This video is absolutely quality. Without this post I wouldn’t have been able to achieve the link between the dvr hik and doorbell. Complex job but a lot easier with this video. Thank you for sharing

Good thing about removing the PIR is that people don't get confused about where to press to ring the bell (an actual problem with the old model...)

Lot going on for a tiny device, to have it do recording over Wi-Fi is crazy IMO. I fitted the DB1 for my folks and regret it, Wi-Fi router is on the ceiling literally 3m away and I get 1 bar reception. My phone gets 4 bars. I wish these manufacturers would drop the insane 24v design combined with Wi-Fi. PoE is the way!

I returned the DB1C camera because it wasn’t connecting to my WiFi. The process of configuration stopped at 90% every time. You think this could be an error of my network? Please if you can help ? Thanks

yes it will probably be the local Wi-fi , is the 2.4ghz enabled?, is the password simple , if the Wi-Fi password can be set to be more simple it might then connect 😊

So the chime got deleted to add the doorbell to dvr but the chime never got added back on? So does that mean if you want it on the dvr then the chime is redundant because once the chime is added back on the doorbell ties with the chime and disappears from the network? 🤦‍♂️

Hi tony , the best thing to try is delete the device from the app , if its added there even , then do a default on the device by pressing and holding the reset button , the add to app again, make sure the Wi-Fi is strong in that area , and sometimes special characters throw it out , if you can make it a more simple password , let us know

    • @DVSLTD

assuming you are using a plug and play NVR with POE ports on, which means it wont let you add an additional camera if it’s the 8ch / 16ch NVR , in that case you will need to choose a POE port that is not occupied , then select the edit symbol on that POE port line , say POE 16 , and then change from plug and play to manual adding and add the camera in manually via IP address and password 😊

I have this kit up and running. If I get a power cut, the wireless chime won't operate ( after power is restored) unless i I disable and then re-enable in the app. I'm not too happy about this. My WiFi is running at over 70mb/s all over the house ( on 2.4 ghz) . This confirmed by Meteor App on my phone.
