    Now that I'm deep into IF, I have nothing but joy looking forward to the feasting season. If I maintain, I'm celebrating. If I gain a bit, I now have the tools to get back to maintenance. No worries. I really appreciate the abundance vs scarcity mindset tip!

    One of the best videos on this channel. As mentioned in this video, maintaining the eating 'habits' and not necessarily the 'weight' is a process that varies greatly from person to person. Be persistent and it will happen.
    We came back from a holiday yesterday. During our holiday, I manged to fast 3 days and enjoyed a big meal in the evening and for 2 days I allowed myself to enjoy eating all day. It was holiday after all.

    Hey Lexi, I hope you are enjoying the autumn leaves and the exciting vacations, holidays, and family celebrations coming up. This video really helped me out mentally since it’s really hard for me to break my habits that I adopted during my vacation in Greece. I added a few 16-20hr fasts here and there, and towards the end I ended up eating more carbs and sugars that I would have liked…but it was enjoyable!! I totally felt like I needed to fast, I craved feeling the emptiness in my stomach, it’s amazing how one year of ADF can change how we eat. However, because of me ignoring my “full” signals…I ended up eating way more to the point of feeling sick. I haven’t gone on the scale, but I am a belt size bigger on the waist, everything else fits fine. My dad’s encouraging me saying I’ll lose the small weight gain even faster, and I’m thinking of adding weight training since I’d like to get stronger. Anyway, I truly enjoy watching your videos, they always come at the perfect time ❤ if you are ever in UT I’d love to meet you! Take care!

      Hey! Im glad you had an amazing time in Greece! I remember you talking about going. Don’t worry about the weight gain, just try to get back into those habits, and when you feel mentally strong enough you can check in with the scale as an accountability tool!     I’m on adf fast. And I’m trying to do 36 hours. Worst come to worst I do omad. I have not slept cause I’m so use to eating and sleeping. When I wanna sleep I eat. And I wake up and eat. I need to get my sleeping under control. I’m trying to do intermittent fasting for 30 days. I don’t care what I do I need to fast. I’m 225. Was 221. I’m really wanting to lose weight. Really trying to stop binge eating and really trying to do better.

    Hi Lexi! Happy Monday, though I have to admit I felt a little lost last Thursday without your video 😅 You’ve nailed it there about maintaining your good habits more than fasting. My daughter is on two weeks holiday from today and I’ve said to myself, I’ll work harder to maintain good habits this time, tired of the start stop around her school terms. Especially with sleep, otherwise my night owl traits would creep back and before I know it. I’ll be up till 2am and be tempted to late night snacking!

      Ooh I honestly don’t think I could stay up till 2 am if I tried! 🥱😂 I hope you enjoy your time with your daughter, time passes so quickly!! And sorry about the schedule change, I’m not sure if I’ll stay on Monday’s, I was just thinking it may be more helpful for most people since mondays are tough for most! Here’s to good habits and having fun!🥳

      @@MomFasting hahaha morning people are so lucky since the benefits of it is so much more. Mondays are hard for people? Really? I thought Mondays are easiest cos it’s beginning of the week and you would be more motivated? It is for me anyway 😅

      @@patriciawai4791 true! There are 2 sides to it…I guess Wednesday’s are my toughest day! Mondays are sometimes hard because people feel like they ruined everything over the weekend…but yeah, it depends!

      Yeah, sometimes. 😃 But more so the materialistic side of Christmas…all the presents and whatnot is what I get tired of, and also wanting to declutter the decorations and everything. It’s fun while it lasts and then I’m ready for a change 😀

      @@MomFasting my husband is a Christmas freak!! Lol…. Our house is too small for all he wants to decorate 🤣🤣🤣 so I get claustrophobic. Plus we have a large dog and I’m sure she feels the same way😳

    Hi Lexi, thank you for your input in this. So do you fast one complete day and the next day you have an open eating period? I’ve been doing omad and wanted to switch something.

      Yes I do! Since I do 4:3, I fast Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with no food at all. The other days are typically an 8 hr eating window approximately, but I don’t limit myself to that. Saturdays are a little longer, Sundays a little shorter. But I do change my schedule as the need arises. 😀
