    I am rarely tempted to break my fasts MWF. but I am finally owning up to the fact that I need to start restricting sweet treats on my eating days. I am maintaining about a 25 lb loss with ADF no problem...but I need to lose several more lbs. I generally graze on sweet things all day long on eat days! Seriously !!..I decided to make it as simple as ADF...I only allow sweet treats on Sundays, Holidays or Birthday Parties. I've made it through one week...tommorow is Sunday And a Birthday party !

    I always ask myself "Are you hungry or Are you bored" it's most time bored and I have some water and the hunger passes.

    Great video and advice, Lexi. I was sick during December for the first time since I can remember, and guess what? December was the only month of 2022 when I didn’t do a prolonged fast (minimum three days and max 11) in addition to my ADF. I love to fast, and I know how good it is for me. As to breaking the fast(s), I am pretty headstrong about staying in it. When it comes to hunger, I like to say - move a muscle, change a thought. My hunger is normally short-lived until I get to like the fourth day on a prolonged fast, and that’s when I really have to pay attention to what my body is saying, which is what I use to dictate the length of my fast. ADF is never a problem for me. Thanks for all you do for us, and here’s hoping you are feeling better! 🙏

    Hi Lexi. I recently found your channel and I must say, you have great content! I'm surprised you don't have a lot more subscribers. Anyway, I've decided to commit the month of April to doing 4:3 with my fasting days on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Oh and I enjoyed your video about meal planning. Great advice on that one!!

    I saw this in my feed right after I broke my fast. Haha! I always hear Gin say that the 500 cal. down day is an option, and it still means you're doing ADF. BUT, you are losing the advantages of autophagy, right? I had a 385 cal "meal" and then restarted my fasting app. But tomorrow is still supposed to be an Up day without restriction, right? Am I understanding? I sort of feel like I let myself down by having that mini-meal, but I feel so much better now without the hunger pangs. Boy, it's a real head-game, isn't it?!!

      You didn’t do anything wrong at all! Some people always do ADF with the 500 cal down day and love it! So if that works for you, or works for you on some days, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Yes, it may interfere with some of the fasting benefits, but it’s so small that you’re still getting tons of great benefits! So good for you and fast on! 🥳

    Hello Lexi! You do sound rough, is your cold not getting better? How have you been otherwise? I listened to the TRE episode of fasting method last week and decided to be more mindful of my eating because I was grazing once I open my eating window. I finally picked myself up last week and things are falling into place, mentally especially. Doing daily windows and focusing on not grazing, and feeling more in control of my eating. Something I haven’t felt for quite a long time now. I hope you’re keeping well xx

      That’s awesome! I’ve been focusing more on that TRE mindset as well. I do feel better when I don’t graze. And thanks for asking, I actually am totally better-my videos were filmed out of order so I filmed last week’s video after this one, and this one was filmed a few weeks ago. So yes, once I got back to 4:3 my cold went away. 🥳 I’m so glad you’re mental health is improving, do you have anything fun to look forward to? Thanks for checking in, and always good to see you!

      @@MomFasting ah I see, that explains why you didn’t sound as bad last week 😅 glad to hear you’ve recovered! The TRE reminded me of my more sensible diet days, I would tell myself to focus on eating only 3 main meals and no snacking. Though I can’t remember if I was successful in losing weight back or if I even stayed consistent with it. I’ve been focusing on my running form and doing some stability exercise and I’m excited to see if it keeps the aches and pain away after some time. We might be going to Dubai for a short holiday in Feb, I can’t wait to see my fav beach and cycle through the desert again. Do you have anything to look forward to help pass winter?
