Great artists, the Seekers are incomparable. We are privileged to still be able to listen to their songs. RIP Judith, your grandiose voice is dearly missed all over the world.
Judith Durham had a beautiful voice and personality. The Seekers were a “Feel Good” light and airy band. Their music was uplifting! The Seekers definitely left their mark in America and Internationally! We’ll never find another Judith Durham! ❤
I thought I had seen this video before, but only the Georgy girl segment. Judith's voice still gives me chills. It's such a cool arrangement with the choir and orchestra. The expression on Judith's face in parts shows she's not totally happy with how it's going. Anyone who has ever sung in public knows that feeling. That said, they did an amazing job. I feel transported back to the 1960's.
The seekers absolutely brilliant Judith Durham may not be with us but her beautiful voice we can still all share never tiered of listening to the seekers love it
I loved it. It's great seeing this older footage of live appearances [the video quality is great too]. Their voices blend so well even when Judith's is prominent. Thank you so much for these great videos - especially us in the US.
Thank you - I upscaled the whole Myer performance, using the original audio with some subtle restoration, but it was blocked! Usually these blocks only last a while, but this one has been in force for over 5 years now. Maybe it's an oversight, or perhaps it's due for release as a bonus DVD with 'Hidden Treasures vol3'. The block only seems to apply to the complete clip, hence this edited version. Would you like to join our Seekers Facebook group? Details are in the video description.
@@markhill9275 i was trying to be nice you just may be right on that mark i agree with you have you heard her sing danny boy or this is my song written by charlie chaplin made famous by petula clark but judith does it better in my opinion
@@tomharrison6607 I've heard a lot of Judith, you should listen to Judith Durham and The Hottest Band In Town. She is truly in her element singing Jazz, just blows the roof off! Or listen to her sing When The Stars Begin To Fall. There is just so much to love about Judith!
@@markhill9275 i love when the stars begin to fall also all over the world originally done by francoise hardy five hundred miles is simply incredible what an achievement to have a voice like hers
Just think….57 years have passed since this performance. Even the youngsters in the crowd are of retirement age and yet…AND YET we’re still enjoying this classic music. I don’t believe that ANYONE, in 57 years, will be listening to the garbage that is out there today. Call it hip hop, rap, emo, punk, funk, new wave, edm…whatever. Just don’t confuse it with music….or entertainment.
I agree with most of your post, except your last sentence or so. There's plenty of good music around today if you care to look for it that will stand the test of time just as there's plenty of music from 50 or 60 years ago that's been completely forgotten because it was garbage.
As an Asian (not Australian, living in Asia) I really hate what Asians have done to beautiful Melbourne and Sydney. The entire cities are now just Chinatowns where the original white Australians, along with their beautiful culture are a rarity. For this, I cherish such videos so much.
