That ghost chase at the end was really quite good. I can understand the reason behind the ESC delay between forward and reverse and the slower start, but it would be nice if you could disable it. Balancing performance with durability on all plastic gears is a difficult thing to do well.
I have a carisma tr24 truggy and its absolutely awesome.and yes they have all aluminum oil shocks. They make a huge difference as well. I have an extra set if youd like them.

Have 8 of these,only use a 1s battery and my bud and I have a blast. Using a 550mh hv we get like 20min. Plenty fast if you are on a small track. Love these cars!! Had them for 4 yrs
I have one of these and totally hacked it after an unforced error dropped it into a pool that fried the stock electronics. I glued in a Blade 150s cyclic servo, a hobbywing 24th scale esc and the stock motor. More than even power, but the servo doesn't give me enough steering travel. But who care, it's works and it's rippin' around my living room!
They look fun! I bet they would be a blast with a few friends running on a good track. Does the drifter have a a different steering throw than the rally? Sorry if I missed it in the video!
Hey Phil! These and the lil wltoys 1/28 are some of my favorite little cars to thrash around in my garage and driveway. I've never seen you do anything with any airborne RC toys despite being an airplane mechanic. Would you try out one of the beginner fpv drone kits or maybe a plane? I'm an FPV pilot and a channel like yours could really grow my favorite hobby and introduce more people to the awesome gift of flight.
The issue I have with flying is space to fly anything and time. It would take a lot longer to record to get good shots etc. I may do one day… although I’ve never really been interested in flying
Dont forget, you can use the lipo battery from the small wlc toys, cheap and more powerfull them thee carisma. I hope they will release the tr version with the new chassis too.
Cool little cars but for that price we should get metal gears. I like the idea of opening these up like they did but what I see is about $100-$120. At $120 I would order several.

Maybe you could ask some of your fellow R/C enthusiasts in the area to spend a bit of time and clean up areas that you all like to film and play at… our hobby gets too much bad press and we need some good people to show that our hobby is all about fun and community

Very cool lookin little cars. Sadly we don't have the space to run rally/drift cars indoors. Taken over part of the garden for a small 24th scale crawler course but not enough space for a decent sized rally or drift track. Local terrain is OK for Mini crawlers but would be a struggle with Mini rally cars and even the smoothest bit of road in the village is too rough for Mini drift cars. Have a 12th scale DAF racing drift truck that is ace fun, just big enough to handle available surfaces (Modified 12th scale Kamtec stock car truck body on modified WLtoys buggy chassis with mods to make it rally better, tops out at 51MPH ) If only someone would bring out some decent 12th scale rally cars. Looking at a few body shells & thinking I might have to cobble together another rally car shell on a modified HyperGo or WLtoys chassis until some decent 12th scale rally cars turn up. 8th scale MK1 Escort shell on a modified 10th scale chassis is my offroad rally monster for winter fun in local pine forests and abandoned coal mine sites but a wee bit too mental for in the village.
They should just sell the bodies. They seem so delicate compared to the wltoys 1/28 scale cars. I beat on my 284010 rally indoors and outdoors and I'm working on turning my k989 into a rwd drifter. I would love that puma redbull body

With 3S Lipo 300mah battery easily 20 min riding time and 50_Miles 75km/h with ease. Oil damper independent suspension, also about 12cm wheelbase, and 11cm wide, but with double width wishbone at the bottom, perfect for slightly uneven roads or sand. Drive made entirely of metal, indestructible. about 200gr complete Sry, the car there is worth max. 90$.. Completely exaggerated price, I can go Horizon Hobby right away, so at the model building shop around the corner
I absolutely hate the soft start and throttle/brake "issue" on the Subaru, I was super excited to have one of these, the 22B Wrc. Now sadly its a shelf queen because off this.
What about scx24 big bore oil shocks? Would they fit? I've seen stock 33mm and 40mm big bore options on the jungle web site and options in between but not big bore

Waste of time… it’ll just get trashed again within days. It’s privately owned land, just not secured and has a public footpath through it

I think Carisma has upgrade oil shocks. I have them on my YZ24. It was when they made the older fully enclosed version
They have them for the buggies, so I wonder if they'd fit these little rally cars as well. I have them on my GT24B. They're really a nice upgrade.

They make the best 1/24 cars. I have 5 of them. 2 s lipo wakes it up. I told you that years ago. 25 mph is nuts for something that small.

They make brass speed pinion that I installed on a few of mine. They are harder to find a few years ago

It seems so much better value for the money in comparison to the Mini Z.
