@daviHuggMonster yeah, sound preview (like we had in Omnisphere 2 for ages) is really what makes sound search fun! Really weird how a browser feature can make an instrument so much more enjoyable. 😂💪 Falcon has always had one of the best sounding engines and algorithms. So its really a fresh comeback with this update. I’m def gonna be using it a ton more myself. 🥳🥁🎹
@@MattiasHolmgren nope, I use presets. If I have one critique of Falcon it's a pain to program. That's due to the sheer complexity but that gives it its superpower, versatility. You can't have it all When it comes to patch creation I prefer hardware with lots of controls and minimal menu diving
Nice overview. Agree, Omnisphere and Native Instruments (for example) are making these kinds of improvements. Also "Pulsacion" has a great and unique, musical quality I think will help inspire lots of ideas.
ive updated falcon but no audio previews and no banks shown in the search(soundware ) they show up fine in the orginal soundbanks folder ..any idea how to fix this?
Same here. After updating to Falcon 3.1 and installing the "Tag Library" there are no entries in the browser for "Instrument", "Timbre" and "Soundware". Do one has to do a kind of rescan?
@Manfreloe1 i didn’t have to do anything except updating from 3.0.3 to 3.1. I would reach out to UVi support. Check if there is a rescan libs option. Check the lib folder location is correct too and that the libs are there!
@@MattiasHolmgren I´ve been away from my Music-PC for an hour. Then switched to the Soundbank (file) browser and back to the "Library search brwoser" and voila - the list has been updated and is filled now
Hi, hmm good question, I would say, listen to demos and find out if you would like more options and possible sounds. Omnisphere 2 has a wonderful sound source library that will last you ages. Falcon also has great sounds and great sounding "engines" for synthesis and effects. I think both are amazing products in their own right. They do overlap very much "sound wise" IMO. They are both the master flagships of all software instruments. 🥳
It seems like those of us who get the free update, don’t get the Modular Drums or other free pack, if anyone knows how to get those, as I’m hoping I’m wrong, please let me know!
ooooooh have to launch my uvi launcher.
Oh yes. Really like this new Falcon 3.1 update and sound preview feature.
@@MattiasHolmgren indeed another real cool feature, normaly I do not load falcon often just to play presets, that might change^^

The gift that keeps on giving. My go to VST ❤
Awesome, yeah it’s a sick sound engine in Falcon! Do you mostly create your own patches or use the factory / expansion presets?

nice update and the tag browser was a real need
Absolutely! 💪🥁🥳

I bought this yesterday. Half price and money off voucher. It's an amazing VST. Can't wait to get stuck into it.
Congrats Steven! 💪🥳 Yeah it’s really among the top instruments.
The browser is a great improvement I had been waiting for so long
💪 Yeah it's a sweet facelift and makes it so much easier to pick sounds!
Wow Amazing sounds and update
The Falcon has landed. 👌🥳 the new expansions are super fun!
Flipping through snares is my second job...
Haha, same here. It’s the joy of life….not 😂🥳
Great update
yeah, might seem like a small one, but it really makes the difference to get the browsing right...and sound preview! 😄
Love the synth, but on Intel Mac with Sequoia, the standalone and plugin crash to desktop when selecting the new browser
yeah, intel mac with Monterey and the vst crashes as well

Check lower left bottom corner. does it say 3.1? Did you install "Tag Library" in UVI portal?

After deleting and reinstalling the “Tag Library” I saw a short indexing-run. After that everything is Ok now
As an owner of Omnisphere would you say it is worth it buying falcon?

Update does not include expansions. The expansions are bought sepatately.
@@MattiasHolmgren okay thanks, I figured, but thought I would ask!
@Larjschoen1 good point, I bet more people will have the same question. 👍🎸
Huh so half off, 50$ voucher for a soundbank and BOGO. You have my attention, just need to pick what I want now.
Indeed a great time to jump on the Falcon back for a sound ride. 🥳🎹🎂
You won’t regret it mate it’s at the very top of the tree. There is little this synth can’t do
Still no NKS ?
Some of the newer libraries have NKS i believe
Just finally got out of the ni ecosystem. Best decision i ever made. Felt so corpo gross
Native Instruments FTW
Music FTW!
