This is the most important update for Falcon in years. The only reason for me to sometimes be hesitant to use Falcon was the way you had to search for a sound. This is so good.
I agree, Frank. Also I tended to organize libraries into Uvi player or Falcon main folders, so now I want to re-install EVERYTHING and just use this new version as all Falcon.
This upgrade is very important, not only will it speed up the process of writing, but chances are you will discover incredible sounds, patches in your library, that you didn’t even know you had -:)
Great video - love to watch you composing. I have to say UVI Falcon 3 has been the most significant musical discovery for me since the heady days of Omnisphere 2. It's a noodler's delight - a vast, vast treasure box of possibilities. I immediately took out a subscription to Sonic Pass. I don't think there's a better value subscription - certainly for me. Also, I particularly like your contributions to the sound library - your name is always a marque of quality and your sounds (especially those beautiful arps and sequences) never disappoint. Do some more!
Really nice and appreciated update. As welcome would be user defined tags. Alternatively, to not clutter the tagging system, then perhaps User Collections or User Projects. I have so many sessions of auditioning sounds and taking sound notes for particular projects that a User Collection/Project system of some sort in the UVI system would make such a huge library even more functionally wonderful.
I love UVI, I like Falcon but I wish they would put a Color Theme changer I feel the space is to Dark for me which puts me off using it as much as I could, My Daws are Blue themed so when I open up a Brown/grey Vst it doesnt really go the browser update is helpfull so hopefuly next Update the Color Theme issue can be updated as well🙂
I had hoped that with any browser update that would also implement a feature something similar to Omnisphere where you can seek similar sounds and group them together in proximity to each other based on how close it is to the original sound you are searching for similar sounds to. I feel they missed a beat with that one. Oh well can't win them all but I will continue to live in hope
I just bought another loopy moopy instrument from the “other” guys which I don’t prefer. In the immediacy of the decision looked to me that one was more what I needed. Watching this now I can tell that was a mistake. Damn it.
Wow, Falcon updated! Have UVI added a horizontal grid to the Multi Envelope editor? It would be nice to be able to snap vertically for writing tone sequences. Thanks UVI, amazing product!
In 1:51 it seems there are no tags for "World Suite 3" for Instrument and Timbre. Is that intentionally or maybe not supported yet for "World Suite 3" ?
Interface is similar to Kontakt 8. Looks great, can’t wait to get home from work and use Waves SVI to run them both side by side. LOve Falcon. It’s definitely my main instrumentation VSTi. Graphics look nice too. Upgraded or do you just have a killer monitor solution? Nice video. Thanks.
I thought this would make it possible to not automount all the modules but it seems that a soundware has to be mounted for Falcon to load a preset from it. The search functionality is fantastic, though.
Great idea, they need to work on it though, Bass is not a choice for Instrument here, but as soon as I choose Synth, I get Bass as a sub category of synth. That's an annoying limitation on searching for bass, it should be the other way around, period. In fact bass is only a category in "synth", but selecting World Suite3 first and searching Bass I get 84 hits... ugh.
Love this update! I updated falcon, did the tags install thing and I still don't show any results or tags on the search tab. Any advice on how to get this working? It's been probably 30 minutes and I've restarted Ableton Live a couple times. Is there a step I missed?
@@robmlisanti did you have have to keep Falcon opened the entire time? Did it indicate somewhere in the plugin that it was scanning or updating those? I don't see any indication it's doing something and it's been open a loooong time.
thanks for the presentation, I would also like to know about the mastering chain (.. and what DAW Cameron is using there) the two new expansions are also interesting, think I'll get them
Excellent Update which was a NEED btw!!! Excellent work Cameron I'd say ;-) ... anyway to get some informations about you'r mastering chain? Thanks Venus :-)
I have some of my larger UVI libraries installed on an external HD to save space on my MacBook… Does the Falcon 3.1 search update work ok with some libraries stored on the internal HD and others stored on external HD?
Maybe too much cheating to some, but I'd love to see a browser where you could drag in a track it analyses and then shows all the similar presets to what was used in that track grouped by sound type. Bonus if you click on the sound and then it displays all the tags that sound would be associated with.
If anyone has the issue I had when upgrading in that the indexing does not happen, I was able to fix the issue by going into Falcon Preferences, clicking the Soundbanks icon and then putting a check mark in the "indexed" box for all your sound bank search paths. Close Falcon and restart. Fixed!
No, you’re not. A couple of us have mentioned that. I have Kontakt 8 also and love what they did with their interface. UVI picked a great model to emulate. Why do I have to work?? Why can’t I just stay home and play?? Now you may be thinking; ‘Are you 5?’ My response would be, ‘Yeah, sometimes’ Lol
This might be the reason I drop Kontakt❤. Having big libraries and not able to quickly find something fast is bad. Why I end up using serum and Nexus anyways. Now I don't have to
This is like using AI and cheating, amazing that you don't even have to know music theory to make a game trailer when you've spent thousands on all the sound libraries, not even any chords and harmony are needed, mostly just drag and drop. Young musicians have never had it easier to cook something up just like Venus Theory has in 30 minutes. LOL
What is this??? Semler demonstration??? Then why is this done by a person who does not know how to play, but only presses one note with his finger and wags his tongue???((((
All those inspiring sounds, now with a proper workflow. Thanks UVI!

