I hate the episodes where good people and their reputations are ruined, even though the real bad guy goes to prison. It's not worth the win at those times.

It's kind of weird how outstanding young male actors usually are in SVU episodes. One of the most realistic depictions of a troubled kid I've ever seen is the one where the parents of a boy kept their child's abuser safe for hush money and it always felt awful that the aggressor didn't get what he deserved and the young boy didn't get the help he needed. The episodes from the first seasons really were something else.
This is one of the most accurate portrayals of the vindictiveness that some people have that I have ever seen. It's sad that this kind of thing happens in real life.
Question to lawyers: can’t he sue the girls’ parents? The DA might not want to put the 4 years olds on the stand but a monetary lawsuit could, right? And if parents don’t want the 4 years old on the stand, they can just agree to the terms of the lawsuit, right? Maybe losing most of their money would at least teach those girls a lesson. And if the school won’t give him his job back, he can sue for that too, right? With some firm that does pro bono work?
Absolutely he can sue them for defamation. In order to have a defamation case, you basically have to have three conditions met: 1) someone made statements about you knowing that they were false, 2) the statements were made publicly, either in writing or vocally, and 3) the statements caused great financial burden to you. He lost his job because of those false allegations, he should sue those girls and their parents for all they're worth. Especially since he'll probably never be able to teach because of the stain to his reputation, at least he can try to recoup some money to be able to live off of savings for a while until he can figure out a new path in terms of a career.
Amazing that homophobia blinds people to who the vast majority of molesters are to the detriment of the child. As for those malignant, spoiled girls they need to be in debt for the rest of their lives.

@jakeilano6821 this was one of Olivia's biggest failures, especially since a similar crime happened when Stabler was still her partner. It took the ex-husband setting his ex-wife ON FIRE for Olivia to realise that she was lying.
Those girls are the perfect example of the dangers of the "self-esteem" movement. Telling people they are amazing at something their whole lives, when they really aren't, while giving them whatever they want just makes them vindictive and lash out when they are confronted with the truth or told no.
That’s why honest communication with children as early as when they can first ask a question is always better in the end. Don’t dumb it down, don’t hide the truth from them, be honest! Having seen the show, it’s remarkable how often the team not only arrests the wrong person, but also occasionally engages in police brutality towards them. They really should have been sued ten times over.
The only silver lining is the hope that Jackie sued the NYPD and got a big cash settlement. Olivia is too quick a lot of the time to believe an accusation as soon as it's made. If she says "it's my job to believe the victims," someone should say "only after you've proven they're victims."
I had this happen to a friend of mine. Sadly a week after the charges were dropped he killed himself. This episode reminds me of him and pisses me off!!!!
The damage the girls inflicted on their brothers is going to be their punishment. It's not something that will go away, the brothers and parents will always doubt whatever those girls say going forward and as the boys grow up and better understand what happened they'll likely resent them for making them the face for child molestation that didn't happen. Also even their light sentence will affect their lives in a major way, they're NEVER getting into another dance program as a minor and are likely not going to cut it in the adult field either. Loved the actor for the accused guy, he nailed the part. You could feel the dawning horror of injustice that he realizes he can't fight against. Perfect example of Woke Gen Z. These entitled girls were angry that they were told they have no talent that they forced their brothers to lie about a kind man hurting them. I was ready to believe in his guilt, but i had doubt. Especially with the way Mega Karen came out of the woodwork lying. She helped to encourage the lies. The girls hurt their brothers physically and emotionally and hurt the teacher too. Mega Karen probably orchastrated it like she did with her ex husband. I feel bad for the boys, ex husband and the teacher. This is too sad and too common. It needs to end. And the girls should get more than a year's probation. It's like they are mocking children and the man who's career was almost destroyed.
Couldn't they have checked for fingerprints on the "magic egg"? Sure, there might've been a lot of traces of fingerprints. But there could've been ones that couldn't have been accounted for, like the two girls who had no business being in that classroom. And if the teacher says it isn't his, then his fingerprints shouldn't be on it; on the chance he was lying, then his fingerprints would be on there.

2:07. Those horrible teenage girls might be to blame for Mr. Jackie having his life ruined, but the real culprit of how his fall from grace began is that lawyer or whatever she is. Surely she could’ve waited just a few hours until after his classes were over and he wouldn’t have looked so bad by comparison.
Those girls never got punished. Jackie would've been 100% justified if he went down the same route as that ex-husband who was falsely accused by his wife in the episode Burned.

