So here's a fun fact: As you may have noticed, Mitsuru is pretty high-class and even uses French phrases. In the original Japanese version, instead of French, she uses English. (This was true in the original version as well.) In Japan, whenever you want to say something important or want to seem high-class, you speak English. Obviously, it's impossible to translate English to, well, English, so they switched it to French instead because there's a somewhat similar relationship between English speakers and the French language: it's regarded as high-class in America. (I don't know about other English-speaking countries.) Another fun fact: Allegra Clark, Mitsuru's voice actor in Reload, speaks fluent French.
"I wonder if you feel anything when using the evokers?" From what I understand, it's mainly the act of holding a gun to your head and pulling the trigger that's important. Many people hesitate even with a toy gun. There is some level of fear and adrenaline. It helps induce a feeling a moment of crisis, which makes summoning the persona possible. But the animation _does_ show a spectral splatter. So there might be some kind of sensation. I don't think the game addresses it anywhere.
I remember reading somewhere that an original concept was that the Evokers were real guns, and the characters would die and instantly be revived to use Persona skills, though for some reason (probably the constant death if teenagers via self-inflicted gunshot) it was changed to the Evokers, which just give the sensation of near-death. I could he wrong though haha
I think it was mentioned in the companion art books that the Evokers are basically filled with blanks and just make a very loud noise and it's supposed to be the act of pulling the trigger and the sound that trigger you're survival instinct and stress you out to the point where you basically summon your Persona out of instinct since the Dark Hour is so close to reality that using your Persona is super difficult and taxing that most people can't do it at all (it took one character 3 years of constant practice before she was able to use her Persona abilities in reality). The Evoker also has an item called a Plum of Dusk which allows the tech in it to continue to operating during the Dark Hour and the Plum of Dusk also enhances Persona summoning abilities which can help serve that final push during a summoning or an extra safety net so you don't knock yourself out trying to summon a Persona for longer than your body can currently take it.
@@declanmckenna6854I guess that would explain the fire that comes out of their heads if it’s just a perception thing. Nothing actually coming out, but since it triggers the persona the blue fire that comes with it would happen immediately after pulling the trigger.
It's interesting how these games seem to have different themes for their Personas. In this game it's Ancient Greek myth, in 4 it's Japanese myth, and in 5 it's historical and literary figures known for going against the grain.

The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yes, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed...
So remember at the start of Persona 4 Igor used the tarot cards to read the P4MC future which ended up in the Tower and the Moon cards this was probably a reference to Persona 3 Tartarus and Dark Hour in the same way the start of Persona 3 so many characters were talking about rumors being kinda bad as rumors were the main plot device of Persona 2.
To answer your Evoker question: Their Personas are summoned when they feel their life is in peril. Shooting yourself in the head sure seems to qualify! So the Evoker is made in the shape of a gun, and it recoils and makes a loud noise just like a gun, but there is no bullet to be fired. There is a small hole in the front to make it look like there's a barrel, but that's it. It's made to _evoke_ the feeling.
Small tip, as you play through the game, occasionally check the command rooms console Your room wasnt the only one that was bugged, and it gives cute little character moments (If evan really likes misturu he will absolutely love checking that console often)
Hm.. Idk about that. I hear that this game is a 1:1 remake of the original game. The command room clips was FES content. But I hope I'm wrong though. I've never played the original PS2 ver myself. Maybe bits of FES from my cousin's old PS2. But I have beaten P3P which does use some FES content minus The Answer
To answer the evoker question. The evoker is necessary because it's the only safe way to summon a persona in the real world. 4 and 5 can only summon their persona in a alternate dimension. There is a way to summon a persona in the real world without an evoker but that requires an impossibly strong will and mental strength. The evokers work by putting yourself in a situation of potential death. It's basically the embodiment of everyone shows their true face when confronted with death.
17:12 i’m kind of bummed they didn’t use the original line from the original game. The line for that was originally, “Tartarus, what’s that? Sounds like toothpaste”.