Spot on!
mmmh bizar they had a decent search function and now they have what arturia V collection has, so its good to move forward
@@OfficialStevenCravis no need just update it and install the tag Library and done
@@Italliving thank you. So it will find everything even though I’ve got two separate main folders?
Direct copy of what Native Instruments have done with the browser of Komplete and Kontakt ! And that’s good news:-)
Great update, already checking the features. UVI products among my favourites
Finally the browser features are awesome ❤️ I was using the nks version in the past and now
Finally something similar inside falcon is awesome 👏
Bro the piece that you just composed is FANTASTIC !!!!
Thank you UVI❤ It's awesome. This browser will shine even more with midi learn 😊
This upgrade is extremely powerful and well thought out!! Thanks UVI!!

Finally, someone else who uses Omnipressor on the master bus, I thought I was going nuts.

Ohh yes! Lovely update. Love using this tool, and the updates keep making it better and better! Well done, friends!
So tempted! 50% off today, wow!
You will not regret it.
@@ivangonzalez3523 Thanks! I do have Halion 7, which I like. Buty Falcon will be an impulse buy :)
its for live btw !!
Nice flow & great tutorial! Thx for sharing 🙏
Great update, long awaited.
No user-defined tags and cannot tag user patches?
Thank you UVI please add this function in UVI Workstation
very good! Now the same workflow optimisation for UVI itself not just a browser and I will call it great 👍

@@psyaum9903 I think the best feature of the omnisphere browser is the sound lock function it’s the only synth I know who can do this
Awesome stuff, really happy to see recent developments - b d
Wow AMAZING. Reggathon new territory nice
Why not have a forward and back button to skip through presets, so much clicking
Nice, updating .... Adding Tag Library and woopsy daisy
So good Make sure you install the Tag Library and let Falcon index
How do I let Falcon index???
Falcon is awesome and I just picked up two expansions to support the cause.
I miss Bitwig with Cameron still.
13:04 sounds awesome, Cameron. Can you please remind us what your mastering chain consists of?
Wonderful
Wow. I tried EW but it looks like I’m coming back home to SonicPass. Love the new word descriptions. 😂😂
EW Composer Cloud and UVI Sonic Pass are the best subs around.
the update is sooooo dope

That browser looks so striking similar to latest Kantakt
Good presentation. It would be great if Cameron focused on the Falcon window. Do we need to see Cameron's face occupying 50% off the screen? 😅
Definitely.
Nice, but would be nice for similar demo but using just the stock library sources versus the paid add on ones. Do like those sounds though.

Might take longer mine took over an hour
depends on your library Falcon needs to move items into place (adding all tags etc .. ) did you install the tag library ?

I have some of my larger UVI libraries installed on an external HD to save space on my MacBook… Does the Falcon 3.1 search update work ok with some libraries stored on the internal HD and others stored on external HD?
Hi Joey,
Of course, the new browser will work, as long as the search path of your sounbanks folder is referred in your Falcon preferences.
no synth anthology 3 preview sounds?
yes... synth 3 not loading previews... many patches are also duplicated in the new browser... needs some fixes coming soon i think
Maybe too much cheating to some, but I'd love to see a browser where you could drag in a track it analyses and then shows all the similar presets to what was used in that track grouped by sound type. So we are copy-pasting from Kontakt. Nice
Other UVI libraries still have the old terrible browser, hopefully those will get updated as well
This is the only time to see Cameron now :(
Am I the only one who think the new preset browser looks just like Kontakt?
