One of my top 5 favourite Fantastic Four runs. Can't wait to pick it up. If someone was to ask me what the best starting place is for modern Fantastic Four, this would be my top choice. It's a lot of fun and has some great character moments.
I remember this run starting right as I was graduating college. I loved picking up every issue of it especially as I was starting to leave the Avengers as it was going downhill for me. I’ve been on the fence about getting the omnibus, but the nostalgia is starting to convince me to purchase it.
Excited for this one. Been a quiet couple of months for Marvel Omnis that interest me but now seems to be hitting the period of titles coming out every other week 👌
This was a very good run, but I wish that they would do the Carlos Pacheco/ Jeph Loeb run as well. Even though Carlos's illness prevented him from completing it.
Would like to have seen that Wieringo art on the front and back boards, the new design looks a little ‘meh’ to me. Nice to have this book back in print though, love the DM cover!
I can't wait to finally own the omni of my fav FF run!!! I have been waiting a few years for marvel to reprint this!!!! As soon as they announced it, i had to pre-order at my LCS!!!!I 😁
I'm doing a read of all the 1998 Heroes Return titles at the moment (Avengers, Thor, Cap etc) Could I effectively treat this as a jumping on point along with them, as the original Heroes Return FF by Lobdell isn't the greatest or does it rely a little on the previous 60 issues for story?
Like you Omar, this my favourite Fantastic Four run. It was the first one I ever read and while I don't think I've read the entirety of it, I've read a good portion. For me, with all due respect to those who came before, I haven't read anything other FF run that has surpassed this. The 'Unthinkable' and 'Hereafter' stories _have_ to rank highly in a list of top ten greatest FF tales of all time. I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Also, I would love to see a FF by Tom DeFalco & Paul Ryan omnibus someday soon!🤞🏾🤞🏾
@@NearMintCondition I read the first issue which was #60 and I’m immediately hooked. I got a bit teary with Reed’s admission of guilt to Valeria. No comic book has achieved to make me laugh and cry and pay attention in a first issue.
@@kickin3398 Hickmans run was the least FF of the 4. FF is supposed to be fun, goofy, silly adventures. Hickman was the synder of FF. Not that it’s bad I really enjoyed it, but it wasn’t FF
I always hate when people say an artist is “too cartoony” like that’s not a criticism at all. Especially true for the Fantastic Four who rely on so much a readers suspension of disbelief.
If they were to ever use Dr Doom in the MCU, aside from how terrible and idea that is given the state of MCU now, he should basically be the Mark Waid version wrapped in the noble Demon, well intended extremists aspects of Victor
Livin off borrowed time the clock ticks faster,
and living of buying books the wallet gets thinner
This is a must have for any FF fan!
I would love me some Tom DeFalco Fantastic Four in Omnibus format!
Yes.
Unthinkable arc is crazy dark, i loved it as i read it in the Book of Doom omni and was left wanting more so i need to get this omni

Just finished reading the Hickman run, definitely will be picking this up. Thanks for the recommendation! 🎉
One of the best doctor doom moments happen in this book
Ultimate Fantastic 4 omnibus also needs some love!
Hell yeah!!! Nobody's given Ultimate Fantastic Four respect.
it aint as good as people say (not saying its bad tho)
@@ariellachayne1866i was told it was bad so when i read it i was actually pleasantly surprised so i’d say its better than most say
I would get ultimate FF
@jessemillan1385 probably because it's terrible.😂
when you REALLY love a story, its so apparent and i love it HAHA

Love the DM, cover looks so much better and classic for the fantastic four.
Excited for this one.

I pre-ordered this as my first FF book, but amazon had omni vol 1 for free so I'll probably finish vol 1 and pick up vol 2 first.
This might be my favourite one and done marvel omnibus. The best FF run since Lee/Kirby hands down.
Favorite f4 run. Been waiting for 4 years for this to be reprinted.
Standard cover looks way better, i appreciate you showing both.
Okay, I did it, I pulled the trigger! Hype!
I missed out on this. I plan to grab it. I like the DM but I'm not going to stress. The standard cover looks great and has the dm on the back.
I picked up a Std cover copy last year, but dang, I could go for that DM cover..
Best FF run ever and one of my most wanted reprints. Now can we please get Captain America by Waid reprinted or expanded?
Yes! And Iron Man by Fraction Omni.
Yes! (I voted this one really high)
This was a very good run, but I wish that they would do the Carlos Pacheco/ Jeph Loeb run as well. Even though Carlos's illness prevented him from completing it.
Can’t wait

Id personally love to see the James Robinson run in omni or hardcover format. As for favourite run of the FF I can't really decide.
The James Robinson run is extremely overlooked, but one of my favorites too! 👍🏼
damn, that new printing taking Ozempic
I have the 3 Hardcovers that make up this run; would you say anything about the Omnibus making it a necessary upgrade?

You just have to know about Valeria really.

Does anyone know if Marvel will reprint the X-Men: Inferno omnibus? I hope I will be able to get that for my collection.
I don't know which run on Fantastic Four I need to read. Waid or Hickman.
Both :)
Both are great for different reasons.
Is this a good starting point for reading Fantastic Four, I know a lot about the characters but I just want a good jumping on point
100% it is.
@@NearMintCondition I read the first issue which was #60 and I’m immediately hooked. I got a bit teary with Reed’s admission of guilt to Valeria. No comic book has achieved to make me laugh and cry and pay attention in a first issue.
To me, best runs of FF are Lee/Kirby and Byrne. BY FAR.
1) Lee Kirby
2) Waid
3) Bryne
4) Hickman
My FF ranking
Hickman>Byrne imo

FF Heroes Return & Ultimate FF Omnis please!!
Is this a good jumping on point if i dont know much about F4? thanks!
It 100% was meant to be and is.

I kinda hated Mark Millar & Hitch omni. It was so unnecessary. Is this better?
Miles better.

Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four by Mike Wieringo will never be reprinted in a nice format 😔

Not the best FF run, but hanging up there
1) FF DeFalco no after that’s it
That was a crazy and wild run. And Paul Ryan doesn’t get enough credit for his solid art during that run.