1. Physical attacks have 3 groups blades, blunt and projectile. 2. Junpei and Yukari are practicaly same duo as Ryuji and Ann axept Yukari is the one with agresive temper. Btw, just remember that if a party member is knocked down or afflicted with a status effect, they do not participate in an all out attack, greatly reducing its potency.
I don’t remember if they explain it in game, but evokers do hurt. They’re meant to simulate the pain of a real gun, so using them basically causes your persona to activate in self-defense

Today's question, after reading Turnabout Communication (An Ace Attorney and Komi Can't Communicate fan crossover), it got me thinking of this: how would an Ace Attorney and Spy x Family crossover would work? I would say that in this instance Yor is arrested for a crime she didn’t commit. The reason is the culprit is trying get rid of the Thorn Princess (Yor's true identity) in the most clean way possible (clean as in no evidence left behind). In turn, Loid (true identity: Spy) and Anya (a telepath) who were looking for a lawyer encounters Phoenix, Maya, and Pearl, who were on vacation in Ostania thanks to a lottery. You can assume Anya would have fun reading Phoenix's mind as if he has done already, he has to join forces with one who ACTUALLY reads minds. Lastly, It would be safe to assume the he would uncover the trio's identities; he wouldn’t stop at anything at getting the truth to the point even Loid would be impressed. (A lawyer who has the thinking capability of a spy.)

Tartarus, huh? I wonder if we'll find Kronos down here somewhere. Jokes aside, loving the visual improvements so far. And the new AOA sprites. They cooked.
Not sure if anyone has told you guys but… in P3 it’s really easy to miss some social links. Like some are locked behind other social links who themselves are locked behind social stats so…. Have fun!
Evan is right when he says that the major arcana dialogue takes too long, I accidentally skipped it too
SEES is a group I really enjoy. Also Tartarus! Now with no fatigue system (thank God), I like Tartarus I like the idea of an everchanging dungeon that is different every day you visit it. Also yeah the PS2 versions always had the team members be CPU controlled (which does have it's narrative advantages)
I love the battle themes to this game so much
I don’t really mind the mass destruction remix and it’s going down now is in my opinion one of the best battle themes in the series
Tartar sauce sure does taste bitter 😂
1. Physical attacks have 3 groups blades, blunt and projectile.
2. Junpei and Yukari are practicaly same duo as Ryuji and Ann axept Yukari is the one with agresive temper. Mitsuru is a combination of Makoto Nijima's (Our emoboy's cannon name is Makoto Yuki) don't piss me off energy and authoritativnes with Haru's polite rich lady status, while Akihiko is Yusuke Kitagawa with actulal finantial skills and boxing insted of the art making him the tough guy of the group.
Welcome to another episode of Japanese buffy the vampire slayer.
Btw, just remember that if a party member is knocked down or afflicted with a status effect, they do not participate in an all out attack, greatly reducing its potency.
Fun fact: Hades was a Persona that a main character had in Persona 2
It was the original release of the game where you couldnt control your party.
I would like to defend Evan on the start of the fool arcana. It is a very unnaturally long pause
I don’t remember if they explain it in game, but evokers do hurt. They’re meant to simulate the pain of a real gun, so using them basically causes your persona to activate in self-defense
Huh, I see, interestin
Akihiko reminds me a lot of Felix from Fire Emblem Three Houses
have you two considered playing the game oneshot? its got very undertale esque gameplay and artstyle and some very cool fourth wall breaking puzzles. i havent seen very many people play it and even less get to the true ending and i would love to see my favorite letsplayers play one of my favorite games, love watching u guys keep up the good work!
I know this is supposed to be P3 but I want to continue with my questions.
