I see you liking replies from 6 days ago.. but what about the iphone 11 /12 / 13 questions from 2 months ago? We dont have that mails to sync option at the bottom? You have tips for people who still uses phones from 5/6 years ago but what about (majority of the) people who uses 11 or higher ?

Thanks Dave, your video was the only one that showed me how to show more of my emails on iphone 6 & 7 . Now I can find them all. In my case I travel overseas, sometimes need to pull up an older email to show someone at customs or immigration, it was insanely frustrating to hook up my laptop to do this.
Now my phone will do it.

I dont have the option that says 'mail days to sync' all see is mail, contacts, calendars, reminders, notes and then delete account... its driving me nuts that my phone removes older emails I need and I have to sign into a desktop to view them

Great Dave. My wife has been grumbling about "disappearing emails"from her iPhone8 for ages. I followed your instructions with her standing next to me and within seconds they all started coming back. I would have thought Apple would use "no limit" instead of "1 month" as the default setting. Anyway she owes me big time.😋

Hi - This doesnt seem to work for Gmail? I can see exchange/outlook as having the option to sync more than a month, but I dont get that on gmail. Any ideas?

Hi. Trying to fix this problem for my sister. However, you don't mention which iPhone model you are referring to, nor which iOs. The options you describe don't appear on her iPhone 7 with iOs 14.5. She uses Gmail.

Sadly I don’t have ‘days to sync’ on my iPhone 12.
Try opening your Apple ID (main or email) settings page, then look in iCloud settings, then scroll to the page bottom-separate and after all the apps, and then look for an unmarked link that says just email to get to the settings page this video refers to.
It looks like Apple moved the page so it’s harder to find!

My OS is 15.7 and I don’t have the “mail days to sync”…. Any advise?
My problem is I’m happy to lose most emails after a month, but I’d like to be able to access those I’ve put in personal folders; such as the one’s I call, Holidays, Gig tickets, Theatre tickets etc. Some of these aren’t through booking services on Apps or who send PDF tickets etc. It’s most annoying when I have to access these in laborious other ways?

I sure wish my iphone 13 had these screens. I all of sudden lost all my emails from my inbox. I only had the two that came that day only! Doesn’t work for me. I have no setting for mail days to sync or any reference to syncing or days for any of my mail accounts on either my iPad or my iPhone. And looking for a recent email to answer (last couple of weeks from a group I work with twice a week on Zoom and for which we normally receive one or two messages a week) brings up one email from 4 months ago and one from two years ago. (That’s on iPad - nothing at all on iPhone).

This works if you’ve added new email accounts, but not for the iCloud email. There is no mail days to sync, can you show us how to fix it?
