either (and it SHOULD work within 4 hours tops), then we do encourage you to talk with a pediatrician about it! When I moved to the left foot and was massaging from the middle to the heel, she released 3 big farts and slept instantly. I intend doing this to her twin brother too when he finishes with his food. My 7 week old has been constipated for over a week now. Crying, grunting, fussy and completely uncomfortable. normally, we do this once a day, for example as part of a bed time routine. However, if required you can also do it more often. There are no side effects because all this treatment does is balance baby's digestive system.
That said, it also depends on what you do this treatment for. If you do it for constipation, the problem should be resolved after one treatment only. Tummy aches on the other hand may require regular treatments - depending on the exact cause of it....

When should we do this.. before or after meal? Upto which age this will help for constipation?

we usually do this in the morning and in the evening. And this particular treatment can be done anytime, even before and after meals (this does not apply to all treatments that we show on our channel).
Normally though, we do this after the baby ate because when they are hungry, it can be difficult to do this as they will be restless.
This treatment can help children at any age (even grown-ups) UNLESS there are emotional reasons why the child is constipated (like for example because the child does not want to go to school etc.)

Hi ! My almost 2 year old daughter is severely constipated. She is on medication too but hasn’t been able to poop and today was day 3. there can be several reasons for that, most importantly, the following ones:
First of all, there could be underlying medical issues (such as certain diseases). However, when we say medical issues, they don't necessarily have to be "severe" ones. So, please don't worry just yet!
Second, it could simply be that your baby is not constipated. We have observed many times that such young babies, particularly if they are exclusively breastfed, often go weeks without pooping although they are not constipated.

If this does not work either (and it SHOULD work within 4 hours tops), then we do encourage you to talk with a pediatrician about it!

When I moved to the left foot and was massaging from the middle to the heel, she released 3 big farts and slept instantly. I intend doing this to her twin brother too when he finishes with his food. The difference is important because this treatment can certainly help an 8 months old toddler. However, it may not necessarily help an 8 year old child.
