I love how the guy in the picture shop saw the pictures and got straight up "hell no" mode. If you see something suspicious, CALL THE AUTHORITIES, never think twice, it's better when you do wrong trying to do the right then when you let the wrong go cause you're too careless

when i worked in a photo department i always paged through the prints no matter how big an order. It was fun to see people having a good time on vacations and celebrations.
Had to kick out multiple men. I will also never forget the idiot that had me cover to help on the kiosk, idk if he thought only the first like five pics uploaded. Nah, its like forty and it was like a few pics of him with what looked like his wife and children. Posed with love.
And then endless pictures of a totally different chick in lingerie, them fucking and stuff. I was like sir why are you letting me see this.

As a parent you cannot carelessly trust your children to be alone with other adults, especially not "teachers" be it public, private, music, catholic, muslim, buddhist, and and and... you also cannot leave them alone with teenagers considering they are the biggest child predators in the statistics. Leaving them with Grandparents might be the only times you can leave them alone, but only IF nothing has happened before cuz every time grandparents do hurt their grandchildren it does not come out of surprise it has happened before which I find crazy cuz why would you leave your child alone with someone who has a record. Make sure you teach your children about good and bad touches and teach them to tell you everything and not keep secrets from you so you can protect them in case something bad happens.

I think it’s because it opens a can of worms. Would a swim coach be necessarily doing something immoral by having pictures of his team in speedos? You could make the argument that the piano teacher’s methods are “different” and that he wanted his students to be free and loose or something. Or how about a parent having photos of their kids on the beach? It sounds absurd and it’s frustrating that these “obvious” clues aren’t probably cause in the court of law, but this also prevents a whole lot of other problems. I mean imagine if you could raid every single parent’s house for having pictures of their children swimming.

The underlying message of the episode is that the abused can be abusers too. The other clip showing that the long term kid grew up and started molesting kids too is what sucks because now, as a society, we have to treat him like his abuser. How harshly doesn’t matter in prison, because a molestar is a molestar. The detectives know that he was taught to keep it secret and that it’s normal. But to the outside, “he should have known that they didn’t like it, so why do they think it’s okay to do it to other young ones.” The sad truth is, because it became so normalized, it doesn’t feel like they are doing something wrong as long as there is a lesson to teach.

The acting raises awareness for this sort of thing and I'm sure the parents were allowed on set to intervene if they weren't comfortable with anything. While it's uncomfortable to see young children portrayed like this, that is in fact the point of the show. Some people are more comfortable with being an example to make people more comfortable with discussing these difficult topics. It can be hard to separate show from reality, but the child was still somewhat clothed and there were a full crew of people there to reassure the child that everything was fine. I'm sure the actor who played the perv was also there to let the kid know that it was only for tv. It seems creepy from an outside perspective, but I'd rather everything be up-front and in-your-face than the stuff that goes on behind the scenes of children's shows... Wow........ 1st 9 seconds reminded me of Dudley Johnson and Arnold from Different Strokes.
I remember that episode came with a Public Service Announcement of sorts.
It's like Dudley was t.v's 1st special victim.
    Strange.....

Larry Holt barely spoke which tells you he doesn't care or deep down he is horrified by his actions but doesn't want to show it.

    • @The-invisible-Christian

Yeah he ends up abusing one kid ( the one who was in the photos) and after seeing what happened with Holt at court he decides to take the prosecutors plea so the kid doesn't have to testy.

@@The-invisible-Christian why doesn’t it matter? The teacher groomed him his entire life. He’s terrified of him, he even tries to convince not make him do it, but it doesn’t work, so he does it, because he saw no way to escape the situation. That’s how stuff like that works. He did have some part in abusing the kid, sure, but he’s not a monster, like the show makes him out to be.
