    If you are trying to install baseboards in your home, using rounded corners might seem like the easiest option. The truth is, these are a little harder to install than cutting your own bullnose base corners. They never really line up perfectly so you have to sand them out to get the best end result.
    Don't worry, this video makes it easy to learn how to do it yourself quickly and easily with these pro tips.

  • @j-kane5922

    Damn, I was cutting 45 degree angles on the inside corners (hoping they were 45!) I'm gonna use this method from now on...straight cut with a cope at the top Thanks!

    Question,,,,, what is the angle to fit round corner and baseboard? Thank you,
    Excellent and clean job.

    Nice work and great detailed work. I am trying to find these rounded corners for a 0.5" x 5.5" plain rectangular baseboard with an eased top corner but so far only found a few units at Contractor's Supply and I need 30 more but they refuse to custom order and said they will be back in stock "some day". Any ideas of places that sell them online? (HD and Lowe's don't carry them)

      @AltruisticWarrior 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm. Not sure if they'll ship to you but a place here in Vegas carries nearly every trim you can think of at lower prices than anyone else by far. One Stop Trim Shop. Worth at least calling them and seeing what they can do.

    Thanks. I am laying new vinyl plank flooring and reinstalling baseboards with the nice rounded bull nose corners. This will help a lot. I just ordered the glue. Question though, how do you handle walls that are slightly out of square?

    • @crownmoldinginstaller6624
      @crownmoldinginstaller6624  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      silvershadow415 if it’s the inside corners, coping the base takes care of that. If the outside corners are off a bit you can cut the end of the baseboards at 2/3 degrees on the bevel depending how bad it is so it’s not sticking off the wall too far. Vinyl plank is awesome! I’m laying that next when I replace my floors..

    Who do you buy that style of MDF from? I am in Florida and can't find the rounded corners at Lowe's or Home Depot.

    • @AltruisticWarrior

      Gotta look for a place that sells trim and moulding, maybe even a lumber yard. Most places like that will carry or at least be able to order corner pieces that match the profiles they sell. Some even make them in house.

    • @crownmoldinginstaller6624
      @crownmoldinginstaller6624  ปีที่แล้ว

      Where I am they sell them where they sell the baseboards.. I do lots of installs where I cut my own corners and I do prefer that over the rounded corners.

      Generally specialty stores that sell trim and moulding. Excellent place here in Vegas is One Stop Trim Shop. I wonder if they ship orders actually. 🤔

      Arun Kumar they might have some at Home Depot, I use El & El wood products for mine. I’m sure you can look it up and see if they are in your area 👍🏻

    It looks like you used a braid nailer, why not a headless nailer?

    • @crownmoldinginstaller6624
      @crownmoldinginstaller6624  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve seen some guys use long pin nails around my area. While it looks great at first, every job I’ve seen after a few months has cracked caulking and corners. I don’t think the pin nails can hold the base in place with the expansion and contraction of the wood/mdf like brad nails. I just don’t want to go back to jobs to re-caulk them is the short answer 👍🏻

    What glue is that?

    • @crownmoldinginstaller6624
      @crownmoldinginstaller6624  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scott Tekavec Hi Scott, it’s 2P-10 glue and activator. There’s a link to it in the description. I use the thick glue myself, so it doesn’t drip off the wood.. learned the hard way!
