That really shows on what level McLaren Senna is produced. GT500 already is a monster and you have to upgrade that monster to reach level of what McLaren Senna was born with.
I don’t think so at all, one is an OEM build, the other is a tuner build. Would be neat to see them side by side though to see how they perform relative to each other.
@ALMX5DP I do wonder what's the performance/dollar comparison between this and a stock gtd. GTD is 300k ish, how much in r&d parts+labor would the gt500 come out to?
No it doesn't. The GTD is a livable vehicle that you actually drive on the road. This thing is just stripped of everything and modded to all hell. Also it's not cheap to build this car in this way. The car itself is $100k, turbo kit is like $13k, and I don't even want to know how much all that carbon fiber costs lol. Still cheaper for sure but it can't be compared to a road car. It's still badass though
No it doesn't. This is cool, but it's a full gutted race car that's gonna be a pain in the ass to drive anywhere that isn't a racetrack. It's cool, but it doesn't have a warranty, it was still expensive to build, these tuner builds are generally less reliable than a factory car, and it'll lose to a GRD on most tracks.
The Senna comparison is due to the fact that until recently, it was the fastest production car to ever lap NCM Motorsports Park. That includes modified production cars on slicks. So, if you don’t like the Senna comparison, then pick anything else you’d like to compare it to, and this car is faster than that too on this track.
The Senna is a road legal million dollar race car. Why tf are yall trying to underplay the brilliance of mclaren so what if it doesn't get driven if you want to see a Senna being driven watch DDE .
Bro this is IT! Well done! Always wanted to see a GT500 get built and weight reduced knowing it could walk the super cars
Need to see more of this car
THIS IS FREAKIN AWESOMEEE!!!!!!!

Makes the GTD look stupid

Built cars are better at being fast for less money, but they aren't the full well rounded package that bought high performance cars are.
Ha ha, he says it’s a Chevy at the start of the video. So excited!
Do you mean 0:17 when he said Shelby?
@@ALMX5DP Yes, it's hard getting old! Thanks for the correction.
welp… a senna isn’t a race car and didn’t list times with slicks. dumb comparison

Not a dumb comparison. At least the mustang will get driven more than that hypercar pile of parts. Looks better and performed better.