Tartarsauce
so from now on i'll mention minor differences between makoto and kotomi's versions (aka being male or female)
but before that
am i the only one who thinks makoto's casual winter attire look's like akechi's? casul/what we see him wear most of the time
anyways
i have three for today
1: while makoto uses swords kotomi uses naginatas
2: orpheus has a slightly different apperance
3: junpei's reason for not thinking the protag should the leader
male: not thinking they're strong (or such)
female: cuz she's a girl (i'm not kidding)
also a joke in the fandom is that they're twin siblings and...nevermind
oh i have one other thing
in the original and fes version (aka the one with the answer but no femc) *you could not control your party memebers*
and another anoyance that's changed in reload/psp
*until reload you didn't get access to the persona compendium in the velvet room until later*
anyways that's all
i dont know if its just my perception but the game seems blurry sometimes on the video so just letting you know, if youre playing on "borderless fullscreen" there is a bug that halves/lowers the Texture resolutions. Just play on Normal "Fulscreen" and the game should be good again.
if your gonna cheat on the class questions, just use the network buttun like p5 to cheat the answers
The network options comes out only later.
Is Tartarus going to be this game’s version of Mementos?
Yes
but if this came first... does that make Mementos P5's version of Tartarus :O
@@ExtemporaneousnessOne In a sance Mementos are Tartarus (At least the original one, not sure how much it changed in reload) and Palaces are P4 dungeons.
Basically, but unlike P5, Tartarus is the main dungeon
It’s funny
P3 has Tartarus
P4 has dungeons
P5 has dungeons and Tartarus
Junpei, Yosuke and Ryuji/Skull. Let's see people, who is “the Best Bruh character?
For me is Yosuke, Ryuji is cool too and the real Bruh in the whole series but I prefer Yosuke.
Junpei, and it's not even close
Ryuji is best boy, not best bruh
@@destinydivided8689 More Best Bruh than best boy to me 😅
Current theory that chairman seems all nice now but I have a feeling he's the big bad or a big bad at least. How does he know all of this information yet he can't summon his persona? Seems fishy
wtf you sound EAXCTLY like Junpei but only whem you don't try to lol
Whats Tartarus? I only know Tarta Sauce
It p3vanilla & fes can't control party members
Japanese names doesn't have stresses for god's sake
Tartar sauce?
42:13 persona 3 fes PS2
oof. ikutsuki sounds really bitter about not being able to summon a persona himself. i don't trust him >_>
Mmmm… tartarus. 😋🥣
I'm already missing Teddie and his puns
I don't, but I will admit this is worse
Since it doesn't seem like they will play the arena games I will say we meet his son in those games and his puns are even worse (also every player immediately clocks that it's his son the moment he starts making bad puns).
…why would having Scandinavian blood affect anything? Is this an American thing, like how Irish Americans get all weird about that?
7:36 "Oh, I thought it was because I drank four Five Hour Energy drinks before I came here."
17:39 Oh, it's a VERY fitting term. More on that waaaay later.😏
Evan Ali did you know that in Greek mythology that Tartarus is the lowest parts of the world and where the gods locked up their enemies ps it’s also a living thing
11:50 it's absolutely their fault since the same thing happened to me lol, the break is super long for some reason. Probably japanese-dialogue related.
5:52 When did Featherman R show up again?!
11:44 Another reason why Lavenza is the best attendant
12:46 I hate this guy more and more
15:33 , 15:44 The potannnnntial!
Arbiter- Tartarus; the prophets, have betrayed us
- Halo 2
18:58 Careful, Evan
21:46 How can he have seen it when he never heard of it?
23:47 Junpei is starting to annoy me, and he never annoyed me in the other versions
29:26 Huh. I think in the previous versions, you were forced in.
Still prefer P5's all out attack
50:18 Was it because of the mystery persona?
58:44 Me- Thank you
I like Junpei again
59:44 This woman should be fired!
1:01:18 XD It's funny because this is a harem game
Also, I thought there was only two groupies
Now for me being sassy
1:58 I'm here to tell you right now, we don't care
2:21 Snappy comeback: Your mother
10:25 If it were me, I would've said no, everyone would throw a fit and I'd leave. Yukari would probably cry and say stuff like "take responsibility".
18:13 , 58:39 Makoto- I don't care, I wanna die someday
57:27 :) Okay, no take backs! Misuru is the worst. You have terrible taste XD
58:07 Me- BORRRRING! You don't wanna hear about that, Vault Hunter! You wanna hear about loot, and pecs and explosions!
58:27 Me- That sentence had too many syllables! Apologize!
Potantial!- 4
