This really is a hidden treasure - a Seekers song in the form of a jingle for Pacesetter Travel, unheard since the mid 60's, complete with Judith Durham's perfect lead and the Boys' trademark harmonies. Many people will find this music old-fashioned, but fortunately there is also a large audience that likes this music. The Seekers always make me smile. The cheerfulness, old and young are dancing. Isn't this the best medicine in these times. With the only side effect that it might make you very happy? Three gentlemen and a lovely woman (and what a voice she has). I'm a big big big fan.

I was only 5 or 6 when my aunt used to play the Seekers on her record player at home. That memory is still with me. What a pure sound............

Really lovely to see and hear this performance, the unmistakable sound of the Seekers and the incomparable voice of Judith Durham. I happen to share the same birthday as Judith (3rd July) and I count myself as one of the Seekers earliest fans. I still have a boxed reel to reel tape which was released on the World Record Club label, and a original promotional photo taken of the group on Westminister bridge when they first arrived in London. Happy days!

Life was lighter and free for some and understandably many of those people will feel that way. However there were terrible times for people who were not of the right pigmentation.
Sadly dispite some progress on that issue the world is not a better place today, in many respects it's far worse.
One of the best bands on planet.

They remind me so much of the 60s and though the 60s were great ... the 50s was much better. This song reminds me of how much I'd love it if I could go back in time. They seem to have a magic aura about them. Too bad I never got to see them live, When the time came I got a vacation cruise to Vietnam, then everything changed. Things are what they are ... I have been a Seekers fan for 50 years and don't ever recall seeing Judith play an instrument
I believe Judith was a trained classical pianist. However she never took the final exam to become a "qualified " concert pianist.
She played the piano in their Farewell show in 1968 - you can find it on my channel. 👍

@@malcomgolightly468 True. Judith had a stroke a few years back. It was reported that she recovered. I'm sure though that there was permanent damage. At this age, she won't have fully recovered. A fine lady. A beautiful voice and a trained pianist.
@@rashidahmad7830 Well (writing this after her death) she recovered enough for them to do their 50th anniversary tour, and I can vouch (saw them on Tyneside) that, though a little old lady in appearance, she still sounded very little different to here!

I really like Judith's descending "fly away". I just really like this song... even though it's an ad jingle/song. Has a good groove too. Lots of light, airy, bouncy high bass - makes perfect sense! Big fan of the bass line... executed extremely well I think...

They did a 50th anniversary tour in the 201s - delayed by a year or so as Judith had a stroke, but she recovered - singing voice anyway, I don't know if she got her piano skills back (or whether she lost them) enough for them to do the tour (I saw it on Tyneside in England). Sadly Judith died in August 2022; the "boys" are still with us (as of 2023-4-28).

These are scenes from their 1968 movie The World of the Seekers. They are reenacting their travel to England in 1964 when they had to play dancing music for the passengers.
The Seekers were (and are) one squeaky clean group.
