That's a pretty incorrect blanket statement. "Low" is a perspective. And most people are trying to keep the torque down intentionally. What other platforms with "high" torque are u comparing it to?
@@bdalchemist I shouldn't have phrased it like that. I usually watch Subaru channels when I came across yours on evos and seen the tq is usually lower. so, I was wondering is it something in the block or why the reason was? i may buy an evo in the future as I really like the 10"s.
Typically Subarus are larger displacement. Also they use smaller turbo due to the desired hp (mostly). Smaller turbos produce more torque. Most 500 hp evos have turbos capable of 100-200hp more. Offcourse I am generalizing

Hard to say, but it's more on cylinder pressure , stock sleeves not forgiving to detonation