The step father was trying to get money out of them, he's in jail right now. Also, it is not FU money, it is just "I can have a comfortable life" type of money, not even rich. But yeah. There's people that won't hesitate in ruining your life.
Just because you are female doesn’t mean you should automatically believe all victims. Not all of them are good people.
Kids aren't dumb but selfishness does go pretty far.
This show really emphasize the stupidity of this show. The entire SUV squad are not good cops
Easy to say that now when you know what Happened during the show you wasn’t thinking that
Unfortunately, this situations do happen in real life. The show pulls cases from the headlines.
I love kids love to interact with them but god I would never no way against my will I rather die I can't get this thought out of my head
When the little girl, I knew instantly it was bs!😭
Well that is a truly sad thing that happened to him
My family would have blamed me for being abused if I was this kid .
You have horrible parents I’m very sorry for you.
I always hated this episode because those bratty teenagers got away with ruining an innocent man's life.
I hate it when people hurt children the very thing that sets me off is a child molester or a abusive brat, it is unacceptable and quite vile that anyone would dare to hurt others especially children.
Where is this rage coming from? The teacher didn’t do it!
Kids say the darndest things
Ok, I’m a little lost, how the episode went?
He was innocent
They lie about Jackie
The sisters couch their brother to lie
@@laurafabianmarrero how? They made them lie by threatening them?
thats some shady bs. they wanted to destroy that innocent guys career.
Those girls are the worst, just like the 2 from that one case of two girls who killed a kid, and blamed on the guy with mental problems.
Good thing my kids never did anything
I remember this episode. The sisters coached their brothers and lied till the lie couldn’t be held up anymore. All cuz one girl was jealous that her “friend” got more attention (because she actually had potential and the other girl didn’t). Plus the damage to his reputation and “confronting” him with it in public! NYPD seriously dropped the ball with this one. And then the parents made it no better
Did I just see Taylor Hicks and Clay Aiken from American Idol?
This episode reminds me so much of why God said Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
Medicine is grueling but makes money as a career. It's good he got encouragement.
a blue tv pill.
What episode and season is this?
Geez, what kind of a world we live in where the description means absolutely nothing to anyone anymore these days?
Go find a dictionary and look up the word description. You might learn something.
Those accusations are always bad but when you’re gay they are life destroying, simply for being rumours. They don’t even need to be true.
This man should have sued big time. Benson and Amoro were way out of line. Rollins was the only one with a cool head.
Lie detector test is a good thing
Is legal cops be alterated
One thing about special victims unit, how to make false statements to police officers just to try to get people in jail cause the person‘s haven’t done nothing wrong If this really did happen in real life, I could smell a fat lawsuit against the special victims unit where kids decide they wanna make a false ,This TV show gives kids bad ideas to watch. No parents not let their kids watch this kind of movies.
the music i listen to, is about how the space police hurt bad people.
If the man had been straight this would have made a better episode
How?
Why people always sane gay ppl have some weird link to pefos
🤖
That girl is a sociopath. Reacting with that kind of rage to something this banal.
Maybe she should have went to prison, at least like that no one would have to listen to her self-righteous whining.
She was just some spoiled brat
Don’t poke the bear and you won’t get eaten
@@mateicoconu6197 she should've gotten the same punishment the ex-wife in that episode Burned got.
Always investigate through out everything from the way a child behavior is to correct DNA test analysis some people that are innocent goes to prison for wrong when the real criminal is still out there searching for new pray I love this show Olivia character remind me of my life
Never watched this before but I kind like this
Y
Is that the dude who played Electro?
Please tell me you are joking! It cannot be possible to misconstrued that this stupidly. please tell me you are joking!
if to i fell into glass and my feet bled out all over the place and i die and came back to life so how do i live again after that? i dont its hell on earth to because a space alien either wants to keep me alive or they doesnt so what do?
Everything that happened in this episode was a mockery of justice.
I Love Rollins
Couldn't they have checked for fingerprints on the "magic egg"? Sure, there might've been a lot of traces of fingerprints. But there could've been ones that couldn't have been accounted for, like the two girls who had no business being in that classroom. And if the teacher says it isn't his, then his fingerprints shouldn't be on it; on the chance he was lying, then his fingerprints would be on there.
Why do people on here think it's real
A lot of the cases in the show are based on real life cases
Nothing on this comments said people think is real
Hint on why they use the charathers name genius
They áre talking about the show and the charather
I'd have sued for the money lost been falsely locked he was right Olivia didn't want to know Mr Jackie's side of it. She was all bent on locking him up. To hear District attorney to say they wont be charging the girls because it will destroy them that peed me off. the girls should be locked up or punished. All because they heard something they didn't like they wasn't good enough for the signing competition
what happens next
the girls get to go home and Jackie is ruined forever a happy ending.
Petty emotion can lead people to great disaster.
every time i see this episode i get SO angry. its a great episode but the way they ruined the teacher's life is just.. ugh
Nick was a real trash cop in this one. O Ben’s jumped the gun arrogantly too. So frustrating
its that weird gay guy that wore the dress at the dnc...lol
Those girls never got punished. Jackie would've been 100% justified if he went down the same route as that ex-husband who was falsely accused by his wife in the episode Burned.

We need a new episode where a group of falsely accused by SVU return to try and get the unit shutdown, it should be a massive mid season/finale where things get very dramatic
That is what I always fantasize about
There’s a moral to this story,DO NOT MAKE FALSE ACCUSATIONS OF CHILD MOLESTATION, if you do, then you should go to prison for as long as a real serial Pedophile should.
Most importantly,
1 of the 7 things God Hates, A Lying Tongue.
To all who are sinners, repent and believe the gospel of Jesus, for though we are born as sinners, we can die saints bought by the blood of Jesus Christ so that we could go to heaven.
I think this was based on the star search scandal
i think more recently #americanidol since "Star Search" was a show from 1983.

Like mother like daughter , She learned from her mother seeing her torture their father
i hate the "sucking" that the amy rose do. i dislike it. it was not supposed to happen.
Seriously come on pedophiles
What are you talking about? The teacher did do anything.
Great example of the value of lawyering up
This episode was crazy. The girls did this all because they wanted him to coach them for talent shows like the one he was on and was told they didn’t have it. I get being upset but to do all of this to him …That was just insane. And the fact his whole life was ruin. No one had his back either. It’s like he already had two strikes against him before any evidence. Even though it was finally proven he was innocent, the damage was already done. He can’t go back to teaching or coaching. It was national news.
